Spacious room with comfortable large bed. Windows were able to be opened to the garden and fresh air. Ample storage space and good sized TV. Bathroom was roomy with good hot water supply. Great hairdryer and bathroom amenities.

Room was quite warm and the fan supplied was too loud and strong to have on at night. On one day the room was not serviced until we asked after we had been out all day, then a towel supplied was dirty. The coffee maker wasnt great and the coffee supply was meagre, could have asked for more, but I dont like to go scrounging for supplies when in a luxury resort.

The food in the restaurant was excellent, I would say better than Angela Hartnetts restaurant in Limewood hotel ( the new forest)all of Homewood food for the restaurant is grown on the premises too. The breakfast was good value, with many options. I didn’t use the spa as all appointments were booked. The facilities with the spa looked very nice but the main pool was outside and a smaller hydro pool inside. More appealing to me in the summer months. All staff were friendly and accommodating. The views from the hotel were stunning.

I have stayed in The Pig chain of hotels many times in Hampshire, Homewood aspires to match this I think. The rustic element is nice but I found it was a little tatty in places and the owners need to pay attention to detail. Hooks left in the ceiling from decorations, the carpet in the restaurant didn’t look like it had been hovered from the night before. The building is listed(old)We opened a window in our room and was unable to close it again for our two day stay. The fire alarm went off at 5am which was a worry, the staff didn’t contact us to apologise, myself and other guests went to reception the following morning to find out what the problem was.

The hotel is located in a beautiful estate. It has spacious gardens where you can sit and enjoy the tranquility. Our unit was well-sized and included two rooms which enabled us to stay together as a family while it didn’t feel crowded. The rooms were very clean, the beds are very comfortable. There were complementary tea, coffee and even yummy brownies! The heated pool is lovely as is the jacuzzi and they are open 12 hours which gives you lots of flexibility in terms of when you want to use them. The staff is friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast is delicious with lots of choice. We also booked dinner at the Olio restaurant which was delicious. The dining conservatory is gorgeous, overlooking the estate and surrounded by beautiful plants. We also did lovely walks, departing from the hotel by foot - highly recommended! (there’s a helpful booklet in the room with a map and suggested local walks).

Spa- pool good temperature. Availability of beds and towels excellent. Breakfast- good variety of food to choose from. Food excellent. Room- we had a junior suite which was lovely. Tea and coffee and water supplied on a daily basis. The weather was very warm and provision of fans in each room kept the temperature cool in the room suite Staff very friendly and helpful. had dinner in the restaurant on two nights. good value for money and food was very nice. Snacks, extra water and milk available from reception for guests. Plenty of parking. Grounds lovely to walk about

Everything was wonderful but our main takeaway was how exceptional the service was. Everyone was so friendly. We loved how dog friendly the hotel was too. Spa was lovely. Food was delicious. Would come back!

The staff were really friendly & helpful, we were shown around upon arrival and our room was ready early! The room was beautiful, clean and had everything you could possibly need (including Smeg kettle & coffee machine). There were brownies in our room upon arrival which was a lovely gesture too! Bed was seriously comfy, we both had great nights sleep. The spa facilities are on the smaller side to some others we’ve been to but still perfectly useful with everything you could need: outdoor jacuzzi, outdoor swimming pool, indoor hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room & plenty of seating indoors/outdoor. The spa is also really well kept, tidy & clean. It is about 15 mins away from Bath so we tied our stay in with visiting Bath for the first time. There is also car parking which was great. An all round lovely experience, we couldn’t fault it!

The rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We took our labrador who was very well catered for with a bed provided which he found very comfortable and a little welcome with treats, poo bags and a ball. A water bowl was also provided. Breakfast was very good, we had a yoghurt to start, english breakfast and coffee. I would recommend this hotel to everyone looking stay in the Bath area.

It would have better if our rooms were closer together but I think this was unavoidable due to us requiring a double room and a twin room and there being a wedding at the hotel on that weekend.

Lovely peaceful location and grounds, friendly staff, good food (Breakfast at Olio, room service lunch and dinner at Olio), our elegant room was spacious, quiet and clean and we slept very well. The bathroom was lovely with a lovely rain shower and products. Also really liked the outdoor pool and the whole spa area which was clean and comfortable even though the weather wasn’t great. Also had excellent hot stone massages.

Telephone in the room needs replacing and my call to reception for room service took 6 attempts because the line kept cutting. I had to move the bedside table to reach for the plug the first time. In the spa, the steam room could have been warmer, the tiles were too cold to sit on and no one used the room. Otherwise we liked everything.

The staff were excellent, friendly, and available in sufficient numbers to provide a very good service indeed. The food was really outstanding and different vegetarian, GF, coeliac etc. dietary needs were willingly and expertly catered for. Beds were comfortable and everything clean and working. The location is really great and we'd stay there again.

Only a few small things outweighed by the generally excellent experience - in our very warm mews room it was hard to find a balance with the air conditioning unit provided and one of the two rooms we booked smelled somewhat stale and the ceiling smoke alarm was flashing all night so the occupant didn't get a great night's sleep. Dogs are welcome but it was a bit of a surprise to find that included dogs in the restaurant, albeit in a separate conservatory area.

The staff were excellent. Every single member of staff went out of their way to make our stay special. a particular thanks to Becky from the bar who gave fantastic service, any questions she didn’t know the answer to (as it was her first day) she promptly discovered and encouraged us to make the most out of our stay bringing drinks to different locations. Our massages were brilliant, the food was excellent. Really great stay, will be coming back.

If I were to nitpick I would say the steps into the pool weren’t the best but I did hear that they are in the process of replacing them. Some of the tiles in the spa could use a deep clean but that’s really nitpicking.
