The views are idyllic, the bedrooms were large and really nice with a lovely en suite. It was part of a fantastic cafe with amazing food and unbelievable service (see below). It was also very good value for money and had free cancellations We needed to eat quickly to make a cab to a wedding and the chefs were new and being a bit slow (as expected). As a result the waitress offered to cancel our breakfast for us and refund it, and also gave us two free cheese scones and two large cakes to say sorry - really excellent waitressing and she didn’t need to be so generous and helpful But she was

Key to lock the room door a little stiff but still worked fine

Location on sea between high street and promenade was wonderful. Bed was comfortable and area was quiet, walkable and beautiful. The Coorie cafe on first floor and the staff there were friendly and welcoming. Parking outside the building was very convenient. Excellent written materials available in room for orienting to the property, neighborhood, local restaurants, etc. The Ship Inn restaurant close by was unexpected treat.

Self check-in worked well, but lack of on-site staff meant we had difficulty communicating about and resolving a plumbing problem with the shower. (Had our phones been working for making in-country calls this may have helped, but our communications about this problem through booking.com messaging was entirely unsuccessful.). Window shutters in bathroom had no latches so would not stay closed.

I was there only one night staying relatively close to Edinburgh airport for my flight back to the US. Had to get up early so missed breakfast, which I'm sure would have been good. My room had a great view out to the Firth of Forth and harbour. If you stay here due to proximity to the airport, be aware that traffic on Forth Road bridge is unpredictable and apparently can cause delays even though the distance is not far. I did not have such a problem on my day.

Cannot really comment because it was a very short stay and only liked what I saw. Not a lot of places to eat dinner nearby. Make reservations if you want to eat at nearby pubs because they get booked up.

I usually stay at the Premier Inn, but they were full, so took a chance on the Coorie. I didn't expect much for a 2 night stay costing only 67 pounds! Was pleasently surprised. Room was excellent with underfloor heating in bathroom and big selection of coffee, tea etct (probably enough for 4 people). Check in was quick and straightforward. The property is located close to Rosyth dockyard, so ideal for anyone working there. The hotel has a pub within easy walking distance in either direction if you fancy a pint after a day's work or sight seeing. Next time I'm up this way for work, I will book the Coorie in preference to the Premier Inn.

I imagine parking may be an issue in the busy Summer months, but there is a large free car park opposite the property.

Yasmine and Team Coorie could not have been more welcoming, kind, and thoughtful. We were treated like VIPs from the moment we stepped from the taxi in front in the cafe the morning of our arrival. Yasmine, earlier that morning, sent us an email explaining self check-in should we arrive after 5:00PM when the cafe closes. She immediately met us outside and, although it was well before check-in time, took our heavy luggage to our room. Then she showed us to a lovely window seat in the cafe where we could relax and enjoy a most delicious lunch...the waffles with corn flake coated chicken is Fantastic! By the time we finished, our room was ready and we could enjoy the most comfortable, large room with a lovely view of the Firth of Forth...room #2. We enjoyed peaceful relaxation along the beach and many benches along Limekilns Pier just across the street. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous as well, with special attention shown to us so we could share our selections. We commented on how delicious the tea service in our room was, especially the Caramel wafer biscuits, and Sasha, who made sure our room was clean and comfortable, even gave us extra. Everyone made us feel so special. After we checked out and were back in the USA, we got a message from Yasmine telling us that we had left behind a Cpap machine. She offered to post it to us! Incredible kindness and customer service! Truly wonderful people and relaxing place to stay. Highly recommend and would love to stay again! Thank you, Yasmine and Team Coorie.

Being older with some mobility issues, I would have liked a grab rail in the lovely walk-in shower.

Such a wonderful, cozy atmosphere. The family room was very spacious and the curtains did a good job of keeping it dark in the morning to let us sleep in. Very quiet even though there is a coffee shop on the ground floor. Our windows opened which was a great treat. The radiator heaters also worked very efficiently during the cool nights. Beds were also super comfy. Coffee shop very convenient with a special door to directly access the hotel rooms. Check-in was efficient - done via emails. Instructions on how to park and access our room were perfect!

Not much to change. Bathroom was fresh and clean. Suggest adding more hooks for hanging towels/ robes. The bedroom had lovely crown molding yet the walls were bare. A few pictures/ paintings would add even more character.

AINSLY WELCOMED US, THANK YOU. BREAKFAST BEST I'D EVER HAD. OBVIOUSLY QUALITY PRODUCTS USED. LOVED THE NICK NACKS ON DISPLAY FOR PURCHASE. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND PROUD WHEN RECEIVING GOOD FEEDBACK FROM CUSTOMERS. PERHAPS ROOM DOORS COULD BE SOUNDPROOFED AS SON COULD HEAR ALL OUR CONVERSATION IN THE HALLWAY. KURT, THE WAITER AT THE SHIP INN, WAS VERY WELCOMING AND WE ENJOYED MEETING HIM.

PITY ABOUT THE LOCAL CUSTOMER RUDENESS IN THE SHIP INN, WE ENDED UP BUYING A CHINESE TAKEAWAY AND PAYING £80 FOR 4 STARTERS, AS WE WERE UNABLE TO TAKE 2 OPEN WINE BOTTLES WITH US. OUR ENJOYMENT WAS SPOILED TO THE POINT WE FELT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND LEFT BEFORE OUR MAIN COURSES. MY SON, AGED 31, WAS CALLED AN OLD MAN AND LAUGHING/TAKING PICTURES APPEARED UNACCEPTABLE. PERHAPS WARN PEOPLE OR STOP RECOMMENDING THE SHIP INN, WHICH WOULD BE A SHAME AS KURT WAS AN EXCELLENT WAITER AND EMBARRASSED BY EVENTS.

Coorie by the Coast is a gem. Reasonable rates, sparkling clean facilities, very comfortable bed and pillows. Aynesly was a charming and friendly face for the staff and was helpful getting us oriented. The breakfast (the Wee Coorie; eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, toast) was top notch, made fresh, served beautifully. The decor is fresh and appealing. View over the water was lovely. There are close by pub/restaurants for dinner as Coorie is not open during dinner hours.

My only suestion to this wonderful place is the urgent need for grab bars in the shower.

Everything about the Coorie was perfect! The beds are like sleeping on clouds and the views that you can take in from the window seats are amazing. The room was massive and didn't hear another person the whole time was there. ( Only suggestion I have for the family room is an additional lock further up the door to prevent kids getting out so easy even when door locked. Son mistook the door for the toilet door thankfully was still awake when it happened )

That I had only booked 1 night, highly recommend more than 1 night!

We received a warm welcome at breakfast. Our meal was a good size and delicious, and our vegan preference was well catered for. The room had very high ceilings so felt spacious. The bed was comfortable and the linens were of a good quality.

We enjoyed a comfortable stay. The room was of a good size and the staff were always really helpful. The corridors leading up to our room were quite dated and narrow. And noise (tv, talking, doors closing) from other rooms was audible. The room handle/lock was difficult to operate when closing the door (one had to close this firmly which we were hesitant to do early on Sunday morning). However, we would be happy to stay again overnight.
