Large spacious room on the ground floor with enough room for the several bike be brought with us to participate in the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships nearby in Perth. The Coaching Inn also had a secure storage space for bikes which we saw other guests using, but we just kept ours in our room. The Inn has a restaurant with some excellent food (had chefs specials on the first night) and on our last day we also experience the full Scottish breakfast, which fortified us for the long drive home. The staff and owner were very friendly and made a great effort to welcome us and make us feel at home. The local area is great for cycling and I was able to have several good rest days before participating in the World Championships. Overall a good experience at a great price.

The decor in the room is a little dated and the light above the bathroom sink/mirror did not work. On the first night there was quite a bit of noise outside (not from fellow guest).

they gave us a disabled person room as my wife could not manage up the stairs, the room was perfect for us ,i suppose it could do with a coat of paint and a general tidy up and a wee bit of TLC,but covid has hit these hotels very hard and they have come through the other side , the food and drink prices were very reasonable, the outside area could do with a tidy up , mainly caused by customers discarding fag ends rather than putting them in the bins

a general tidy ,and a coat of paint , and the toilet was not secured to the wall

Great place to stay. Very reasonable rates in a peaceful area and dog friendly. Easy access to Dundee by car or bus. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean and tidy and the bed very comfortable. Food amazing and good beers too. The landlord, Alistair, was brilliant and really helpful. He had some craft ales on tap from a local brewery, Abernyte, and managed to organise a visit for us. It was really interesting talking with one of the brewers and we were able to buy some great bottled craft ales and lagers. Definitely was worth the visit. Would happily return to Longforgan for another stay.

Nothing really. We really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Situated in a quiet village yet near to many local places of historic interest.Food was very good and value for money.Family run by genuinely friendly people with sound knowledge of local area.

Perfect for us,really happy with the location yet close to Dundee City.Bus service can be unreliable but just ask as the people are really helpful. This has been the case in any area since covid.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. The food was very good, especially the pork loin in garlic butter I had the first night. Despite the room being above the lounge, there was no noise after about 9pm. The village of Longforgan was very nice and quiet.

The radiators in the room and en-suite did make a bit of a noise, but not enough to be a distraction or a hinderance to me sleeping in the room.

Nice location, out of main Dundee but within reach with a short drive. Friendly owners, clean rooms.

Unfortunately I was on the ground floor and above me I had someone who got up to use the bathroom several times through the night and the creaking floor woke me every time. Luckily for me they were only there for the 1 night.

The best thing was the good home cooking. Nothing fancy, just good solid pub food. The daily specials were totally yummy and varied. The staff were lovely and always went the extra mile to help.

I didn't have breakfast. Actually I liked that you could have the window open and the curtains fully closed i.e. the curtain was attached to the bit of the window that opened. Good design for these warm days. Friendly people, good place.
