Loved the restaurant and it’s staff Who were excellent and couldn’t be more helpful. Housekeeping team were Also excellent. Liked the shaving mirror, would have been even better with a light in it. Liked the monsoon shower

Reception/check-in was slow and only made by one person while two others looked on for some unexplained reason. This was true of most interactions with reception. Didn’t like the towels not automatically refreshing. At heron lighting wasn’t great. Netflix would have been food. I only had a be liz window with no view. I should have been warned.. In my sisters room the shower head was to high for my sister to reach .in my room (504) there was a small leak from the sower on the the batcherom floor which I contained with the bath mat.

Breakfast staff were wonderful. Food lovely. Bed very comfy and shower was great. Hotel has great decor and has a lovely feel. Very clean and great location. Would stay again.

On check in, was asked to produce my payment card incase I spent anything extra? (I had already prepaid for my stay in advance). £50 was charged from my bank and released back into my bank when I checked out 2 days later? Not normal practice wherever I have stayed? Maybe register a card but not reserve funds just incase? Also, room card deactivated on my 2nd day with no reason. Had to get a new card as couldn't get in my room. Wasn't given an explanation. Paid for a superior king room with views. Was at side if building so no view of river or city as side window. My view was of road and houses.

When we arrived it was pouring with rain, we entered a rather dingy reception and I was a bit disappointed, however, a very efficient and cheery recepionist booked us in and I realised that this was once a jute mill, on checking out another enthusieastic receptionist explained that they were in the pricess of redesiging the the foyer to make it brighter and welcoming, after I took stock of the surroundings it became clear that the designer had has done a superb and sympathetic job of incorporating so many existing features. The room was spotlessly clean and attractive and a nice touch was two bittles of water in the room fridge, the aircon was very efficient. We had opened a window and a double decker raced past, we thought it was an aircraft by the noise, closed window and peace and quiet was restored. We ate in the restaurant and due to a mix up our steaks were wrong, no hassle to replace and a lovely gesture of hummous, olives and flat bread to keep us going, the replacement steaks were superb, ssriously good. Chatting to the staff it was clear that they were proud of their hotel and enjiyed working there, there was a happy interaction between the employees. All in all, it is a lovely hotel with lovely staff, we will certainly be back.

Its a small gripe - parking was tricky as they are undertaking building work, however there is parking nearby, no complaint just an observation during a Scottish downpour.

Staff were friendly and helpful. I really liked the hotel decor - modern but mindful of the building's historic past. The room was spacious (double room for sole occupancy), with a very comfy bed and both soft and firm pillows to choose from. The walk in shower was up to date with a power shower and lovely fluffy towels. Dinner in the Daisy Tasker restaurant was excellent - good quality food and friendly, efficient staff. The continental breakfast was really good (didn't have cooked breakfast, so can't comment on hot food).

Not the hotel's fault but there were roadworks just outside the entrance to the hotel car park and it was a bit noisy in the early morning.

The room was very comfortable and well equipped. Very comfortable bed! In the bar I asked for crisps and nuts and was brought bowls for which there was no charge. Lovely touch. Breakfast was substantial and well cooked. I was able to park easily in the minuscule car park but guests arriving later struggled for space.

I was lucky to get a car park space and staff were instrumental in securing this for me. At £12.50 overnight the cost is reasonable for city centre. Car park is being extended so hopefully that will help guests in future.

Bed was comfy, black out blinds were good, there is a safe in the room and tea making facilities. The room was nice and warm and spotlessly clean. Good choice of buffet breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was within easy walking distance to both shopping centres, bus station and tourist attractions.

Would of liked a bath in room but wasn’t going to pay £40 extra a night for a suite with a bath. Cooked breakfast was just warm. Would of been better if there was at least one bright light in the room as well as the dim lights. Instructions for the coffee pod machine would of be handy.

sensitively restored former jute mill. clean and well sized rooms with a good shower. the staff made it, though. they were really helpful and friendly even filling up our water bottles and they securely stored our mountain bikes in their linen store. Breakfast and dinner were great and we enjoyed the local beer. I’m allergic to wasp stings and at 10pm they moved us to a new room because there was a wasp in the high ceiling which we couldn’t reach. loved reading the Beano!

Lack of car parking would have been problematic but for the council car park nearby

Former jute mill that was sensitively renovated. The reception area even had jute and showcased the history of the hotel building and Dundee, the restaurant had a portion of the wall showing all of the different plaster and brickwork over the years and the names of the suites referenced the local area and famous Dundonians. Loved that the handles for the safe and drinks cupboards were “Doocot” and “Drouth?” respectively. The whole hotel was spotless. My room was large with a comfy bed and the shower was powerful. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. The staff were so welcoming and helpful but not in any false way - just genuinely nice folk.

Nothing!

There was a hiccup with our deposit holding but staff went above and beyond to resolve this and minimise the inconvenience when it was realised. Once again we are impressed and will return here when we next stay in Dundee

Other than our issue which was resolved by the manager, the only thing was the car park. Its pretty small and it was overbooked. 2 disabled spaces were taken up by 3 cars, and an unregistered van was blocking the entrance at night. This was mostly out of staffs control and it was cleared by morning anyway. So for that to be the only complaint they did a great job

The room was well appointed, the shower was wonderful as there was enough room to move around and not hit elbows and heads, and we didn't get wet turning it on! Big bonus! Breakfast was fine, with the exception of the coffee - we told one of the waiters there was none left and they didn't do anything about it for over 15 minutes. Not good enough!

Thought it was a bit cheeky charging guests for parking... I can't get onto the app to find out my points - It keeps rejecting my password and won't accept my new one. I'm going round in circles which is hugely frustrating...
