Great location! We were able to walk down to The Old Course and the Jubilee Course for our tee times. Cafes, shops, historical sites and of course the famous Dunvegan were all a short walk away. The breakfasts were top notch! Beautifully presented, delicious, fresh with a big selection of cereals, hot menu items etc. Too many items to list! Sarah, our server, was just so delightful and gave us a great start to the day with her lovely smile and demeanor. We will be back!

Our room was downstairs and didn't have good air flow. We weren't comfortable leaving the window open at night in case some critters found their way in and of course for security reasons we closed it during the day. No air conditioning from what we could see/experience.

Great location as the Albany Hotel is near the beaches, cathedrals, and the castle. Literally all the tourist attractions in St Andrews is just a walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast is unlimited and fulfilling in such a way that you can get away without having lunch. Breakfast included different fish varieites, English breakfast, different cereals, fruits, milk, and so on. There is a cozy lounge where I was reading. It is warm and silent in the night. There are a variety of books about history, for example Celtic Britain, fiction, etc. There was a man; I am not sure whether he is the owner, asked me whether I enjoyed my stay while I was having breakfast. When I said that I was leaving St Andrews the next day, he said that he wanted to make my last day special. I was moved by his kindness. The hotel is a family business and I like the staff there. During night St Andrews was cold but when I entered the hotel, it was a new world. I felt like home. The interiors are beautiful, cozy, and importantly, soothingly silent. There are paintings hung inside. The price for one whole day was about 100 pounds but it was completely worth it for the location and the experience. So I would recommed anyone coming to St Andrews to stay here.

A charming Georgian property in the heart of the town. Cosy, friendly welcome, and a nice quiet room at the back. I would describe our room as a small double, fine for 2 nights.( Room 5). Nice complimentary toiletries ( Sea Kelp). Would like to try the breakfast next time. Would be perfect for graduation visitors, facing across to Younger Hall.

The en suite shower was clean and functional but a very tight squeeze! The handle has been fitted inside the glass shower door, so fiddly to open it, as it pulls outwards. A quirky feature! No shelf in, or outside shower to place items, not a deal breaker though! Authentic cobwebs on the chandelier!

Lovely staff, great location. For the price the room was very nice. The bathroom was small and pillows were thin. So if you're fussy like us, bring your own neck health firm pillows (this will not apply to most people! We're just picky after using Tempur for years)... the hotel is gorgeous. Lovely quaint feel , excellent breakfast and very nice staff. Thr location couldn't be better... you can park for free in the road, but get there early and wait around to find a space.

Just the pillows! The bathroom was tiny but we didn't mind. We did pay double the usual price due to it being half term. But that's to be expected. Otherwise all good

Quintessential Scottish! The decor was precious and having three beds with lots of room was perfect for our group. Adorable terrace off the room allowed for an outdoor experience. The location was in the middle of everything yet on a quiet section of the town.

The room was warm and we had some boisterous neighbors enjoying their terrace late night so leaving the French doors open to cool the room was no ideal. The temperamental shower was an experience!

The room was very small but very cosy with a very scottish style, with coffee- and teamaker and with waterbottles. It was located in the second floor (you have to climb a steep staircase). We ever live in The Albany Hotel, when we are in St Andrews. I think, that is a good reputation.

We love the hotel with all its nice, friendly and cosy features. For somebody the rooms might be to small, we like it. We do not have breakfast in the hotel. That is not so tasty. We use "The North Point Cafe" 200 meters away in direction to the cathedral or "Pret a manger" in the market street.

The location was spot on for the golf courses and accessing ST Andrews at night. The staff are lovely and breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. The room was very clean and as I stayed on my own adequate in terms of size, I would certainly stay again.

Nothing to quibble about really as it ticked all my needs and expectations.

We ask to get into room early due to us going to a wedding which started at 1pm this could not be guaranteed but you did it for us so a big thank you

There was a small bin that would barely hold anything in the toilet but not one in the room itself, we didn’t use tea & coffee facility but I noticed other guests must have had to use the toilet bin for their tea bags as the floor was stained with tea in the bin area in the toilet.

We managed to take advantage of the free parking spaces located outside the hotel, which was a bonus. The weather was nice the day we arrived, so we were able to make use of the garden area, to the rear of the hotel and have a few drinks, while enjoying the sunshine. There’s also a nice little bar area inside, which we also used when there it started raining briefly. The rooms were clean and tidy. The three different members of staff that we encountered during our stay were all friendly and helpful. There was plenty of choice with regards to breakfast and we all enjoyed the food chosen.

Nothing. Everything was fine.

The location was excellent, and the check-in was fast and efficient. We had breakfast, which we would recommend, it was lovely. Rooms were very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, balcony was an added bonus. Small bar in the lounge, which had a good range of drinks and snacks.

Rooms were a little cold at night, but there were extra blankets in the wardrobe. But nothing really to complain about at this hotel.
