• very noisy - could hear everyone walking up the stairs and closing doors. Was also very busy in the bar and restaurant that we could hear the hustle all night, and when people were stood outside talking and screaming after a few drinks, it was extremely noisy long into the night. There needs to be more consideration for paying hotel guests in terms of late night noise from the bar/restaurant.

the rooms were modern and comfortable. we were there when it was extra hot weather so the Dyson cold air fan was the saviour of the nights. the front of house staff were lovely and so was housekeeping. no complaints there.

the restaurant Shutters and bar is attached to the hotel but is run separately. Breakfast staff were nice but the food was not thing special but the bar was busy and you had to wait in a line even when you had reserved a table for dinner. Very disorganised. food was overpriced. got a sharing starter of antipasti £16.95 and it came with one slice of toasted bread!!! the word sharing plate indicates more than one person. disappointing and overpriced for the low quality of food offered.

Room was great. We were very kindly upgraded and had a sea view and balcony! Great big bathroom was really nice and well appointed. The bar was busy on Saturday night but we got seated before dinner for a couple of drinks. Breakfast was great. Parking was tricky but the helpful receptionist managed to bag us a spot at the last minute. Super helpful as these spaces are like gold dust. We came to swim in the Bude Sea Pool, which was a short walk from the hotel. And it didn't disappoint.

The price. Way too expensive for the quality of hotel. Really happy with everything else.

Fantastic location and very friendly staff. The Elements restaurant sharing the hotel was excellent. The room and ensuite bathroom were both large and spacious with comfortable furnishings. Lovely view. Breakfast offered by the hotel was good quality with pleasant friendly staff to start the day.

There was nothing much to dislike but if forced to mention anything, the draft from the bathroom window, as our stay coincided with very windy weather so this was noticeable and the bathroom was a bit chilly. The tiling on the bathroom floor was damaged due to movement causing cracking. Didn't spoil our break though.

The room was very comfortable, with lovely sea views, and a spacious bathroom. The jug of fresh milk in the mini-bar fridge every day was a nice touch. All the food – dinner, bar snacks and breakfast – was excellent, but the breakfast was spectacular. So many choices and all delivered with friendly, cheerful service. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful.

A firmer mattress would have been welcome, and a little more wardrobe space. The premium we paid for a sea view was rather expensive.

having to book a breakfast slot being rushed for tea coffee slection even before you sitdown so no chance to see other coffee options before you order ( no option to selcet breakfast other than what on menu ( i.e staff bring you everything no buffet ) this is a deal breaker in my option and others ) as the whole breakfast fills rushed ( i.e you you do not order your cooked breakfast we have another 14 people arriving . apart from this what we did get was very well presented and good

The breakfast was delicious. Lots of choice and beautifully cooked and served. Staff on reception and in the restaurant were all friendly and cheerful and helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable as were the chairs in the room. There was a pleasant bar to sit in with a variety of comfortable seating.

It was a shame we could only see a wall outside our window. This made the room rather dark. There were noisy guests upstairs and some loud thumping on floor.

I rarely write reviews but I had to say our stay was made exceptional by the friendliest staff especially Jayne on reception who was so delightful and engaging with my little girl. Also the gentleman at breakfast who couldn't do enough for us. Lovely hotel but these staff really made it for us with their big smiles and chat. Thank you everyone for being so welcoming.

If I had to mention anything at all (it was all pretty perfect to be honest) Id say the front entrance could have done with a lick of paint and general tidy up

Loved the stylish decor in the hotel. Our room was airy and spotlessly clean and the sea-themed collection of books was a great touch. The bathroom was immaculate and enjoyable to be in. The location, so close to the wonderful beach was great. The best thing was the staff - courteous and attentive, especially in the restaurant. We were even provided with a mushroom for the steak when we requested one!

The food in the restaurant was a little over-priced. Parking at or outside the hotel is at a premium but we managed and you coulf always drop off and then park at the beach car-park

Great position for enjoying the beach and coastal walks. The hotel was very comfortable, clean and the staff were friendly. There was a good atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. Breakfasts were good as was the food in Elements. All staff were efficient with good levels of service. Made the most of the Winter sun on the sun terrace which was lovely with a pint of cider! We were upgraded and our room was modern, extremely comfortable and well equipped. To summarise the hotel was high quality with a relaxed informal atmosphere.
