Breakfast team was fantastic; helpful and friendly. Special shout out to Kim, who went out of her way to give me and the family what we needed-- even putting my coffee as a takeaway when I needed to get the children to a space where they can get rid of their energy. I salute you Kim and your team. The breakfast itself had so much to choose from: fresh fruit, smoothies, cereal with toppings, continental options including pastries, cooked breakfast and toast, tea coffees. Comfy beds Great swimming pool Excellent soft play facilities

There was a reduced menu due to kitchen refurb-- this is fine, but it wasn't mentioned on the website or anywhere else really. So we didn't come prepared for this. One option for a children's meal- a smaller portion of fish and chips. The team serving dinner seemed either very new or not very interested in actually serving customers-- a stark contrast to the breakfast team. Trying to reach the hotel by phone is really challenging. In the end I rang the members club and one of the people there walked over to reception with my details so they could get back to me. Trying to extend my reservation by one night was such a mission, I just went through booking.com (effortless and it was cheaper)

Lovely location and nice ambience to the hotel. Room rather small. Welcome was pleasant but not fabulous eg I asked if the hotel was part of a hotel group, the reply was “yes”, no more info, I didn’t enquire further and have to say no info in the room to indicate.

See above. Room really no bigger than a Travel Lodge/Premier Inn - not a problem for one overnight stay but if I had been staying a week I would have been fed up stepping round my suitcase on the floor as nowhere to put it! Also inky one milk for each in the fridge (plenty of tea bags/coffee so could only have one drink when we arrived (and not topped up by the staff). So I would say the room was no more than acceptable. Also no useful hotel info in the room.

Everything about this hotel was spot on. I was a little wary about it having read some of the more recent reviews but I needn’t have worried. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The facilities were great. The children loved it. In fact we found it hard to fit everything in on our three day visit. We took a trip to Buckingham palace one day. The hotel was a commutable distance from the Centre of London. Even for children. The breakfast was plentiful. It’s a buffet. We didn’t request anything to be made specially as there was enough on display. The waiting staff were very attentive if you did need anything. We had dinner one day for my mum’s 70th birthday. Again I was a little apprehensive about this because of some earlier reviews. It was lovely. We ate in the conservatory and at first had the whole place almost to ourselves. We had a great visit and will definitely be back. It’s a gem of a place!

Nothing.

The whole place is magical. I stayed with my daughter who graduated from Kingston University. The idea was to have a relaxing break and the Lensbury is absolutely perfect for that. We had a lovely lunch in the restaurant overlooking the grounds. We used the swimming pool every night. The pool is a good size with a deep end ( hard to find). Towels, shampoo and shower gel are provided which makes life easy. The children's play area is amazing and right beside the tennis courts. There are lots of different types of boats to hire out, although we didn't have time for that. The grounds are beautiful and it's a lovely place to just walk about. I can see that its a brilliant place for families to stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back!

The changing rooms after getting out of the pool are cold but you soon heat up in the showers.

The amazing Spa team , Hope was so accommodating and professional. The therapist delivered great massages, keep hold of them ! The hotel was smart and comfortable with amazing views. Room spacious, clean and well stocked .

Lack of any kind of organisation in the restaurant. Drinks took 45 mins ( we had to ask again) Food mediocre my meal came with mayonnaise which had been sitting as there was a skin on it. Tables around not cleared . It was irritating to have to keep trying to grab attention. So many staff ! This is not there fault there needs to be training and organisation. Second night service better, food better! The breakfast was well presented and very good. But no organisation. Trying to get coffee, not easy. The restaurant its self is a bit soulless, tables poorly set , table clothes would help and obvious lack of spoons.

We had a warm welcome, the person appeared new and nervous but did a great job on the reception desk checking us in even though he had a double check and few things with a colleague - we’re all new to things at the beginning so we tried to make him feel at ease. The option of going green to exchange housekeeping for a drink is a great idea.

At breakfast the hot food had started to be cleared at 9:50 on a Friday when breakfast was due to close at 10am. We did ask for some bacon and eggs and were told that breakfast ended at 10am but once we mentioned that it was only 9:50 we were told they could bring some and this was brought out after a ten minute wait.

large property, rooms were lovely (two doubles beds in a family room for two mother daughter couples was perfect). staff were without exception lovely and accommodating. especially the manager at breakfast who helped out by finding some extra fruit and pasties when they had run out due to unexpected guests)..

the spa/pool want what I was expecting for a spa hotel.. it’s not the sort of spa hotel where you walk around in your robe, more of a family manger shop kind of leisure centre / pool that happens to have a spa facility on site. the thermal suite did have nice sauna and steam room but only two loungers so want really suitable for spending any time relaxing, just swim, sauna, shower repeat and then get dressed. I feel they could make more of this area and even put some loungers in the main pool area.

Room was like most hotel rooms, inadequate lighting and no full length mirror. Location was excellent and facilities excellent Breakfast on Saturday was served well with friendly staff Breakfast on Sunday - buffet was the same as Saturday but not enough staff on duty. We had to ask to be brought our tea and coffee. The milk jug on our table had not been replaced and when we asked for milk we were told by a male operative to get it ourselves from the buffet table.

Bed was uncomfortable and hard Air conditioning unit did not appear to be working toilet was far too low

Everything was great and I was delighted with my stay bar on issue.

Being challenged several times publicly (which was embarrassing) by Phillipe - he claimed that my friend and I hadn’t paid the supplement for our breakfast. We explained that we had and my friend had to produce evidence on his phone of the payment. He challenged me on the actual room price and stated to write figures and calculations down on paper - in front of other guests. He was persistent. Eventually another member of staff informed him that he had paid on arrival. This marred what was a good experience. Perhaps he requires further training in customer relations and that loudly verbally challenging guests in front of others is not acceptable.
