Superb location, breakfast was tasty, helpful staff in the restaurant, free car park adjacent was helpful. Walking distance to all main attractions and easy driving access to golf courses. Pleasantly surprised by choice of red wines. Easy access and secure access to rooms. Room size typical of pub with rooms.

Lack of food choices for dinner, three out of first four choices unavailable, after having been told two other options were off the menu. When the food did arrive, it was okay, and in complete contrast with the breakfast which was tasty We decided not to have dinner there on our second night and I'm afraid ate dinner somewhere else, which was a shame.

Breakfast was very enjoyable and had a good number of options, both continental and hot. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great location right in the middle of town and close to everything we needed. Was very nice and convenient to have the pub right downstairs from the room.

Duvets were a little heavy in the rooms so we needed to sleep with the air conditioner running through the night. Also couldn't figure out how to run water for a bath and ended up filling the tub with the shower head, which wasn't ideal.

Very nice fresh-cooked breakfast and a nice dinner restaurant too. We had a nice large room but not much of a view. However, the hotel is situated in a central location in St Andrews within easy walking distance of the R & A and the golf courses; the Castle and the Cathedral, as well as the beach and the University. The hotel bar was a popular spot and there are many nice restaurants close by.

Nothing really, it was all good, we even had bright, if somewhat chilly weather while we were there.

Very big room with a sofa and armchair, desk chairs and large TV. Warm, freshly decorated. It was an attic room with Velux windows and no view, the quality of the room made up for disadvantage.

Limited meals available at the bar, we chose to eat out. Breakfast was OK, not brilliant. No beans available on the first morning, no pancakes or egg available on second morning. Shower wasn't great, on a mixer tap from bath with no thermostatic control. Shower head bracket was loose.

Was really pleasantly surprised by the room! It was a great size, clean. The bathroom had two showers which was also great! Food as always was excellent, we did already know this from previous visits which is why we booked. Staff were attentive and accomodating. I stupidly left a really sentimental piece of jewellery from my wedding and they called straight away when we were on the road and posting it out to me. We will definitely be back! Don't hesitate to book this gem.

The room was beyond expectations, location was perfect and every member of staff was extremely friendly and overly helpful. Food was fantastic whether breakfast or dinner, we will definitely be back.

Nothing I can think of. We had a fantastic 3 days and the staff, premises and location played a huge part in that. When next in St Andrews this is our go to place. Definitely value for money and will be recommending it to family and friends.

Room was very big.and it was extremely comfortable having comfortable sofa and chairs to sit on and tables to have drinks and snacks comfortably at your hand ,the breakfast was lovely and a lovely choice,the staff were extremely kind and the young man in the breakfast room couldn’t be kinder,the housekeepers done an amazing job and were kind , chatty and professional while doing their .this was our second visit and will definitely be back

We have no negativity about our stay

staff very friendly and welcoming, went out of their way to help, service was very good, Restraunt clean and tidy, and food is excellent. We had planned a big family party there and the manager Matt went out of his way to make sure tables were postioned how we wanted them. Everybody was served food at same time. No delays, food piping hot and delicious. To all the staff, a very big "Thank you"

The staff were exceptional and really made our stay. Craig who checked us in and out was very welcoming, Dorothy and Fiona looked after us extremely well at lunchtime and again at breakfast. They even kept us a table to have pre dinner drinks before we headed off to another restaurant for dinner! Our room was extremely spacious, immaculately clean and very quiet.

Parking was an issue. Although the hotel is next door to a public car park there were no spaces available despite going round the block a good few times. I had been advised it was first come first served in respect of parking and as it was graduation day the town was extremely busy.

I have stayed many times and enjoy every aspect , staff , service , location , pub food . all very good

I have stayed at least 15 times at property on past 6 years . Prior my most recent stay , they replaced all the bedroom furniture except the hanging and shelf space. So there are now no drawers at all in any of the rooms, only tables. the rooms used to have bedside cabinets and chests of drawers and desks with drawers Now, no drawers . this is inconvenient for a longer stay and makes the room cluttered as everything is lying all over the place , and only a tiny bedside table top to put things on and a desk too Not a positive upgrade at all . I advised management but presume it was a Corporate Green King decision . it is a bit disappointing after it always has been so lovely
