Room was lovely, very comfortable bed Staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly and the food in the restaurant was excellent, I would come back for the meal alone. Breakfast was very good although my husband was slightly disappointed that there were no pastries available.

Unfortunately our room had not been hoovered properly and there was a fair amount of dust and hair on the wooden floor. This, however, was quickly resolved once I advised staff about it. Pillows were a bit too soft bit this a personal preference more than anything.

Staff excellent Room clean with water, coffee, tea and bathroom amenities Breakfast good

Not for anyone with restricted walking abilities, no lift and lots of stairs! Shower cubicle lacking in adequate cover making to impossible to shower without water going on the bathroom floor. Pillows far too soft Could hear people in next bedrooms tv and water running at 1am! Breakfast felt rushed as always looking to clear away plates and juices and milk kept in bucket of ice cubes which meant water everywhere and difficult to hold bottles

The bedroom was lovely and spotlessly clean - we had everything we needed however the left curtain rings were broken/missing so we tried to fix it the first night as it wouldn’t close over. The second night we couldn’t get it at all that was the only wee niggle but nothing major! The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating from the minute we checked in to departure. All staff were friendly, courteous and very attentive. Couldn’t fault the service and breakfast was delicious - great choices to suit everyone. We would definitely be back to stay at The Balcomie Links Hotel and Crail where the hotel is situated is a really picturesque wee fishing village and we loved exploring the areas around Crail. Lovely few days away. Thank you.

Breakfast selection was excellent but as a serious coffee drinker l would have preferred a freshly prepared coffee rather than filtered. Also a proper hot chocolate would have been preferred by my daughter.

A lift would have helped with the luggage. Although staff had said we could ask for help. The first night we came back from dinner with friends at 10.30 pm, the hotel was locked, night porter was not in reception our key’s would not open the identified door the phone number went to answer phone. Eventually a member of the bar staff heard us knocking.

Clean room and bathroom . Good shower.comfy bed. Slept well. Good choice of breakfast. Excellent bacon and scrambled eggs!! Motorbike parking in front of hotel in car park. Secure as very quiet town. Good position to explore the lovely town of Crail . Reasonable costs for bar food. Reasonable prices for drinks too! Good storage space for bike gear!! A big thanks to Alex and brent for looking after us!

The staff were very friendly and the room was perfect for a short stay

The curtains weren't on the rail properly so it was difficult to close/open them at times. The breakfast options on the first day of my visit had dried fruits and yoghurt, which was ideal as I don't do fried breakfasts or cereal, but this option was missing on the other mornings, sadly.

Lovely hotel, very clean, fresh contemporary look had a recent renovation. Customer service was great, the staff was very friendly and they made it possible for us to stay an extra night (even tho the hotel was closed officially). The breakfast is delicious - freshly cooked full Scottish breakfast, egg royal, egg benedict etc. Comfortable beds. The hotel is a short walk to Crail harbour and close to the Fife coastal path with picturesque beaches. Great stay if you're going to a wedding at the Cambo Estate in Kingsbarns. Hopefully we will be back one day.

The en-suit shower room is small and water gone on the floor when showering. It was hard to communicate with the hotel via booking.com messaging.

Really liked this place. Great renovation, nice breakfast and handy for food and a drink in nice surroundings. Our dog was welcomed and parking was easy. Very clean and the housekeeper was very attentive. Would definiately stay here again. Lovely village to wander around.

Nothing. Slightly pricey but you get what you pay for!

The breakfast was fantastic! Staff very friendly. I didn’t catch the name of the guy who booked us in also served breakfast, very professional. Room was big light & airy, comfortable bed & pillows nice rituals toiletries.

Hairdryer didn’t work but was replaced as soon as I told them.”Should have been checked” before new guests arrived! Not enough hangers or drawers, very minimalistic Lovely bathroom but could do with a shelf for toiletries.
