Let's kick off with some straight up facts - Hotel Pelirocco is INCREDIBLE! An absolute feast for the eyes, you can spend hours just roaming the corridors and stairwells taking everything in. We stayed in the Bowery Room which is a "small double" up in the loft space. I have stayed in regular size doubles that have had less room, to be entirely honest, it was more than comfortable. I also learned a lot about the icon that is Leigh Bowery as a result and really enjoyed reading the magazine articles on the walls. The DVD player with copy of Taboo was a really lovely touch. After we had been out in the evening, we came back and chilled in the beautiful bar area, drinking the most stunning cocktails (get the Myzo people, it's the nicest cocktail I have ever had) and the next morning we had the breakfast. The fact that there was such a beautiful vegan breakfast available was a wonderful surprise and whilst not included in the cost of the room as we had booked to stay via this site (hint), it was well worth the money. The selection of cereals and fruit was lovely and the coffee was goooooooooood! The staff are all brilliant and make you feel right at home from the second you walk in, you feel like you are staying with friends. The location is perfect and a short 15 minute stroll from the train station. All in all, I am so thrilled that this was the hotel we had booked to stay at, and I now can't wait to come back to Brighton to stay here again!
This was absolutely fine for us because we are short, but a heads up that if you're quite tall, you may struggle with the shower in the bathroom of the Bowery Room as the ceiling height is quite low. This wasn't a negative for us, but just a word of caution for someone else, who may want to book an alternative room.

Stayed in the Ali room for first two nights, then extended another two nights in the Star Wars room, all at discounted rates. The detail in both rooms was really extraordinary and a great way to cap off an otherwise more rugged backpacking trip for myself. Also, I was unexpectedly surprised by how good the range of water temperatures in the shower - very relaxing and better than a lot of other places I stayed at. You could spend a long time gazing at the walls of the place, like a museum. Staff (Alice, Lily) were super-helpful and friendly.

The staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful and went out of their way to make sure that not just my stay with them, but my time in Brighton was wonderful. My room (Do Knit Disturb) was a delight: quirky, comfortable, cosy and full of adorable knitted novelties designed by a local artist. The decor was fabulous: opulent and OTT in the very best way - I could have spent hours just pottering up and down the crazy, multi-directional stairs and taking photos of the various pictures and Pelirocco paraphernalia (and had I had longer there, I definitely would have done!). The location was brilliant for both the Brighton Centre (I was down for a convention) and allowing me to explore the town without having to wander too far afield (I was staying alone and I felt very safe to go out at night), there was car parking nearby and the bar was an absolute bonus: great vibe, great cocktails, great company (staff and guests alike) - I'd love to have been staying when they had one of their live music nights! A last nod to the nostalgia of the place in the form of a welcome Curly Wurly was much appreciated (and gives me reason to believe the breakfast was as good as it smelled).
There was nothing I didn't like, but if my room had had a mini fridge (not stocked - I'm not a princess!), a hook by the door to keep the key on and they'd had cards or prints by the artist for sale I would have been an even happier bunny.

The vibe was awesome, alternative and fun, the decor is wonderfully Brighton, and perfect for Rockers, Rollers, Disco dancers and sci-fi heads alike! The location is central yet close to the seafront with a green space directly opposite. The breakfast looked fabulous although I had an early start and didn’t eat before I checked out. I would definitely stay here again! An awesome place to stay in a group. Room service is available as an option.
Some pretty steep stairs towards the top of the building, so request a lower floor if this is an issue. However, the rooms Square have a great view! There isn’t much not to like about this fabulous gem of a hotel in the heart of Brighton.

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and with a big smile. The hotel was certainly a place I would stay again as the rooms were of different themes and would try another room for the experience. We stayed in the Koibito Love room and it was beutiful. Great to sit outside on the balcony drink a glass of wine and watch the world go by. The breakfast was spot-on, and locally sourced. We had the lovebird package added on and was a lovely welcoming touch to the stay.

Id really recommend the hotel pelirocco. Id just booked a room in brighton and i hadnt read anything about it and was so happily surprised on walking in. Like the decoration is unreal, but not overwhelming. The ambient bird noises on the second floor were my favurite. The room had tea and coffee and eveything you could need, including a fan (as i run hot i was delighted with this!). It made me immediately feel at ease walking in. Staff were lovely and so helpful.

Fantastic welcome from Marlon when we arrived. Staff were all lovely and nothing has been too much trouble at every step along the way - they made sure my partner's birthday cake was waiting in the room when we arrived and there were a couple of curly wurly bars with the tea and coffee items which was such a lovely touch. Room (Taboo) was decadent and plush with lots of saucy fun touches and seemed to be soundproofed which is great if you want to play a little or just lounge around chatting. So much to see on every wall and the hotel is extremely quirky and colourful. We wanted to have a little bimble around Brighton the next morning and the reception staff were more than happy to keep our bags safe for us while we wandered. Lady with the blue hair was brilliant and really sweet - so sorry that I didn't catch your name to mention it here. Little issue with the hot water in our room but it took nothing away from the fantastic stay and the staff resolved it swiftly. We were so enamoured with the aesthetics and service we are definitely popping back and have joined the loyalty programme. I totally want to try the boudoir room next time. :)
Not really a criticism as can't be helped but my partner is 6ft 4 and the ceiling in the bathroom, in places (the bath, which is raised on a platform), was more designed for humans 6ft or under so it was quite amusing to watch him giving it a try. Thankfully the bath is big enough for two so you may need to plan for a bath rather than a shower if you're a tall person. Cannot fault the rest of hotel, absolutely fabulous and definitely worth the money.

Staff was friendly and helpful, the decor was cool. I had a Muhammad Ali themed room which was pretty fun, someone clearly put a lot of thought into the interior design of the room. Its well located near the i360 and churchill square, bunch of pubs and international restaurants in Preston Street next to the hotel. It was at the time the cheapest 1 person acommodation that wasnt just a bunk bed with 10 others so Id say it was good value for money

The location to the water was fantastic and it was easy enough to walk everywhere. Our room was not ready even after the check in time but the staff was apologetic and offered me a free cocktail - I always appreciate good customer service! The room was clean and spacious and I love the themed decor.
There’s very little air flow in room 7 and the room got very hot. The only option was to use a VERY old tan which was very noisy even at its lowest level. My husband and I didn’t sleep very well because of that - honestly cannot imagine what it would be like at the height of summer!

A fun and quirky place to stay. The Tropical Paradise room was great while the rest of what we saw was equally zany! Friendly, helpful staff made the stay enjoyable and the New Year's Eve party was an unexpected bonus. Warm room and comfortable bed on a stormy weekend were most welcoming. Definitely recommend booking directly to have the breakfast included! Will be back to enjoy other rooms.
