The accommodation has been fully renovated very recently and everything in our room was completely changed, the bed, carpet, curtains, wardrobes, desk and chairs. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower and all the fittings were good quality and brand new. Decorations were of a high standard.

The breakfast was fine except for the bacon, which was much too hard. When we booked there was no mention of car park fee. On the morning of leaving home, we got an email from booking.com saying car park was £8 per night. We have used this hotel several times before and never paid for parking. We queried this on checking in and was told if we book direct, there is no car park fee. Also, disappointing that the swimming pool is not up and running.

Room booked for two adults through Booking.com five days before arrival. Three days before arrival, I contacted the hotel directly by phone to upgrade the booking to include our grandaughter which was verbally confirmed. On arrival, at 11pm, the Duty Manager, Mark, had no information regarding the amendment, but checked our room could take a z-bed and with Steve sorted it out straight away. Five star review for Mark and Steve. We booked to include breakfast and the breakfast list did show three guests.

The person taking my call to amend my booking recording the change in the system so that we could have got into our room sooner. The hotel is being refurbished and whilst our room was very fresh and clean, the mechanism allowing to swap from bath to shower was only allowing the hot water feed to pass through. The water was very hot so we could only have a bath, not a shower. This was reported at reception when we checked out

Wow what a find! We only booked this when we couldn’t get in to any of the Nottingham hotels we usually use and didn’t have high hopes given it was so much cheaper than other available rooms but boy were we wrong! From the moment we arrived everything was fantastic, from the friendly welcome at reception to the large and immaculate room. The recently refurbished room was extremely large, with a separate part with wardrobe, desk, hospitality tray and space to store luggage. In the bedroom area there was a large and very comfy bed along with a settee and seating area. The bathroom was huge and finished to an exceptionally high standard. I loved that the controls for the large walk in shower were well away from the shower heads meaning you could set the shower going and get it to temperature without having to stand under a cold shower - brilliant design. The hospitality tray had a kettle, a coffee machine and a range of different sized cups - not often you can have an espresso in an espresso cup in a hotel room. There were cakes, biscuits and savoury snacks provided. This hotel was fantastic value for money and we will stay here again. Congratulations to the team- it’s clear you are rightly proud of your hotel.

Shame there is a charge for parking but even with that it was great value for money.

Gorgeous building/ location. Reception staff member had all the answers to our questions (and we had a lot). Breakfast was so good.

Dated decor in the bedroom. Dog friendly hotel but not dog water bowl/ treats around- of course we brought our own but it’s always really nice and welcoming when they are available in the reception. Shower did not drain correctly until we pulled out the entire plug in it.

Location was good parking on site staff friendly ,room lovely clean and comfortable ,

The only thing I didn’t like was on the Saturday night there was a wedding reception below my room ,and to say it felt like I was above a night club is an understatement ,you could hear every word of the songs being played it was that loud 😩😩 if I had been told prior to my stay I would not have booked for the Saturday night , I paid over £350 for my stay for 2 nights there ,and I’m afraid the Saturday was a complete waste of my money ,not sure if I’ll stay again which is a shame because I did like it there apart from the all the noise on Saturday night .

We loved our stay here. We came for two nights with friends. We both had family rooms which were great and our rooms were next door to each other as requested. The hotel is modern, clean and excellent value for money. The pool and spa facilities are great and the children especially enjoyed splashing around! The restaurant is good, the children's menu is great value and the food delicious. The second night we sat in the lounge area and had drinks and bar food which is a cheaper way of eating than dining in the restaurant. We enjoyed both evenings. The breakfast was lovely, we especially enjoyed the pancake machine. The staff in the restaurant are all helpful and nice. We had a day out at the heights of abraham which is about a 45 minute drive away. We also went to the aeropark to watch the planes land and take off at the East Midlands airport, this is only a few minutes drive away from the hotel. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

The only thing we found that could have been better is that the pool shuts for children at 6pm. It did mean we had to rush back from our day out so that they could have time in the pool as they loved it. Maybe consider 7pm or 8pm for children at weekends or in the school holidays.

Location is great for stay near M1 or East Midlands Airport. Rooms are very nice and the bed is amazing. Staff really friendly and helpful. Good restaurant located at hotel. Spa facilities access included (if you let them know on arrival when you want to use spa)

Clearer information on booking as car park is £8 per night as not advertised very well on booking.com. If your staying there to travel to Nottingham on public transport bare in mind east mids parkway rail station is a good 45 mins to walk there. Local buses are nearby for Loughborough or Derby but you have to change at east mids to get the skylink to Nottingham.

Comfiest pillows in life 🤩 great sleep in a super comfy bed. Staff friendly and helpful. Room really big. Lovely stay. Wish it had been longer. Will be back.

The fried egg at breakfast tasted kind of watery and the sausage had an unexpected flavour to it. Not unpleasant, just maybe a bit odd and herby?

Great cooked breakfast

Breakfast wasn't relaxing. We were eating our cooked breakfast and were informed there was only 10 mins before the buffet closed so it felt like we had to hurry up and eat in order to get some toast. Time: 09.20am. We were seated very close to a family who had a toddler who was climbing all over the seat next to us. The waitress cleared the table the other side of us which was about a foot away, we were eating at the time and she sprayed cleaner over the table but in our direction! No one was sat in the other direction. So all in all it felt hurried and not at all relaxing. Please don't spray cleaner spray around people who are eating! There's plenty of time before lunch service to do that!

The staff were lovely, very helpful. The location was great for the airport. The food at the restaurant was great.

The sofa bed for the children was awful, the mattress was so uncomfortable they couldn’t sleep, it made a lot of noise too so it kept us awake which sort of defeated the objective.
