Loved the Spa facilities and the bedroom

Saturday night dinner service in the restaurant. Service was appalling. We were sitting for 40 minutes without a drink. Despite asking 4 times for apperitifs to be served, we received and ate starters without even receiving the bottle of water we were promised when we were originally seated. A table of 8 arrived at the same time as us followed by at least another 3 tables of 2. We were especially surprised to see all bookings had been made for 19.30, as my husband had initially requested the table for 20.00 and was told nothing was available later than 19.30. We will use the hotel and spa facilities again but not your restaurant, sadly.

Beautiful building and location. We stayed in an attic room which was well appointed with a comfy bed, great waterfall shower and a mini fridge. Hotel guests can use the spa and it's an amazing one. The mineral water pools are fabulous as are the thermal facilities. We loved it. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We would love to return! That rooftop pool, wow!

It's slightly confusing what areas of the spa you are allowed in. I found out in the end it's everything except the mineral baths, the salt room and mud rooms. Better signage or an explanation that these are extra would be handy as a lot of people were walking about trying the doors and looking confused. The breakfast was the only slight letdown. Good selection and lovely continental buffet but the cooked breakfast was a very small portion(would be nice to have 2 eggs!) and the coffee was incredibly weak and watery tasting. It was all still lovely but would have been a perfect stay if breakfast were slightly improved.

Good breakfast, I had the eggs Benedict and they were great. Wife had the vegan breakfast and said it wasn't great but the continental had a good selection. Space facilities were nice, good room and good location for anything and everything in Buxton.

Navigating the hotel was a little confusing. Staff were helpful but more signs would be helpful. Getting to the hotel via car and finding parking was also confusing as there's no real direction, we had to wing it.

The spa facilities were great although signposting within it wasn't very clear. The room was spacious and comfortable. The dinner was excellent and the waiting staff were friendly and helpful. Really impressed that there were gluten free biscuits in the room as well as decaffeinated tea and coffee.

The breakfast arrangement could have been clearer, no-one at the desk when we arrived made us think we could just sit down. The other disappointment at breakfast was lack of gluten free sausage! We understand black pudding can't be sourced gluten free but good quality gluten free sausages are available easily and aren't even expensive, a full English without sausage isn't a full English.... My husband is coeliac so he has no choice.

Spa facilities although for some reason I thought they were an extra and almost didn't bother.

No parking!!! How can you it be a 5* hotel with guests having to park on the street some blocks away in a town where it is invariably raining? Please make it clearer on the booking that there is No hotel parking and the Valet parking service is an extra. The hotel entrance is also not obvious so the visit got off to a really bad start by the time I had found my way to reception. Timed breakfasts are OK for business travellers - but leisure travellers don't need the deadline. Full English looked good but the Sausages and Black Pudding where mediocre.

Spa facilities were fab. Everything you could hope for from a spa and its great that the use is included in the price of the room without having to pay more. Breakfast service was good although staff could be a little more attentive as its a mixture of table and buffet service. The room was beautiful with lovely original features and good facilities.

Parking is a slight issue as the hotel does not have any and all on street is limited for time. There is only 1 long stay car park in the area but this is closed on market days. We used the train station parking which is a short walk away

Stunning hotel with wonderful history restored to its former glory. Spa facilities were lovely and not overcrowded. Loved having rooftop pool to myself sometimes! Gorgeous attic room with lovely bath. Quiet. Food was delicious. Ate so much at breakfast no lunch needed! The spa is a maze but helpful staff around. Valet parking was actually good value as used day 2 on extended spa and a bit longer when exploring museum and town for a couple of hours. Perfect location. I'll be back!🙂

Check your booking time for treatments. I luckily went down an hour before to check where I needed to be at spa reception and nearly missed my treatment! Had a "preferred time" but only hot treatment confirmed not the time.

Beautiful and historic setting. Fabulous job of restoring the building to it former glory. We had an amazing view of the crescent. Spa had lots of choice just a shame outside lounging space was limited on such a sunny weekend. Lovely spacious room with very comfortable bed. Superb shower. Fantastic choices for breakfast. Valet parking was also worth every penny when arriving mid day on a sunny weekend. Management team left a lovely surprise bottle of champagne for my special occasion, thank you, what a treat. The Esana Crescent Hotel staff certainly go go the extra mile and have made my special weekend so memorable, thank you.

Absolutely nothing!

The Hotel and Rooms are great, food was excellent. Location was ideal for trips out to Chatsworth and Hardwick. The local water is available free 24/7. The Gym and Spa facilities are extensive and good quality.

A couple of times the staff at Breakfast found it difficult to cope with the number of guests when the room was full. Some cutlery and napkins were not clean, at both breakfast and in the bar. Young staff need a little more training to check these things first.

The room is very spacious and has AC! The price included everything like access to their spa and of course great breakfast!. The staffs are wonderful and the price is reasonable. The location and drive to it is breathtaking. Parking is free. I like it all!

Nothing. I think the architectural style of the building made it have elevator couple of rooms away from the reception area. Had to walk down a little to use the elevator because I have many bags. I could have used the stairs which is next to the reception.
