Beautiful gastro-pub type hotel. Modern, clean rooms. Lovely helpful staff

My only small criticism was some of the bar staff were inexperienced so our coffees were cold, had to ask for spoons twice and didn’t get the pastry 🥐 and when it came it was cold, despite asking twice for it to be warmed up. Teabags missing from room and small milk left out had gone off. Think UHT milk would be best as there’s no fridge. Rooms are lovely but staying longer than a few days might pose a problem as there’s very little clothes hanging space, even in the larger room. And getting to them means going up lots of steps which isn’t suitable for some.

We loved this place. The staff was really welcoming and friendly. I loved the decor in our room with seating near the windows and a view out onto the river and contemporary artworks by Chad Wys. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. It's a lovely pub to relax in with indoor and outdoor seating. The pub and bistro were a great place for an after-explore drink and then dinner. Try the Trio of Roasts if it's still on the menu; delicious. We had to get off early the next morning so didn't stay for breakfast but if dinner was any indication then I think breakfast would have been fabulous.

Not the easiest place to find. Our GPS had us going around in circles. Just remember that it's directly on the river bank not far from the bridge and its at the base of a big car park.

Room.. Location, right by the river Avon in town centre. Many outside tables for drinks and eating, some right next to river path,and we watched the wildlife and the people paddle boarding and rowing and walking family and dogs. Beautiful trees. Garden tables dog friendly. Staff very cheerful and friendly.

One tiny detail, bathroom needed a small towel rail next to wash basin for hand washing. Otherwise room had everything we needed, even real coffee maker and portable but efficient air conditioner. (weather hot when we were there)

Contemporary country style: Great bar serving cocktails and ales; exciting menu with plenty of option for meat/veg/pescatarian, A breath of fresh air. I booked Timbrell’s Yard following a recommendation from Molly at Carina Baverstock’s Bridal Boutique, Bradford on Avon. I booked the room from the UAE which was incredibly easy 👌 The room was a fantastic price so I didn’t expect much. The team were fantastic! Karla and Doug in particular were friendly and welcoming. I’m already planning my next trip for when I am in the UK.

Location for what we wanted. Very helpful staff. An "interesting" mezzanine room where although we were warned that the view was restricted, we were very happy watching the wild life in the leafless trees immediately outside the window overlooking the river. The room would be darker when the trees were in leaf.

Four quibbles in descending order: 1 - no short flush for the loo and given last year's drought for example, we would have thought a simple water saving feature would have been "bog" standard!; 2 - having to pay extra for coffee at breakfast when we could have had one for free in the room; 3 - lighting in the sitting area in the room inadequate meaning the standard lamp had to be moved around to provide sufficient light for both of us; 4 - In-room brochure out of date. It says Netflix available on the Smart TV - it wasn't. No problem with this, but the brochure shouldn't say it's there if it isn't.

Staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful. Restaurant was very good, breakfasts were great and the Sunday Roast excellent. Added bonus that you can park in the nearby Train Station car park and the cost and permit covered by the Hotel for your stay. Only 2 stops into Bath from the Train Station

Room was a little small but comfortable. Bad timing for us the Town car park was being resurfaced during our stay which made the access difficult to the Hotel as you have to pass through there to get to the main entrance.

Timbrell's Yard is the only “newly appointed” accommodation in the town centre of Bradford on Avon, it's ideally situated and has some excellent walks in the vicinity.

Timbrell's Yard is not cheap; but the bonus is that the clients know how to behave, the term “genteel” used to be applied in days past. The food is excellent, the staff are so cheerful, I intend to go again because I can afford to.

A very comfortable hotel in a brilliant location ,nestled in this chocolate box historic cotswold town next to the Avon. Lovely rooms and facilities,bar/restaurant ,with extensive outdoor seating. Staff are super polite and professional,a special mention to Olivia ,whose excitment and enthusiasm for making others happy should be bottled and sold. Highly recommend.nN

Fab location in a beautiful Town. Excellent welcome. Room an adequate size. Great lunch on a riverside terrace served by friendly and expert staff.

Pity that the Kitchen closed at 9pm as we were attending a concert and would have liked to eat afterwards.. However we bought some takeaway and sat at the river terrace with hotel drinks and not a word was said!

The location was perfect for the function we were attending. The room was delightful spacious and clean. Breakfast was Al a Carte and again excellent - served by a very bright and attentive young lady. Great riverside walk.

Cannot find fault with a very well run place to stay right in the heart of this delightful town in Wilshire.
