Beautiful decor, very comfortable beds, well equipped and well laid out kitchen with everything one could need. The bathroom has a shower and seperate bath which was great. The property was very clean. Property was easy to find, with parking immediately to the front of the property. Communication with the property owners was easy and instant. There is a Tesco store and many more shops within a 5 minute walk of the property, and lots of eateries available. We have stayed at this property a number of times to attend the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and love coming back here. Thank you very much Carmel Apartments

I am struggling to think of anything negative about the property, everything was just perfect for us.

An impeccably presented and spacious property. Attention to detail is outstanding. An 8 minute walk to rail link to Glasgow and Edinburgh and 3-5 minute walk to shops and restaurants/pubs. We chose Falkirk as a midway point between Glasgow and Edinburgh as accommodation in Edinburgh in particular was ridiculously expensive. It proved to be a good choice as this property was outstanding in every way and we would not have been able to experience this level of accommodation in either of the other centres. The rail trip to each was uncomplicated and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend this property

It was wonderful throughout

The location was great with good facilities. Great for our dog with an enclosed garden which was an oasis of calm. There was a lovely selection of teas and treats which was a special touch.

The property windowsills and parts of doors had been painted on the day of our arrival. This meant we had to have the windows open because of the smell. Unfortunately street loading/unloading at 5am (which was outside the control of the property) did therefore impact on the quality of our stay. It was also tricky with the dog keeping her away from the edges of the doors as she was moving around the apartment.

The apartment is located relatively close to a main road junction, so you will not get stuck in a traffic jam. The street is quite calm, with no major issues finding a parking spot for your car. The instructions on how to get in were very informative and truly perfect. The apartment is on the ground floor, but electric blinds on each window provide privacy while staying at home. The kitchen is fully equipped—whatever you need, you will definitely find it! This is great! A welcome fudge was a nice touch to accompany our morning coffee. The variety of tea bags was also a big advantage for tea lovers. Everything was clean and cozy, with enough space to store your belongings in the wardrobe and bathroom. There’s a nicely designed backyard area nicely lightened with a place to sit. A small shop with basic groceries is conveniently located right next to the entrance.

nothing important to mention

Top quality apartments with every facility you might need, very nicely decorated with a fabulous enclosed rear garden. Parking out front, provided there is a space, really quiet at night despite being on a road. Some of the apartments are upstairs so take that into consideration. All of the apartments I believe are 1 bedroom with a pull out bed in the living room, so you have to rearrange the furniture a little to set up the 2nd bed which can make it a little claustrophobic for 4 adults. You might want to consider renting two apartments if you are a group of 4, we would on a future stay.

Nothing to dislike, the pull out bed although very comfortable made things a little awkward but for a couple staying the apartments are fabulous, four adults I would recommend renting two apartments, they are very reasonably priced.

Decor was superb, shame about the tv in the bed room but that didn't distract us from the whole complex, superb. Kitchen, lounge, bathroom bedrooms brilliant, I'd say the mattresses were even BETTER than Premiere Inn, SO SO GOOD. Do not be put off by what you see. No problems with parking or area. Glasgow and Edinburgh are quite within reach, 30 min on train either way. Area built from granite and stone and concrete. It gives a look but doesn't reflect the true area for friendly atmosphere.

Shortage of baking trays other than that, and that's been picky. Instructions for appiances - leaflets for local amenities - Glasgow/Edinburgh would be brilliant.

Lovely little apartment, very clean, kitchen was small but it had everything you would need. Lovely little personal touches. choice of great tea, high quality bedding, fixtures and fittings. 2 minute walk to shopping and restaurants

WE needed to use the pull out sofa bed, the table was lovely but very heavy to move and pulled the carpet and there was not much space to move it to, maybe a lighter table to be able guests to move easier. Some shelves or hooks in the bathroom cupboard area, just to put some clothes and vanity bag whilst showering would be useful.

The property was beautiful and well kept! Apartment had everything we needed to make our own food if we wished, and laundry which was good for a family. There is a wonderful outdoor garden space with seating, and the property is secured by a gate and code. There is a near by shopping complex where you can get anything g you need, which was very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay, and we are going back in a few days! Falkirk was a more economical place to stay, and has trains to all different areas of Scotland. We used this as our navigation point to explore Scotland!

We recently stayed at the Carmel apartments. We stayed the first night in the Studio Deluxe apartment. On arrival I was worried as it looked like we had arrived at a garden shed, but once inside it was perfect, there was everything you needed for an overnight stay, comfy bed and bedding, a little kitchenette area with a combi microwave, bathroom with toilet and shower, I did find the bathroom sink a little awkward, it was over the toilet and with short arms brushing my teeth was a little difficult. I would be happy to spend a night there again. The next day we transferred to the main apartments, we were in 172 which was absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way. We spent 3 nights here and it was almost a shame to have to leave. The large bed was very comfortable, a three seater sofa in the lounge meant we could relax when in the apartment. The kitchen area had everything you could possibly need (although we did need a pair of scissors one day and couldn’t find any but that’s not to say they were not there somewhere, so many cupboards and drawers with lots of little extras in. A good sized fridge freezer, oven, microwave etc, even a coffee machine with coffee pods included. There were plenty of plug sockets around the apartment. The Wi-Fi was very good in both accommodations, as was the tv’s. The curtains were completely blackout and very heavy and luxurious which meant no light or noise from outside once drawn, making for a good nights sleep. Our friends stayed in apartment 170 right next door to us and their apartment was just as beautiful, slightly different layout and decoration but the same high quality and standard. Both 170 and 172 are first floor apartments with a view across the park, however they are up a stone staircase, not a problem for us but for someone with mobility issues maybe a ground floor apartment would be better suited. All the apartments were exceptionally clean, lighting was good and they were warm with great heating.

Our apartment was very well equipped, very clean and nicely decorated. We felt at home instantly. Taking the train from the nearby Falkirk Grahamston station to Edinburgh has been very easy. We bought the tickets not online but in advance at the station and could take our kids with us for only 1 £ each. Our Scottish friends were asking why we'd stay in Falkirk. But this accommodation has made it worthwhile. Close to supermarkets, great appliances and last but not least a great selection of tea.

As a family of four we used the sleeping sofa for two nights. In the long run, this arrangement would have been too crowded or rather too small. But that's the only wee negative point.
