Nice decor, nice bar area and breakfast . Rooms were clean tidy and comfortable. I was pleased to have a room upgrade for my birthday. Which was a lovely touch. Thank you.
Just the lift was only one working and it was slow. Due to service staff having to use that too.

Location is great and the staff are helpful and well informed. We had room 406 which was at the end of the corridor so nice and quiet. There is a door in this room so I presume it can be converted into a family room/apartment. . This door however enabled us to hear next doors conversations. I hope that didn't hear ours 🤭 Breakfast is wonderful, the sausages are lovely and a reasonable price too at £8.50.
We found that the pillows were too hard and personally would prefer a softer mattress. Would absolutely love to stay here every year but next year's prices are 300% increase which is outrageous. These inflated prices (in all cardiff hotels) are potentially going to out price visitors which is very sad.

The reception staff were fantastic and welcomed me back each evening with a smile and a hello. The room was clean, the bed and telly were huge, there was a kettle and tea bags. It was really well located for most things in Cardiff city centre.
My room was at the back of the hotel and was noisy during the night with deliveries for the shopping centre next door. The pillows were flat and hard and the decor of the room was a little tired. I also couldn't get my laptop to link up to the smart TV - not a big deal and I could have asked reception to help if I'd been desperate.

Excellent property centrally located and impressive reception area and efficient check in.The bedroom was spacious and comfortable with a very comfortable bed and a reclining chair and I was very impressed by the high standard of the room
I chose to dine in the restaurant and found the menu to be very limited with only main courses on offer and I chose a steak which was well cooked and presented. However I requested to have peppercorn sauce and was told that their were no sauces on the menu but when pressed I was offered brown sauce. For a restaurant to offer only a limited menu was I feel unacceptable and should have advertised Bar Snacks Only.I also had the breakfast which had a large selection of options hot and cold but my only dislike was the bacon which was high quality but was cooked so that it was hard and difficult to eat.

The location of the hotel was excellent, well within walking distance of the center and the rail station. The hotel was clean and tidy with a bar and restaurant (though we did not eat at the hotel). We had gone to Cardiff to catch a show at the Utilita Center which was just acropss the roadd from the hotel so it was an ideal location. There were plenty of power outlets, including USB ports. Coffee/Tea facilities in the room and complementary water for day 1 of our stay. The Wi-Fi worked well in our room and public areas of the hotel.
Water, coffee, drinking chocolate + biscuits were not replenished. I would expect a top-up each day. The room temperature was difficult to manage. The electric heater was great as a top-up but did not appear to have a thermostat. Good quality bath towels, but no hand or hair towels. The shower was poor quality and with low water pressure. The lifts were a little temperamental and very slow. Net curtain was tattered and should be removed/replaced. Street sounds were obtrusive even though we were on a high floor, suggesting that the double glazing was not effective in cutting out noise. Curtains appeared to be very good and cut-out light from outside.

Breakfast was excellent. Room clean, although at times there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom drains when we went back in after going out. Room a bit tired and need of decoration but comfy beds, and when we got back from the concert the double had been sorted by housekeeping into twin beds. I think I stayed there a few years ago and the room further up was more spacious if I remember rightly. However, the hotel was more or less full due to the big concert across the road and understandable that they were needing to use all rooms, and do a lot of alterations to beds as there were a lot of women sharing with friends and needing twin rooms. Foyer and dining room decorated lovely for Christmas.
The tired room in need of a refurb in some areas, and the drainage smell in the bathroom.

If you're coming to a show at Cardiff Arena, it's literally across the street, which is a massive tick in its favour - as it indeed was for me as I was seeing (and meeting!) JLS there on their current tour. But aside from that, it's also a good base in the city as it's in the centre, so it's next door to St David's Centre, and a short walk from the Old Truman Brewery Quarter. Nice decor inside and throughout, comfortable and stylish. My room was excellent, good facilities, nice comfy bed, spacious. This will definitely be my first choice for a Cardiff Arena show next time!
No complaints - perfect!

Perfect location for what I needed in the city centre. Parking under the hotel so ideal if you drive there. The car park is small and tight so be warned if you aren't a confident Parker.
Shower water took an age to drain away and left a brown ring around bath which makes me think the water may be coming out brown. Not the hotels fault but there is a silly road lay out on the way to the hotel. It took me half an hour to more 3 car lengths. In the end I pulled out of the traffic and drove a 2 mile route to come in to the hotel from the opposite direction.

Lovely hotel, nice and clean with super friendly staff. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was beautifully made and very filling. Breakfast was also lovely with a wide range of available food and drinks.
We booked a family room. I had questions to check that we would have a double & 2 single bed, which was confirmed but upon arrival there was a double and 1 single. My husband spoke to reception who offered to bring up a fold up bed but there wasn't room for one, we ended up having our teenage son in our bed with an extra duvet which obviously isn't ideal, although the staff were very apologetic and accomodating

The hotel was easy to find, just 10 minutes walking time from the railway station. It was close to the shops arena and cinema. First impression on entering was very good. The lobby is very spacious and modern with a bar and restaurant next to a seating area. The receptionists were friendly and helpful...nothing was too much trouble. The room was a good sized double and was cleaned every day. There were tea and coffee and kettle also iron and hair dryer. On the day we checked out we were able to leave our luggage for a few hours rather than carrying it around all day.
Unfortunately due to the location it was very noisy outside most of the night and the windows did not keep out the noise. One lift was broken so when the cleaners were using the remaining one it was not easy to access this but I understand this is a temporary issue.
