Very friendly, big enough room, situated in a good place , breakfast excellent

Pillows, far to hard, even with 3 or more, couldn't get comfortable, beds standard, windows on outside needed cleaning very dusty covered in dirt. Television needs replacing, poor reception, only 2 channels worked. Kettles needs descaling, bath mats needs replacing , very dirty on back of them , bath plugholes needs cleaning , net curtains needed at large windows, people passing by can see straight in , shops across road can also see in, didn't understand why there was no net curtains or blinds as well with the actual curtains at front rooms of hotel looking out at the road and carpark. Decor standard.

Good quality breakfast , friendly staff ,really accommodating , seems like Jamie was doing everything .

Initially we were disappointed that the restaurant was not open in the evening we arrived and we were not informed but Jamie pointed us in the direction of food outlets and said if we wanted to bring back our takeaway he would provide plates and cutlery which he did . When we finished he cleared up all the rubbish so nothing was too much much trouble .

Location was good and had everything I needed. Large breakfast choice and was delicious. New carpet in room. Comfy bed.

It could do with a lick of paint here and there also the windows need updating as the view from outside gives a bad impression at first. Cleaners - kettle still had water in from previous use. Only one toilet roll provided all weekend. Also the Sunday morning fire alarm at 7am got me up earlier than planed as could not get back to sleep so and checked out at 8am

The beds were comfy and the rooms were a great size. We have a triple and we had plenty of room. Staff were lovely

On entering the building, it smells like something passed away a long time ago and it is hidden under the floorboards. We genuinely had to hold.our breathe in reception area but the smell.didnt seem to follow us up to the rooms. The decoration of the building with exception of the room were likely decorated in the 80's

I asked for a quiet room and was given the end of the corridor. Perfect. Staff were amazing; friendly, helpful and very dog friendly. Very reasonable £10 per stay dog supplement, unlike some hotels with a daily surcharge. Free parking on site. Very close to food and drink and retail outlet. Glastonbury just a walk or bus ride away.

Central heating didn’t work very well but I was given an electric heater.

Fab location, a vwey short walk away from clarks village. All staff were friendly and accommodating. Lovely place to be able to take the dog who was given lots of attention and they were able to seat us (away from the food) to enjoy Breakfast with the dog. Lots of parking spaces. The rooms are brilliant size and was able to accommodate my mums mobility scooter still with plenty of room.

One of the beds the slat catchers had broken, so occasionally the mattress at the head would dip.

Room was perfect with a great shower which I had requested. Staff were so very friendly and helpful. The one facility that let it down was the tv some days you could watch all of itv channels and others days would only play bbc channels..most odd. Breakfast was a treat. It allowed for me to only choose cooked items I would eat…still praying black pudding will make a come back to menus in all hotels not just this one. Breakfast service was efficient but always with a smile too..wonderful. I ate dinner once at the hotel as the menu was very much reduced which I can quite understand as the hotel was extremely quiet. However service again came with friendly communication and smiles.

Tv signal..I’m a news hound so not being able to have bbc news on was a pain. No black pudding at breakfast

Useful to have an iron and ironing board. Comfortable bed and plenty of space. Convenient location. Helpful staff particularly when I had to check out for an 5.15 am start

The bath plug was too small! Disappointing as I was looking forward to a bath after my day of yoga. Was very hot in the room as heating set too high and the window didn’t open.

Room was very spacious and well appointed. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast variety again good and food freshly cooked. Bar meal in the evening was excellent and good value. Friendly attentive staff. Parking arrangements for guests was again good.

Felt that the room lighting was a little bit on the dim side for me especially for reading.

The Wessex Hotel has a great location in Street. Close to everything as well as Clark's village. Very reasonable rates with a lovely breakfast included and friendly staff. Room was a good size with a big modern TV which was lovely. Also the windows opened all the way which I liked. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.

Bed was on the hard side but I think everyone has their own preference. Also we were in room 212 which has a few houses overlooking. I think some blinds would be handy due to this as there are only curtains.
