The staff was incredible. They were nice and very helpful. We had to cancel our last night due to the train strick and leave a day earlier to our next destination. They were very understanding and our third night was reimbursed. We had dinner in their restaurant and the food was great. The service was just as great .The entire stay was a pleasure. We loved the town of Conwy !!
The only difficulty we had was that there was no elevator. A young man did get our luggage up to the room .It is an older hotel so this is one of the things that can happen. There is nothing else I can think of that was a problem.

Beautiful old building well looked after. All staff were wonderful; friendly and helpful. We were well looked after, even the dog. It is the best dog friendly hotel we have ever stayed in. A cute little bed and bowl with a dog biscuit greeted our dog in the room, and a lovely lady offered her her own sausage at breakfast.
Our room was right by the stairs which were a bit creaky and so disturbed our dog when anybody went by. That says more about our dog than the hotel but something to bear in mind if you have a reactive dog. It was quite warm in the room so we had the window open and were disturbed by the noisy seagulls and the tolls of the nearby church clock all night. Again, nothing against the hotel.

Lovely hotel right in the middle of Conwy. Great history with car park at the rear and in front of the hotel. Very friendly staff especially at reception. Our room was brilliant. So spacious and decorated to the highest standard. Bathroom was very modern and clean. All very tasteful. Evening meal was good. Breakfast was nicely cooked. We have stayed before and will again.
Outside seating space at rear of hotel is a bit run down with bad smells. Slow service at breakfast but it was busy. Evening meal was fairly good but we had mussels and they were tiny and undersized. They were local but difficult to remove from their shells due to their size. Unfortunately this is now quite common with other restaurants. I would rather pay a bit more and have normal sized mussels. Rear access to car park is very tight but if you have a large car you can park in front of the hotel.

Everything was lovely. Friendly staff, comfortable room and great food. The little touches were great. The fan had been left on in my room which was very much appreciated on a hot day and the provision of organic toiletries in large bottles , rather than the wasteful mini ones, is an excellent idea . The bedding was quality. Plump feather pillows and duvet made such a wonderful change from the usual flat lumpy hotel offerings. The bed was extremely comfortable and my room was very quiet. Owain, the ' Do not disturb' dragon deserves a special shout out. It took every ounce of willpower not to bring him home with me ! The bathroom had a huge shower and plenty of hot water. Everything was spotlessly clean. I had dinner in the restaurant which ended with the best bread and butter pudding I have ever had. A shout out to the young man who was working on Thursday night ( sorry but I didn't catch your name) . He was efficient, friendly and a pleasure to speak to. I cannot understand some reviewers complaints about breakfast. The food was freshly cooked and of excellent quality. Continental options were plentiful and when something ran out, it was promptly refilled. The building itself is fascinating and the booklet detailing its history is well worth a read. I spent a happy half hour wandering the corridors looking at the art and furniture. I really cannot fault the hotel and will definitely be back.
Nothing. It was all fabulous

Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent breakfast with an excellent choice. Dinner was presented superbly with a good menu. Our room was excellent and had a great view
At both breakfast and dinner many items ran out. This was so disappointing at dinner when having decided on our choice from the comprehensive menu to be advised we have none of your choice left. Entrance to the main car park is horrendous if you have a larger car as I found out with resultant damage to my car.

Location, style of the hotel friendly staff. Waitress on duty in the evening restaurant was outstanding. Very friendly and worked very hard to accommodate everyone
Breakfast kitchen a bit disorganised on the 2nd day of our stay. Wrong breakfasts sent out. Poached eggs badly cooked and my husbands full Welsh breakfast not what he ordered. Room cleaning left a lot to be desired. Fly left on tea tray all the time we were there. Bath mat left in the bath throughout our stay so not sure if bath was cleaned.

The staff were all very friendly and wecoming, especially Carole at reception and one of the waiters who was working his first day when we arrived. The hotel was full of character and thefood was very good (especially the chorizo and red lentil soup!!!). The location was perfect, especially for our friends who have some mobility issues
Unfortunately we were woken very early (4/5 am) both mornings by noise from outside which sounded like bottle banks being emptied all the way down the road. I appreciate this was probably out of the control of the hotel management.

The room was large and beautifully furnished, the bed was extremely large, comfortable and the bedding quality was excellent. There was an excellent selection of hot drinks, including a coffee machine and biscuits. Breakfast was great with a nice choice of hot food. The location was perfect, right in the centre of Conway and there was an added bonus of car parking at the rear of the hotel. We had a lovely stay and will definitely return.
Only a small point but a couple of times we had to look around the hotel to find a staff member to book breakfast or to ask a question.

I must say that this is one of the best hotels in which I have ever stayed and felt comfortable. We received a wonderful room on the first floor, with a direct view to the Castle of Conwy. The camera was quite large, spacious, with a comfortable double bed, decorated quite chic, in English style. The old radio modified into a very digital modern tool has been quite an asset. We loved the furniture, the lights and the bath that was extremely clean and fully uploaded with many cosmetics provided by partners of the Castle Hotel. The breakfast is amazing, you can select multiple options from a particular list, and we must say that the Full Welsh Breakfast and the selection of Eggs were on top of our preferences. Good coffee for two committed people with cofeine, but mostly a very pretty salon, with a fireplace, where during evenings we used to dine and have a drink. Good selection of beers, tasty fish and chips! The hotel is dog friendly, so we had many fluffy little ones to play with from neighbors. The hotel has some nice pubs and restaurants around and is situated in the heart of Conwy. We went right after Christmas and the decorations were lovely. To put all briefly, is a very pretty hotel, with good taste, great food, lovely view and an accurate English spirit. Conwy is very intimate, historical, kind, even during winters, and the staff of the hotel is very implicated, receptive, and professional. So, if you go in North Wales add Conwy Castle Hotel on your list!
Nothing bad to say. The only thing that you should take care of is that you have to book a table for breakfast at the reception and to announce at what time you would like to eat in the morning, in order to avoid overlapping. But this is not something bad, it is a sign a very good organizing.

Excellent room, comfortable bed, excellent sleep. Brilliant housekeeping staff. Overall a great stay in one of our favourite locations in North Wales
Breakfast and dinner a little disorganised, though the food was delicious . Apppeared to be sufficient numbers of staff but no one coordinating which meant being asked several times if someone had taken our order.
