Waterside location (tick), city centre location(tick), car park £13for 24 hrs (hotel rate) otherwise £26.95 for 24 hrs(tick tick). Room was a standard double (comfy bed, tea and coffee, WIFI, usb chargers. Breakfast was extra yummy with, continental cheeses and meats, fresh fruit, pancakes, jello; and of course delicious full english breakfast (the fried eggs were just right) and all the ingredients were hot.

ULEZ charge £9.00 for 24 hrs. Bar prices were a little high - £30 for a glass of Champagne and a decent French Sauvignon Blanc.

I would have given an overall excellent. The only negative was the fact that our room, which was lovely and had a great view, was opposite the bars and nightlife on the harbour side. The base stopped me from getting to sleep on Saturday night, although my husband slept right through it. I guess I’m a sensitive sleeper. The staff were very obliging the next morning and moved us to a quieter spot. Apart from this, the hotel is in a perfect location. It is spotlessly clean. Really good quality bedding and good pillows. Nice bar and restaurant with great service.

The only downside was the base noise coming from the bars on the harbour side which kept me awake.

Very comfortable bed Breakfast good - good selection of hot and cold foods, coeliac catered for - excellent gluten free pastries made on request Nice shower and bath available Excellent location Good size room Staff friendly and helpful

Air conditioning not great, worked but kept turning off and when restarted was very loud - however our family in the other rooms did not have the same issue with their air conditioning. Although gluten free breakfast was catered for, the process wasn’t made completely clear on arrival, which meant the rest of our party had finished their breakfast before mine came out. However this wouldn’t stop us staying here again, we would just ensure GF food ordered before the rest of the party collected their food. Drinks at the bar were a bit expensive especially the wine.

Really liked this hotel. The location was great! Super central and close to everything you need. The staff were very friendly. They gave us a bottle of wine and macarons for our anniversary which we greatly appreciated 😊

We didn’t bring a UK adaptor to charge our phones and the USB port in the room wasn’t working. When I called reception they said they didn’t have one we could borrow and that they could fix the USB port the following day but no one came to fix it. Still, we managed to buy the adaptor the following morning so not a problem. Just remember to bring your adaptor in case the hotel doesn’t have one!

It’s very central for bars and restaurants on the waterfront, and a short walk for shopping at Cabot Circus. It was perfect for our Hen party getaway. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and beds were extremely comfortable.

Of the 5 Rooms we booked, (standard double), 4 were quite small and hot, 1 room was bigger and had air-con which was lovely. In the other rooms there were fans available but we had to keep curtains closed and fans on all night to keep the rooms cooler. One lift was out of order during our stay. The lift only really holds 4 people, so there was a constant wait as the hotel was busy. There are no internal stairs in the hotel which I’ve never experienced before. You have to use the stairs for the adjacent car park to walk between floors. Fortunately we were on the first and second floors, but it was obviously a bit frustrating for guests on higher floors.

There were luxurious added touches everywhere in The Bristol Hotel. The aroma as we entered the reception and the beautiful furniture made the start of our stay a lovely experience. The room had added touches of a coffee machine and the most comfortable bed with feature big lamps and a velvet throw. Bathrobes and slippers meant there was everything we could ask for. The location in the heart of great bars and tourist spots was wonderful together with friendly staff. Choose this hotel , you won't be disappointed.

I could find nothing I didn't like about this hotel.

This is our third time of stopping at this hotel in the last 12 months. The Deco of the hotel is fabulous. Professionalism of the staff in particular the French lady in the restaurant. My husband and I would like to wish her all the very best in her up coming wedding. Also it was very welcoming to see black staff and people of colour working there. Britain is multicultural and when individuals stay within a prestige hotel it is very nice to see people that look like you working there. Thank you, it made my stay better. Reason being, sometimes when you go to other hotels and you're the only one of colour there it can be very uncomfortable at times. However this particular hotel has embraced cultural diversities. With a boatload of professionalism within their recruitment of staffing. Thank you

Nothing comes to mind

Our rooms were upgraded. The staff were very helpful to a member of party with mobility difficulties. Complimentary drink and chocoates to member of family who was celebrating a special event. Lovely position on the harbourside. Lots of venues and activities nearby. Good soundproofing of rooms. It is possible to open windows wich was good for temperature control. Great harbourside restaurant with view and live piano playing.

More storage of clothes would have been helpful. Some instructions for coffee machine, heating and that it was possible to open windows. Information in advance about car parking options. We had a high vehicle and due to height restrictions, parking was very problematic. Would have liked information about drop off options for member of party with mobility issues. But these are very small things in comparison with how good the hotel is and how helpful staff were

I would like to say that the staff were excellent. I live out in the country and found the noise from the street outside to be a little off putting when trying to sleep. I was in room 215 directly street facing and so I phoned down to the the customer services desk and was swiftly moved to an room on the opposite side of the building facing inwards. Breakfast was lovely and excellent wifi. Went for a course which was held on site and have to say the lunch was also excellent.

Noise from some rooms quite high (hotel is in middle of bristol city Centre). However as soon as I voiced any concerns I was offered the chance to move rooms. Excellent customer service.

A carpark adjacent to the hotel, paying for the parking in the hotel is much cheaper. The staff were so lovely and friendly. They upgraded our room as it was my partners 30th birthday and they also gave us a lovely bottle of prosecco in our room as a surprise for my partner. It was one of the hottest days of the year and the room had an aircon, the room was so lovely and cool for arrival. We had a fantastic stay here and we were so close to everything in Bristol. We will definitely be coming back again.
