Everything was just as advertised and in all departments exceeded our expectations. The staff we had the pleasure to meet, were all exceptional, very smart, professional and nothing was too much. The lodge was huge, spotlessly clean and the bed size exactly what we'd booked (Please note that is definitely not always the case with Booking.com) The Kitchen in the lodge was very well equipped and an additional bonus of milk, cereal, pain au chocolat, water and chocolate bars included in the price The breakfast and evening meals were very good, tasty and just enough to start and to end the day.

I had the warmest welcome to Dundonald Links, Michelle and all the staff were so helpful and warm I feel like I’d known them for ages. The rooms were really comfortable and well designed. The main clubhouse where the restaurant was a beautiful space to eat, sit, have drinks and look at the view, as well as the steam and sauna facilities which was a welcome treat after travelling for so long. The electric car chargers were great and the staff are so helpful when you need to plug in.

The sauna wasn’t working when I was there but honestly I loved everything about this place.

Everything from the exceptional warm welcome by Michelle and the team at reception to the room and facilities were fantastic! The accommodation doesn't look much from the outside, but we were blown away when shown the inside. Spacious and comfortable with all mod cons, including Dyson Air fan, Sky TV and Nespresso machine made our stay one to remember. We will definitely be returning to stay at Dundonald Links.

The chairs and tables outside in the sitting area of the accommodation could do with a little clean but nothing else to fault.

Quiet well appointed

The temp was exceptionally hot ((25 degrees +) & the ventilation in the room (pod) was poor. A fan was provided but this was insufficient to cool the room. We didn’t feel safe to leave the patio doors open overnight as ground level & easy access for any intruders. We left the curtains closed during the day so the room would not heat up - however housekeeping opened the curtains ! Result - room was like a sauna on our return layer in day! Not clever, not considerate!

Food on Saturday night was excellent and the place was busy, not just with golfers. The pod/room is very spacious - Tardis like in fact but it had no view, unless you count a grassy mound 3 yds from the patio a view. That seems to be the case for most rooms 1-12 (we were Rm 12) Able tpo p[ark very close to the room. Room cleaned during the stay, great but not needed.

Rm 12 - couldn't use patio furniture due to bird poo. Breakfast on the Saturday was a bit meh, orders placed at 8:45 had to ask for our cereals at 9:10 then the cereals came with the cooked items 5 mins later... Next day we were a bit more explicit and said "after we've had our cereals" and everything was fine, TBH staff on Sunday seemed a lot more switched on, 2 of the gents we'd seen the night before (last weekend in Jan).

Beautiful location. Great staff. All very modern and high end. We were not there for golf, had we been, it would've ticked alot more boxes.

Rooms were unconformably warm during mild weather. Lack of room service. Competing with non hotel residents for an evening meal. Also could've done with more instruction for housekeeping, as we seemed to struggle to get clean towels and toiletries - but a call to reception later and they were delivered promptly.

Dundonald Links is absolutely stunning. Loved that the rooms were in little pods that also had a patio to sit out and enjoy the sunshine and surroundings. The clubhouse is beautiful and luxurious whilst also being very laid back. I wasn’t there to play golf and it was still the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. Lorna, who was on reception, was the warmest and friendliest person I’ve met at a hotel. She really is a huge asset to the hotel.

My only complaint is that breakfast isn’t included in the price of your stay. I think that, for the price, this should be added.

good quality accommodation . large room. lovely restaurant with amazing views over golf course and great food.

We stayed in an accessible room and although we didn’t need to i found the toilet a bit awkward. it was very close to the sink and and my knees were up against the sink. i am not sure how a person less abled or needed assistance would manage ! Poor design . The wet room was very big so i am sure the sink could have been a bit further away!

Rooms really clean, well laid out with excellent facilities. Staff all really friendly and keen and enthusiastic to make your stay special. Meal in The Canny Crow was outstanding, lots of choice and variety and excellent wines etc. Breakfast in the morning wonderful again a variety of options with prompt service and attentive staff.

There is nothing that could have been better done. Perhaps a slightly later checkout, rather than 10 am,, would have been better.

Breakfast was lovely. Partner would have liked beans though 🤣. Loved the outside seating area but I think for non golfers some of the rooms should have hot tubs out back to enjoy the surrounds and view even more.

Maybe an air freshener or Reed diffuser in the bathroom as no window to open. Also the room was really warm and the fan wasn't great we had the door open up till sleep time though so not all bad.
