This place is absolute perfection. As soon as we walk across the cobbled street to the front of The Dundonald we were greeted by the warmest of welcomes from Laura. We were given a tour of the beautiful house, tastfully styled & absolutely immaculate. The attention to detail was incredible. Our bedroom was equally as beautiful & very comfortable. 1 hour into our stay I started thinking of when I could come back & visit! Breakfast was equally delicious with fresh crossiants, juice, coffee, homemade granola & more! Laura is the perfect host with a loving & welcoming demeanour and made us feel at home, with great tips and knowledge to make your trip even better. We even enjoyed a bottle of wine & cheese board in the lounge on an evening. Location is equally great! Stunning & historic town of culross within a 45 min drive to Edinburgh which we enjoyed for a day trip. I honestly couldn't recommend this place enough. Its on the top of my list for places to stay in Scotland & can't wait to come back

We loved everything about our stay here! Stunning interior design and comfortable accommodations. All the little details were perfect and thoughtful. We had a spacious bedroom and bathroom with an incredible view of the village and ocean. We appreciated the Nespresso machine and and tea (plus milk and hot water thermos) that came in our room. We enjoyed sitting in the common area to unwind in the evenings. Breakfast each morning was delicious, fresh, and filling. We’d highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Culross or within a short drive to Edinburgh. Laura was an amazing host and gave wonderful recommendations on things to do.

We liked everything about our stay at The Dundonald! Specifically we enjoyed walking the tiny cobblestone streets of Culross and taking in the beautiful architecture, palace, and gardens. Being situated at the Dundonald allowed us to do that and take a break from driving. Laura has created a perfect environment for a relaxing and luxurious stay at The Dundonald. Everything from our fabulous home cooked breakfasts, beautifully appointed rooms, and natural body care products were exquisite!!!
No complaints here! I'll use this spot to say I very much appreciated a stylish hot water thermos always ready to make a pot of tea!🫖

Where do I start 👌the room was amazing, really well designed to a high standard with lots of thought around the customer experience. The area was beautiful, with spectacular views from our room that could be taken in using the binoculars that are available in the room, nice touch. The food, oh my word, breakfast was out of this world. A three course breakfast of assorted pastry, Greek yogurt with nuts and fruit compote followed by smoked salmon and eggs on toast 😋 Our host Laura was so welcoming, kind and friendly and could not do enough for us. We left early on the second day as we were travelling to a different location in Scotland, Laura kindly did us breakfast to go which was amazing. I can’t rave about how wonderful our stay was enough, I would definitely recommend the experience to everyone. Thank you so much for making us feel like royalty during our stay.
Absolutely nothing, it was perfect.

Flawless design of each and every space. Laura anticipated anything we could possibly wish for and had it prepared ready for us upon arrival! She was an incredible host and provided such a lovely service. Laura was SO accomodating to our every need, and welcomed us to her stay with open arms. We shuffled our entire trip around so we could stay here after I found this gem in the Hidden Scotland Magazines. Our absolute favourite stay of our honeymoon.
That our trip didn’t allow us to stay an extra night!

The Dundonald Guesthouse was a real highlight of our stay in Scotland. Beautiful room and shared spaces - stunning, spacious, luxurious interior design. A perfect place to stay in the centre of historic Culross. Laura was a welcoming host, and it was lovely chatting with her over a beautiful breakfast. Wished we could have stayed longer - will definitely book The Dundonald Guesthouse on future trips to Scotland.

Lovely room in a beautiful guest house. We missed breakfast and Laura was kind enough to send us off with coffee and croissants.
It seems odd that this property has a curfew, something we've not seen before. Be aware if you don't choose the charcuterie board for dinner, there is only one dinner option in Culross, the local pub, the food of we found to be surprisingly mediocre.

We absolutely loved staying at the Dundonald Cottage and would come back in an instant if we're ever back in the vicinity again. The communication was brilliant, the property itself was exceptional, breakfast was magnificent and Culross itself was a great base for a few days in and around the central belt.

Loved everything! Beautiful restful design, everything was truly perfect. Amazing charcuterie board was a lovely addition and served as wonderful dinner after a long drive. Wonderful wine and room amenities. Owner was terrific. All in all our favorite stay out of two weeks in Scotland. Cute historic town.

Fantastic location & beautiful room
I’m afraid the breakfast wasn’t my cup of tea. I’m sure I’m not the only person who doesn’t like smoked salmon and my alternative option of 1 boiled egg wasn’t great. The food was excellent quality but seemed to be a case of style over perhaps what people would expect.
