Our room was surprisingly quiet given the amount of people that were in the restaurant of the Inn the night we were there. It was extremely busy but our room was great. Very comfy bed. Although it is a little out of the main town, it was still within walking distance for us, so we didn't mind. We easily walked to the St. Andrews Clubhouse and back seeing all the sights in between. But take a rain jacket in case of an impromptu rain cloud:)

It's a shame they don't offer breakfast but we knew that at the time of booking. It would be great if staff could recommend some breakfast cafes, as local knowledge is always an advantage

The location was a 10 minute walk to the central. Getting to golf required a taxi. The food in the city was excellent. The people were helpful and very kind. I was visiting the University and the faculty were delightful.

We tried to get a taxi from the hotel to golf at 7:45 am and it arrived at 9am. Two taxi companies said no to even try to come, and the third said it would be an hour. Was not prepared for the wait however it turned out. I recommend scheduling your taxi pick ups prior. We did that going to the airport and it worked great.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The room was nice and quiet, despite being above a pub and facing a road. I had a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed, and the temperature was nice and cosy. The room was spotlessly clean and the shower was consistently a nice temperature. There was a nice vacant car parking spot on the road outside. On the tea and coffee tray were some biscuits, a lovely treat.

It's a shame St Andrew's is so expensive, but that's not the fault of the hosts - in fact their accommodation was very reasonable compared to the local hotel rates.

Rooms very clean. Everything I needed. Including an iron, a blow dryer, shampoo, even a tea and coffee tray with kettle and biscuits, tv. Very very clean. Someone came in everyday and made my bed, fresh towels as needed etc. Didn't expect that. Proximity to the main streets of St Andrews is very good but a 10 min walk or a cab if you don't have your own car. You can park right out front-another plus. There is a bar on the other side of the building and you can get food certain days.

I have stayed twice. The beds are not very comfortable for me. I can feel the springs. A topper on the mattresses would solve that problem. Wifi didn't reach my room which was disappointing (I was upstairs) whereas the first stay it did.

The New Inn was so sweet and special, it was far away from the busy streets of St. Andrews - (which was a good and a bad-see below). It was steps from the water and a yummy little food spot, The Cheesy Toast Shack! It was so fun to be at the beach and see all the families playing and so many dogs!!! Such a beautiful setting! The room was spacious and was serviced during the day, so that was nice!

It was far from the main streets, we did a lot of walking and it was difficult to navigate the buses. The communication wasn't great, I had used the messenger with booking.com to ask some questions and didn't get any responses. We wanted to leave our bags after we checked out so we could stay in town a little longer, no one responded to our messages or a phone call.

The inn was quiet and peaceful, even though there's a bar downstairs you can't hear it in your room. Liked the front door access so we didn't need to walk through the bar every time we entered/exited the Inn. Bar staff were friendly and drinks we all priced too.

The building didn't open until 4pm on the day we were arriving. We knew check in was 4pm but had hoped we may have being able to drop our luggage of earlier in a safe place perhaps but all the doors were locked.

Loved the size of the family room Location was excellent-10min walk into town, less than 5 mins to East Sands beach Staff very friendly Bathroom good size Good food

The single bed was very uncomfortable-could feel the springs in the mattress which then gave my wife a back and shoulder ache plus not good sleep. Lucky the double bed was large enough and comfortable enough so myself, my wife and 8yr old could fit in it for the 2nd night and get some good sleep. It can get noisy from the jukebox in the pub but it closes at midnight.

Very friendly staff. Checkin was at the pub and we were a bit worried that it might be noisy, since the room was above the pub and next to a street, but there was no noise at all and we slept very well. The room was nice and clean. You can park diretly in front of the inn on the side of the street and also on Woodburn Terrace, which is only a 1min walk. So it is no trouble at all, that the inn has no assigned guest parking. If you walk down Woodburn place you are at the seaside in 2-3min, which was wonderful.

Very well equipped, clean and comfortable rooms, given access to come and go as I pleased which was hugely appreciated The staff were amazing, so friendly, and couldn't do enough to help me This isn't the first time I've stayed here and certainly won't be the last. May be more expensive than the premier inn, but it's all round a far superior experience and is so much closer to where I need to be when I visit

It was clean and comfortable. The room was located downstairs, to the front. I thought it would be noisy when I saw the location of our room. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. We had a lovely lunch, the food and the service were good.

It would be good if they could offer residents breakfast.
