Lovely friendly, helpful staff. Excellent variety of restaurant style food. The chef was very talented. Unlimited breakfast cooked by different staff. Maybe the breakfast could have been slightly better with better cooked eggs that were awful. Otherwise, there were lots of choices, so only a minor issue. The beds were comfortable, and everything was clean and tidy. Well furnished, clean and tidy rooms. Lovely showers. Coffee, tea, chocolate and shortbread provided. Reception was well staffed with really helpful staff. Lots of good parking.

The eggs at breakfast were either hard fried, greasy, or scrambled tasted like powdered eggs.

The hotel staff and room were great, but the staff within the bar/restaurant stole the show. We were there early for check-in, went for lunch and were made to feel at home. They then let us check-in 2 hours early since we were tired from our flight. We then had dinner in the restaurant all 4 nights and both food and service was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and were ready to chat to no end. They were so curious about used and home. We got to know most of them so well.

The food served for breakfast was great but would have enjoyed being able to order.

The hotel though could do with a bit of an update couldn’t be faulted. From the minute we arrived at reception we were made to feel very welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable even had a small fridge. The bar area was great and very modern, again the staff were great. Had our meal in the bar on our first night and the food was first rate. Nothing was a problem to any member of staff, my husband and I needed a taxi on the Saturday morning and reception staff arranged this for us. Had breakfast both mornings we were then which again couldn’t be faulted and as soon as you entered the dining room you were greeted warmly and asked if you would like tea or coffee and if you would like toast. The rest of the breakfast was buffet style and there was a good choice of hot and cold breakfast items and cereal and fruit as well.

Do not have any dislikes

Breakfast catered for both Continental visitors and traditional British guests. the rom was very clean and reasonably well appointed. The TV ws a disapointment, carried few terrestial chanels. There was a good selection of main courses for an evening meal, obviously prepared on site.

There were noise problems with the central heating in the evening and during the night, this was reported to the night porter when I left in the morning, before the office staff were there. The problems were fixed during the day and I was offered another quieter room when I returned for my second night. The reponse from staff was exemplary.

Very quaint old building with lots of little corridors and random steps but room was lovely. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, as was the service. We also had dinner the previous night. They managed to squeeze us in as were very busy but the food was amazing. Best chips I have ever tasted. All the staff were lovely. We were there to see the cabeytu brothers and the staff serving the drinks at night were all so lovely. Even joined in on the singing and dancing.

The receptionist wasn't the most accommodating. When we asked about booking in to the restaurant for dinner, we were told that she "think it's fully booked so no chance but if you really wanted to you could go and ask but doubt you would get a table" Thankfully the staff in the restaurant went above and beyond to fit us in when they knew we were staying there. As it's the 1st point of contact in the hotel I feel she could have been a little more helpful. Felt like we were an inconvenience for asking anything at all. No smiles, no enjoy your stay,

The room looked very nice. There was a glass brick wall dividing bedroom from en-suite, looked very nice. .food for evening meal was very good, came fairly quickly and was very hot.

The bathroom light was an automatic light so if the bathroom was used in the middle of the night it lit up like a lighthouse and no way to turn it off. The shower was either scalding or freezing without touching the controls. I couldn’t get the bubble spa bath to work and nor could the staff. Found the switch for it in the bedroom by the tv, breakfast not so good. Only real complaint was all the cigarette butts outside our door which was opposite the rear of kitchen.

Staff were amazing polite and helpful from the minute of booking and very accommodating, the girls I were dealing with Jenny and cara went over and above, from letting us get rooms early to get ready for wedding , and even organising 6 seater taxi to take us into Falkirk ahead of our stay, made everything very straight forward and hassle free especially travelling with my 86 year old dad who has difficulties walking, would I book here again, it’s a no brainier of course I would, thank you

There is nothing for me to add here

The staff were friendly and helpful from beginning to end. We got a room with a jacuzzi, and the jacuzzi was clean and well kept - really enjoyed using it. We were attending a family member's 50th anniversary party at the hotel, and they did a lovely job with it. The breakfast that came with the room was quite good - a full Scottish breakfast buffet with lighter options also provided.

There were some loose floor tiles in the bathroom and the decor was a bit dated, but we really did like this hotel and had a great time at the event they were hosting.

The room was really spacious and the bathroom was clean and a good size. The bed was super comfy too. The price was really good value as well. The breakfast was included but we hadn't realised that so we didn't actually have it.

The windows didnt open very far and I understand why however the room was so hot!! all through the day and night. We were getting ready for Taylor Swift in there and it was just too warm. The decor was a little old fashioned but it was fine. No view from the window either.

The room was clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast staff were lovely as was the breakfast choice.

Lady at reception hummed along to the background music quite loudly throughout check in (not very professional?). Disabled parking nearest to reception coned off so could not unload elderly family member for check in. Evening meal (in bar): l ordered gammon salad which came with fruit flies. I thought they were in the bar but disappeared when my plate did. Couldn't eat it.
