The hotel itself was beautiful! The old style venue with a modern interior really brings the hotel to life. The rooms were outstanding, with a lot of space and had lovely views of the old style building from the windows making it look and feel as though you was in a little Italian town. The spa was perfect to help relax and revive before setting out to explore the town. The spa was placed in a great position in the hotel, being down in the vaults. It set off a very tranquil feel, that helped you to feel at ease.

There wasn’t much that we could see as an issue from the hotel. However, the room service menu had a minimal selection of items, this would also include the breakfast order for the room as the check list option only provided a list for both guests but didn’t state how much of the item was provided and didn’t give the option to request more if desired.

The location was waking distance within 1 minute to 15 minutes to all bars, cafes, restaurants & all the tourist attractions. Before you check out, make a short taxi ride to visit the ionic architectural clifton suspension bridge 🌉 & clifton Village for a nice dinner or lunch. There is a lovely cocktail bar with signature cocktails made - I enjoyed my espresso martini. Restaurant as well - I am sure their food is good as their cocktails. However, we didn't have breakfast there. Nice to see wellness spa at hotel, this is extra charge per person but worth it, please ensure to book ahead if like to use steam, sauna, jacuzzi or pool.

Loved everything about Bristol - definitely make a trip again, short journey under 2.30 hours from London.

My room was spacious with comfortable furniture and a comfortable bed. The shower and bathroom were excellent. Tea and coffee making facilities were perfect. Great heavy curtains to block out the light while sleeping.

The hydro-spa is very small and although it is shown as small I feel that the spa facilities are not a good enough standard to charge extra for. I was disappointed as I had to pay extra each time I wanted to use it. The hydro-pool for example has very, very weak bubbles and the pool is so small that two people swimming in it would be a squeeze.

I was very pleased to be upgraded upon check in. The room was spacious and had a lovely bath. The complimentary gin was a nice touch too. I had booked when booking.com still showed as providing free spa access, was told by auto email that was not the case. When I asked the team were happy to grant the free access. Brilliant customer service throughout the stay.

The spa area had a huge number of robes that no one was using which meant there were no hooks free to hang yours up when in there.

It was pretty much as expected. Last time i visited it was to request an overdraft. It used to be my bank (no - really).

Super room - but no coat hooks! A small but really annoying detail. The wall behind the door was screaming "Please, kind Sir - put a couple of hooks on me!! I beg of you...!!" - or something like that. I couldn't quite make it out as his English wasn't very good (he's just a wall, after all). I had to explain I was just a guest, but he didn't quite get it. I think he was plastered TBH. You know what they're like, those Bristol walls. Anyway - hooks. It's something you should look into.

Fantastic staff that were very helpful. Great spa onsite, small but perfectly formed. Spacious room with all the facilities I needed. Met all my expectations and I'd definitely consider staying again.

There was a £10 spa use charge for guests that booked via booking.com (none if you booked direct). This wasn't obvious during the booking process but I was texted about it once the booking was confirmed. I didn't mind paying, the spa was great, but it should have been more obvious during the booking process.

The staff were super friendly, Paula at reception really stood out to us and was so lovely and kind. We stayed in a Superior Double room and the room was amazing and we had such a comfy bed. We stayed for Christmas and on Christmas morning we had a small gift from the hotel which was a special touch. The Spa was very small and cute, the Hypo pool was amazing and I loved that there were couches available which you can use to relax on.

Our only reservations were that the pool in the spa was stone cold so we were unable to use it and the options for breakfast were very limited, for the price.

I had an amazing stay here this weekend for New Years. The building was gorgeous, the food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. The spa was quite small, but it had everything we wanted and it never got too busy at one time.

We stayed in a standard double room and I did notice a stain in the middle of the carpet, and the bathroom floor did have a few hairs on it when I arrived. That aside, the room was lovely and stylish and it was quite clean overall. It came with complimentary tea, coffee machine, and bathrobes. The bed was one of the comfiest beds I have ever stayed in!

The hotel is very smart and the location is excellent. Our room was spacious and bright. The hotel's restaurant looked nice, although we didn't get a chance to eat there as we were spoilt for choice! The swimming pool and spa facilities were lovely too. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The ensuite in our room was actually a wet room rather than a bathroom with a bath/shower in it. If given the option that's what we would've preferred.

Excellent location. Loved the architecture. Had a rough arrival but a great experience checking in, and was offered a bottle of wine on the house to lift us up. (Was definitely needed). Unfortunately we weren't there long enough to experience the spa and pool facilities. But if we're ever back here we will stay again and hopefully get around to that! Great bar! Tasty cocktails and very friendly staff.

Lift wasn't working and we had heavy luggage we had to hike up stairs. Air con not really up to much, and wasn't clean, very dusty! Wasn't able to drive straight to the door to drop luggage off, had a bit of a walk from the car park.
