The staff are very accommodating and welcoming when I ask them if we can move to another room due to some problem with the rooms we were in. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a decent size of pool, jacuzzi, steam, and sauna room that can accommodate a lot of people. The buffet breakfast is good as well. The sausages and bacon aren't that salty.

We were staying on one of the rooms on the 7th floor, and we had to move to another room on the 8th floor because the tv remote was not working, and the same with the cooler. The room they gave us isn't good either. The AC isn't working, and we get the itch from the bed, and we slept on it, thinking maybe it will be ok the next day, but nothing change and got spots on our back from the bed so I had to ask again if they can give us a better room.

The hotel was located in a great position for Cardiff University. Lots of restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk, however, the bar and restaurant onsite was very nice and not overly priced. Helpful and attentive staff in the restaurant. Bed was very comfortable and good size room. Car park underneath the hotel was useful.

There had clearly been a water leak in the room or adjacent rooms which meant the flooring in the bathroom was raised and a musty smell throughout the room and hallway which was somewhat off-putting. The air conditioning didn't work so all I had was a fan to 'cool' the room.

Good choice of food on offer for breakfast. The pool area was nice and clean. Friendly and helpful staff

At breakfast when a table became vacant and was being reset, the staff member left what he thought was unused cutlery and used it for the next people. My daughter went back to the room and I stayed a bit longer in the restaurant and whilst I was at at the table he took her u used spoon from the table and place it on another table during set up. I feel fresh, clean cutlery needs to be used without fail to set a table for the next person. We booked a twin and we’re allocated a double but house keeping did arrive about 7pm to make up 2 beds. Tried to use the phone to call reception but just kept getting the dialling tone.

Nice size rooms, friendly staff fantastic breakfast.

We had a poor evening meal. Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived to sit down after booking. Not everything on the menu was available. We ordered a super food salad it was lettuce and seeds as they had run out of avocado etc. the sirloin steak was so thin asked for medium to rare it came well done. The chicken in the burger was so overcooked it was dry and couldn’t be cut. The other 3 meals were fine fish and chips, beef brisket, veg curry. We did not complain as staff were very busy and we did not want to create a scene and spoil the evening for other diners. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent.

Everything went well Rooms are large, the location is excellent and the staff is very welcoming and effective. I have appreciated to have a nice written message from the housekeeping team.

I had a booking of a suite and was located first on the 15th floor : problem is that the elevators' motor make noise and in additions there are sometimes very loud clicks from those very same elevators. For those who are light sleepers it is impossible to sleep on the 15th floor. Fortunately, the reception team was able to change my room in the middle of the first night. In addition, out of 4 elevators, only one really worked and caused sometimes long waits

Our room was fantastic. It was clean, spacious and well-presented. We enjoyed our welcome treat - the presentation was amazing. We had both bath and shower facilites. When we dined at the restaurant, we enjoyed our meal. The gym, spa, sauna and hot tub facilities were good. One thing that really stood out for us was the decor in the restaurant, lobby and lounge areas - it was amazing.

There weren't many. One thing we think could be better was the water pressure in the shower - it wasn't powerful enough. We also noticed that there was a good sized stain/mark on the carpet at the end of our bed.

Use of the spa pool. Comfortable room, possibly a bit tired decor wise, more light in the bathroom/dressing area required for my wife to dry her hair and do her makeup. Breakfast fabulous, my daughter and her partner joined us for breakfast. Everything required was present. Good.

More light required in the dressing area for my wife. Thank you for room service, perfunctory. Perhaps expensive or under sized portion. (You can’t have both, one would justify the other if it were cheaper, or if there were bigger portions of chips at the higher price).

All staff were very helpful and polite. Pool facilities were very good.

There was only 1 working lift for 2 days due to maintenance. I realise lifts must be maintained but a Bank Holiday weekend was a busy time to do it. We were told stairs could be used but not suitable as I have a disability and mobility issue. Booking was room only but we had breakfast one morning. Prior to arrival one email stated £10 and one stayed £15. Receptionist at check-in co firmed £15, but in morning we were told £16.95. The difference us not really the issue, but 3 different amounts is confusing. The venue was very good.

excellent condition, clean, central location

Really poor experience with the reception team culminating with the gentleman I was talking too walking off whilst I was mid conversation and ignoring me. The hotel attempted to not honour the price Booking.com quoted for breakfast (£10) stating that the hotels price was £15 and Booking.com haven’t amended it their end. I explained that this was not the customers problem and indeed a breach that trading standards should look at. how many customers have been charged at the higher rate I wonder? At breakfast the following morning I was advised that I had only paid for two breakfasts and not for the 4 in my group which was embarrassing. Reception then tried to charge me again and when I queried what I had paid on arrival they stated it was for ‘parking’. I didn’t park at the hotel!!

The whole hotel inside was really nice, the decor was classy, I really liked the free nibbles and drinks in the reception area. That was a small but really nice touch. The room was very clean, and tidy, and was well presented. It was large and had nice views, I really liked the corner area where the desk was. The bath and shower were really well equipped. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful. We wanted some tips on where to eat as we hadn't been to cardiff before and the reception lady was very informative and helpful giving us good directions to the food place where we had some nice Tapas.

The parking was a problem. The hotel does have parking underground but there are limited spaces. There were a few free but had 'no parking' signs erected. In the end we had to pay for the car park next door and I had to extend my stay with the parking which in the end cost me around £30 for 1 night. That is quite a lot.
