Room size was great. Very comfortable and clean. Loved having the bath facility aswell as shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. Good value for money.

Would've preferred the option of later check out. When requested n offer to pay extra for it we were told can't be accommodated. The leisure facilities need to be used before your check out time at 11am. We were booked at a show at the gaiety theatre the night of our stay. So time we checked in, had food, attended show and used the in room bath facilities and breakfast being til 9.30am. When we tried book facilities needed to be used by 11am. We were looking forward to using them so that could be something for premises to consider for future guests and bookings.

This is a 3 star hotel in the centre of Ayr with 4+star staff. Being disabled and elderly, the receptionist was happy to change my booking to a wet room as the hotel only have showers over the bath. At breakfast, again the staff were very obliging and offered to give us table service which we gladly accepted.

Whoever put the soap dispensers in the wet room must have been a giant with arms like Mr Tickle! In the shower space, there was a fold down seat which was great but the dispensers were as far away from that seat and above head height as could be! And of course we had to paddle to get to the toilet and sink for the rest of the evening.

The room was very clean spacious and the staff were courteous and friendly. breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and the room was cleaned even though we were just there for 2 days. great location central and would definitely book again or recommend to friends.

the only thing i can say was having to wait till 3 to get into the room. we came over on the early plane and were at the hotel around 12 apart from that there were no bad points.

The location is perfect. We booked a privilege, sea view room, and it was amazing. The bed was so comfortable too! We had the perfect stay and will definitely return. The staff were lovely, so helpful and attentive. Our door handle came off on the inside, and it was sorted and repaired within 10 minutes, we went for breakfast whilst a staff member stayed at in our room to let the maintenance in. The breakfast was really nice too, a great selection.

There was absolutely nothing that we didn't like.

great central location, close to shops, beach, pubs.parking available to rear of hotel. if you go into hotel once parked you type in car reg onto a touch screen and pay a fee or you can pay and display at the car park. using hotel I think it’s slightly cheaper. we had breakfast and one evening meal. all good meals. rooms were of good size, comfy bed, shower was fine. need to request at check in if you want room serviced we did, however it was forgotten but once I let reception know it was rectified by giving fresh towels up to room so wasn’t really serviced however we didn’t really need it. we just wanted fresh towels really. view from room was looking right down to beach.

out of stock of something’s at bar wasn’t really an issue as just chose alternative. restaurant service quite slow even with only a few tables to deal with.

The staff were super, in particular Sarah and Donald - their customer service was excellent.

We booked a family room, were only offered a twin room when we arrived. No family rooms available which resulted in the staff having to join the beds together to enable us and our wee boy to sleep together in one room. We were offered 2 rooms instead but we wanted to stay as a family. When booking a family room for 2 adults and 1 child you should be offered the same room upon arrival.

The staff were very helpful and polite, the hotel was very clean and the location was very central, there is also a great pub called smiths right next door where you can watch the football and have a marvellous meal,we booked this hotel to go to Ayr races which was only a short taxi ride away,we will definitely book the mercury next time we go to Ayr 10/10.

Was allocated Privelige room which had been recently refurbished. Very comfortable large room with great sea view.

Parts of hotel are tired looking but looks like refurbishment ongoing.

The room was comfortable for the duration of stay. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Meals (restaurant & room service) were very good and promptly provided.

It would be helpful for signage to the car park to be visible at the front of the building. Entry equipment does not work and the car park to the rear of the building is untidy and unattractive. As the entry to the hotel from the car park is the 'first impression' of the hotel it would be advantageous for this to be given some attention.

Often stay here great location good for parking very safe with brilliant staff

Fire doors on level six some don’t have door closers so they bang same with bed room doors. Didn’t bother me but my wife was woken up a few times. Lack of power points couldn’t use my apple Mac as there was insufficient space between the socket and the furniture surfaces. Bit tired needs a spruce but we love it!
