Tranquil setting with only a small number of guest bedrooms. Lovely clean air with distant views of the sea. Managed to park very close to the house. Excellent Wi-Fi. John and Wendy were first class hosts, warm, friendly and efficient. Choice of breakfast, excellently cooked, and impeccably served in our own, spacious and comfortable downstairs sitting room. Upstairs en-suite bedroom is well furnished with good sea views. Shower room is spacious and ultra-modern, with a powerful, walk-in, two-level shower.

Spiral staircase took a while to get used to. No water supply in the downstairs lounge. No mobile coverage (but good Wi-Fi). Parking close to the accommodation is limited to one space.

Fantastic views across the bay , great breakfast and very friendly / helpful hosts. John's guidance and useful tips for places to visit and eat were very handy for our 5 night stay. Quiet location and the views from the top of the hill across the whole of the surrounding area just a short walk up from the property were amazing. Very short drive to Llandudno and convenient for the rest of North Wales main attractions. eg Snowdonia, Anglesey, Conway. Llandudno etc

A short drive to nearest restaurants / pubs etc. Could possibly walk but the hill coming back would need fitter people than us !

We were in the beautiful spiral staircase suite comprising of ground level lounge and first floor double bedroom and bathroom, accessed by the metal spiral staircase. With comfy sofas and classic interior design the feel was luxurious, clean and spacious. The bathroom was large and the shower was amazing! It was obvious that the owners did not scrimp on decor and furnishings, it was like staying in someone’s luxury home, they clearly cared a lot about the establishment and it was obvious even in the choice of pillows and quilt which was the best we had ever had and we have stayed in some lovely and expensive places worldwide. We had breakfast delivered each morning at a time of our choice, it was delicious especially the sausage and the orange juice.

Perched as it is high on a steep hill you would need a good clutch in first gear. But, the view is worth it!

This is a return visit. Wendy and John are exceptional hosts. The breakfast was excellent and plenty of it. They are very knowledgable on the local area, giving lots of suggestions on how to use your time wisely and the best places to eat. There is a lovely sea and mountain view form the lounge and bedroom window, and having your own lounge to eat and relax in is a real positive. The view point walk is a real must. There is plenty to do in and around Llandudno, and it is a great base to explore North Wales. We will be staying at Bryn Goleu again!

Our hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful with great recommendations of what to do and see in the area. The room and shower room were comfortably made up, with a little sitting area outside. My husband‘s cooked breakfasts were very tasty. I didn‘t have cooked but cereal choice was fine and the fresh fruit most enjoyable. It was so lovely to have a lift out and back on the first night to our eating place as we were both so very tired on arrival. Above and beyond that was! It was a great base for visiting Bodnant Garden - spectacular.

Because of the size of the room there was very little laying down space so the floor became the best place to put everything! No complaints really. The first trip up the road was challenging but soon got used to the twists and turns and SatNav was a great help getting around.

Absolutely everything. John and Wendy were lovely hosts who made sure we felt welcome from the moment they met us. The whole property is spotlessly clean and our garden facing room was beautiful with the added benefit of a private balcony. Breakfast was fresh and tasty having being cooked using local produce. We needed storage for our bikes overnight and John was quick to offer us the use of his lockable storage for the weekend.

There was nothing we didn't like. The property is high up a hill; the clue is in the name Bryn however, it's worth the drive up. If you're a strong walker, it's worth the walk up the hill too and next to the property is a footpath leading to one of the best views you'll ever see of Wales.

I needed some peace and tranquillity at a difficult time and Bryn Goleu was able to give me that. It was decorated in pastel colours which were calming. Wendy and John were very welcoming and kind and compassionate. They gave us some excellent tips about where to visit and places to eat. The breakfast was excellent and kept us going all day until dinner time. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the view from the 'thinking spot' is spectacular. There are lots of interesting places to visit which are nearby.

Wendy and John were so welcoming, they made us feel like family, they really couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in the Spiral Suite for 2nts. It was 1 of the cosiest places we have stayed., spread over 2 floors on the ground floor you had a open fireplace, 2 x 2 seater sofas, a dining area, Central heating, tv with every channel possible.. Upstairs there is a beautiful sleigh style bed, very comfortable, a little dressing room area and a lovely bathroom with walk in rain shower., not forgetting the amazing views of the Mountain side and sea. Breakfast was absolutely amazing and was served direct to your apartment. Nothing was too much trouble, plenty of valuable recommendations on where to eat, places to visit and walks to go on (definitely walk up to 'The Thinking view') you will be amazed. We were sad to leave and would highly recommend anyone to stay at the very Beautiful Bryn Goleu. Never change Wendy and John you were the perfect hosts..😊 Thank you, Claire & Dave x

Nothing, everything you needed was in the apartment

The accommodation has stunning views to the sea and was extremely comfortable. Our spiral staircase suite (lounge on the ground floor, bedroom and bathroom above), was decorated to a very high standard and beautifully appointed. Our hosts, John and Wendy, could not have been more welcoming and were keen to share recommendations of local restaurants and beautiful places to visit. We particularly liked Newborough beach on Anglesey - such fine golden sand set in a very wide bay with startlingly clear seawater.

Breakfast was very nice, John and Wendy were both very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The Balcony was lovely to sit out on in the morning Sun. The room was very nice and comfortable. Location was ideal just set back from the town so lovely and quiet but still able to easily travel down to the town.
