The hotel was very close to both the university and the city centre, which made it perfect! It has a Lidl and a Tesco express nearby, which is very convenient. Very clean. The staff were very friendly, helpful and super polite, and the areas to have a coffee, dinner or simply work, amazing. They have plugs at almost every table, so you can really work from there if you need it. Great internet connection.

The bed was not super comfortable and the breakfast not the best either, but this is just a detail. If I had to rate those two things I'd still say 7.5/10.

We stayed for 4 nights & the breakfast never changed, got a little boring after the 2nd - It was nice food just a little variety would have made it better. Housekeeping exellent.

No openable windows - My Hubby has very smelly feet & it would have been great to get rid of the smell rather than sleep with it. Need to keep an eye out for toilet rolls in the downstairs Ladies (that was the only 1 I used other than our room), there were 2 cubicles without any on 1 of our days. You are the Hilton, not a Travelodge, what is with the wooden stirrers in rooms, this needs looking @ - please, I kept taking them from downstairs up to the room.

Cleanliness, staff, location. Nothing was any trouble to the staff. Very attentive, helpful and friendly. Have been guests at this hotel before. Would certainly recommend to friends and family. Will return in the future.

Breakfast was cool to eat, and plates were cold (quality of food was good). There was more demand than supply; many people hanging about waiting for food to be replenished . This appears to be a recurring issue as we experienced the same in the Hampton in Glasgow. They were worse they had a sign up their toaster didn't work.

This hotel is in an excellent location within a short walk to the city centre. We have stayed here quite a few times and the staff are always very welcoming. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds and all the essentials you require. The buffet style breakfast is plentiful and freshly cooked. It also takes only few minutes to walk from the hotel to the city centre, the hotel staff are happy to recommend places to visit and sights to see.

The hotel decor is very generic, therefore if you are looking for a very upmarket boutique hotel to stay, this one is not for you.

Breakfast superb, room cleanliness excellent, great location and parking within hotel grounds great but I did not appreciate having to pay £10 per night.

Conformance to fire door regulations not being adhered too was poor discipline, especially during the night. All fire doors on floor 1, where we were staying, were always locked open, so I must assume that it is common practice across all floors. The practice of locking the fire doors, I assume, is to accommodate the cleaning staff facilitating their duties. However each door is clearly annotated with signage stating that the fire door must be closed.

Parking on site. Decent size of the room with all thats needed. Friendly staff.

Weird system of payment. I paid by cash and yet they took the same amount of my credit card to pay it back after couple of days. We couldn't open the window in the room so no fresh air for all time of our stay. Breakfast is included but very limited. No fruits/vegetables. Only English breakfast and few yogurts. Coffee machine was down here and there. Otherwise, coffee quality very poor. I ended up paying for the coffee at the reception.

On check in, we were met by Ged, who was a superstar. He was telling us about all the best pubs to visit in Dundee. Our room was very well finished with everything we needed. Parking is at the front of the hotel and also they have an underground facility as well. Breakfast was very good, with lots of options to choose from.

There was some noise from the street outside, but you cant blame that on the hotel. We were on the first floor, so my be ask for a room on a higher floor if it bothers you.

Lovely to have two wide (120cm) twin beds. Everything was spotless, a bonus to be able to park on site for just 10 pounds rather than in a public carpark further away. Breakfast featured most of what one would want for a self-serve. Staff were all great. We could walk to the excellent V&A and Discovery museums.

The area of Dundee is undergoing a lot of urban renewal - long overdue! but jsut about every building has those protective hoardings around them. It made it rather bleak.

Our second stay in this hotel, so you can tell that we had made good experiences with this hotel earlier and decided to come back. Again, the Hampton did not disappoint and provided the standard that we associate with the brand. The rooms are large and compared to options in other Scottish cities, the Hampton in Dundee is rather cheap. The location in walking distance to the train station was perfect for our stay.

This time, the bed was not very comfy, but this may be personal taste.
