Beautiful house in a fantastic location. A very warm and friendly welcome from Wol( Woldymyr) who we saw every time we left/ arrived back at the house and for breakfast each morning. Very spacious well equipped room and extremely comfy four-poster bed. Liked the addition of complimentary fruit and numerous bottles of still/sparkling water. Breakfast is AWESOME! All vegetarian with vegan options. And what options!! Freshly cooked to perfection Portions are huge- Wol does warn you at check-in- ignore him at your peril. We both dialled back the options on day 2 breakfast. Will definitely be returning!!

That I didn’t live there- lol

The breakfast menu is incredible and the breakfast itself was one of the best I have ever experienced in a hotel .We had fresh almond croissants with strawberry's, fruit smoothie ,full English (vegetarian ) but the veg sausage was very tasty ,a selection of fresh fruit ,unlimited tea and coffee .A breakfast sitting set us up for the whole day .The front of house chap(i cant remember his name ) could not of been more friendly and helpful .There is nothing bad I can say about this hotel ,we had 2 rooms and both us and our friends enjoyed our stay immensely .

having to have a normal breakfast the morning after stopping there

Breakfast was outstanding. A very comprehensive menu choice and everything prepared and cooked to perfection. Location was very good, and very convenient for walking into the Pavilion Gardens. Vol, the host, was very attentive and made us feel very welcome

We were surprised to find that it was not the policy to clean the rooms each day, nor even to change towels and make up the beds. When I enquired, I was told that this was available on request, but despite the comprehensive briefing when we checked in, this wasn't mentioned. It wasn't a big problem, but it was a surprise.

Breakfast was fantastic. I was unsure at first as only vegetarian breakfast was offered. However, everything was great quality, cooked fresh and portion sizes were very good. 'Wol' who checked us in and looked after us, was great, gave detailed information about the hotel and surrounding area. The hotel was in a nice quiet area, but close to shops, opera house and pavilion, so great location.

We were given an early check in (3:30pm instead of the standard 5pm) however I think this is far too late. I would normally expect to check in around lunchtime. Other hotels we have stayed at in the area offer standard check in at 2pm, but earlier if requested.

Beautiful family run hotel. The host was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They went above and beyond on the small touches such as supplies in your room, and the room itself was sheer indulgence and comfort. The breakfast selection was vast and the hot breakfast beautifully cooked with the best, fresh products, and be warned, the portions are large and will set you up for the day. Great location with all local facilities like pubs and restaurants and town centre within a 15 minute stroll. Will definitely book again.

Absolutely nothing to dislike about this lovel hotel.

I cannot recommend this accommodation enough. It exceeded our expectations. The location was fantastic, short walk into Buxton where we went shopping, had a meal, watched a performance in the Opera House. No need to drive anywhere. The hosts were super friendly and informative, nothing was too much trouble. They went above and beyond to make the stay top notch. The bed was super comfortable, didn't wake once. The facilities in the room were excellent. Nice to have a tea and biscuit before bed. The breakfast was out of this world. It felt like a bottomless breakfast, the portions were very big and the quality was again, superb. We cannot wait to go back.

There is nothing that we did not like.

For breakfast there was a fantastic selection to choose from. Too much to list here, but there was different types of bread, a selection of fruits, yoghurt, muesli, porridge, to a full cooked breakfast. Which to be honest was awesome. I don't think I've had a better breakfast in a hotel, ever. There was so much choice. We stopped in room 4 which is decorated tastefully, and has an extremely comfortable 4 poster bed. Also there was enough space for all our motorbike clothing and luggage. Another plus was the fruit, tea, coffee and snacks plus, a mini fridge with still & fizzy Buxton water. The owner was also fantastic, making you feel very welcome. From giving you all the info about the breakfasts, and your room etc, to which local pubs and restaurants to visit. We really couldn't fault the place.

Nothing, it was all good.

WOW!!! - DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK - The attention to detail is above and beyond and the thought put into the customer experience is excellent. We were greeted at check in by the owner Wol, who looked very smart, well presented and courteous - this set the tone for the rest of our stay. Our lovely room was spacious, clean, well furnished with refreshments included (a choice of bottled water, fruit, tea, coffee and biscuits.) The room was quiet, the bed comfy and we slept very well. There's even a piano that you are welcome to play in the period drawing room and chess games set up for you to enjoy. The choice at breakfast was excellent, served by Wol and beautifully cooked by his wife. The portions were huge, with very smart table settings. Little things but they do make a difference. We would not hesitate to stay here again, thank you.

This was a vegetarian place, which we did not notice when we booked, but the choice of food at breakfast was excellent, cooked freshly to order and with very generous portions. Location was good, off street parking and a short walk into town for restaurants etc. Our room was very large with a 4 poster bed, very well equipped with lots of power sockets, hair dryer with power point near a mirror, which is by no means always the case even in expensive hotels, supplies such as sewing and dental kits, a small fridge, nice bathroom with very good quality towels.

Nothing unless you must have bacon for breakfast! There were vegetarian sausages, and my husband said they were delicious
