Breakfast was fine. Booking .com told us it would be £10 per person. We had to pay £12.50p per person as we were told that the price had increased on 1st February. Could you please up date your records?

Dining room a little cold when we had our evening meal.

The hotel is in a beautiful area, with green, rolling hills. Mostly quiet. Our room was very spacious, with a separate sitting area. They also serve very yummy deserts (we didn't have anything else apart from breakfast).

Breakfast could definitely be improved by providing more choice. It is a self-service English breakfast, plus croissants (fresh and flaky), some fruit, yoghurt, juice, tea and coffee. I guess I am not a fan of English breakfast really, although the eggs were nice. Our room was quite hot, so was the whole floor. Not sure if it was because of the weather or something else. There was a fan in the room but it was still hard to sleep.

The reception was first rate, both welcoming and informative. The room was fine without being exceptional, however it was very clean, the beds were comfortable and it was peaceful and quiet both from within and without. The setting of the hotel is well placed in a pretty spot in the lovely river Avon valley in a pretty village with good walks nearby along both the river and the active Kennet and Avon canal. The breakfast was fine with a good choice of cooked items. Good options for sitting outside on the terrace and elsewhere in the garden.

A range of fruit in juice would have moved the breakfast rating to excellent. The bar area was somewhat cool in ambience.

The views of the surrounding countryside were amazing from our room. The outside beer garden was a nice place to sit and have dinner in the evenings. The staff were very accommodating. It's a short drive to the city centre of bath.

We stayed on the third floor. The elevator goes to the second floor then you have to maze your way to the third floor. (Request to stay on the second floor if you have a lot of luggage). The room got quite warm and could benefit from an air conditioner/ceiling fan in the room and also some fly screen on the windows to stop the night time bugs getting in on the warm nights. Needs an exhaust fan in the bathroom. It's a great spot for a destination wedding.

Limpley Stokes is a remote place off Bath, and a tiny (mostly) agricultural village. The hotel building is certainly the largest in town. The building itself is quite nice and rather old, showing some wear on the outside but very clean and surprisingly spacious inside. It's still an old house though, and the floor of my room (and most of others on the 1st floor) had a serious difference in level from one end to the other , but more fun than a bother. Their traditionnal english breaskfast is just *excellent*. Vey nice view from the bar terrace.

The last 100 yards of the access road to the hotel is really narrow and should better become a one way road sometime.

Lovely location, beautiful views, a good base to explore Bath. Breakfast was delicious and food from the bar menu was outstanding. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Room was lovely all freshly refurbished, it would of been even better to have a comfy chair in the room to relax in instead of an old dining room chair stuck in the corner of the room. The hotel is also a wedding venue, and it would be better if there was a designated lounge for residents away from the loud disco that went on all evening during both the weddings that were on during our stay.

Self service breakfast was good. Location was beautiful but a bit too far out of the way .No where to walk too.The room was beautiful but was very squeaky especially the bed and floor boards but that kind of added to the beauty of the hotel.

No ambiance in the dining room and the bar/lounge . Felt very cut off from everyone that was using the bar as it is very small.Spent most of the evenings in the room .The dining staff were very rushed as short staffed and on our last evening we sat at a table that was dirty and was told their colleague had not cleaned it nor did anyone offer too.

For what we wanted, this hotel was perfect. Close to Bath University but in a beautiful rural setting away from the hustle of town. Magnificent views. Plenty of parking. Spacious and characterful. Great value for money. Good breakfast and great bar/restaurant menu. Comfortable and friendly. Really great staff who seemed to enjoy their jobs and take pride in them. Extremely clean room with all expected accessories. Have already told family that we will be going back.

It exceeded my expectations - only stupidly small negative was uplighters instead of reading lights by the bed.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The property was spotlessly clean. The village and surroundings were beautiful. The air was fresh, and the terrace was a nice bonus. Ample car parking. Wonderful drive into Bath. So much nicer stay than in a 4-star hotel on the other side of Bath recently.

The hotel was 3-star, and the evening food and environment was 3-star quality. My room (#5) was large and spacious and clean and with a fine view; but the bathroom really needed hooks for clothes and a table or shelf to put bathroom things on.

This was the only hotel we have stayed in that provided an area to actually sit and relax in the evening rather than having to stay in your room. Also it was the only hotel that provided Mrs Pepper with skimmed milk all the other places we have stayed at including places like the Hilton in London failed to meet this.

Not enough room to park as there was a wedding on the Saturday and the overflow was a difficult walk for Mrs Pepper as she has a bad knee. Would suggest a separate bar for weddings and other guests.
