The apartment was breathtakingly beautiful cannot fault! Even though the pictures are beautiful the apartment is even more stunning in real life! You could ask for a better location absolutely perfect

Only problem was I didn’t want to come home! Is was beautiful. Cleaners come in every day around 10am so be aware as they nearly got an eyeful of my other half I’m sure this is communicated somewhere that we missed but just so you know haha and if booking late check out would just double check that it’s been logged as you do this separately but 0 faults amazing accommodation xx

These apartments are 5 star in every way. They are located in the heart of the town close to all the shops and restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the beach and golf course. They have a secure key code entry system which allows you entry through the gate and into the building. From the minute you enter the building everything is immaculate. The staircases are carpeted and walls decorated with art. Lovely smelling throughout. We hired The Retreat which is a one bedroomed luxury loft apartment located at the top of the building. It is amazing. Very unique in design. Extremely spacious with every home comfort and utility you need. At one end of the apartment there is a lovely comfy large bed with beautiful fresh cotton linen and a choice of pillows. There is a walk in cupboard which doubles as a wardrobe and utility space. In the middle of the apartment is the kitchen with a table and chairs. Well equipped with every utensil you need. It has a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. The other end of the apartment is the lounge with settees and TV. The apartment is long so each area although open plan feels like a separate room. There is a shower room and toilet with complimentary Arran toiletries which smell lush. A real treat. I highly recommend these apartments. Nothing to fault about them. They are excellent and the location is so good as you are the heart of everything. We will return.

Not a criticism but just to note that the staircase up to the apartment is quite steep at the top level. Something to consider if you have mobility /health issues

We have been to this property before and it’s absolutely picture perfect if you want to visit somebody at the university which we do, our son lives five minutes away, it doesn’t get any better.

I like everything about this property, it’s safe, it’s clean and it’s luxurious in a way that rented apartments really are. It’s also got really good advice for those who travel and visit plus it’s easy access once you know their system. It’s not cheap but nothing in the centre of St Andrews is.

I called a number displayed at the entrance and got a human being (!) straight away. He was very helpful, gave me the code I needed to enter and that was that. SO easy. Wish all places to stay were like that.

I liked everything about this place. I have nothing to add (it would of course be great if somebody served you breakfast - that you could pay for that, but then again, it was very clear that this was a flat, and not a full service hotel.

Once we found the accommodation and navigated our way through the security coded gate/door we we delighted with our exceptional room. Extremely clean and spacious with traditional features. A fantastic shower and coffee machine was a bonus. The heating was most welcome and we had to turn down both radiators as it was too warm for us ultimately.

Being opposite the student union building it was a little noisy late into the evening/early hours but I'm a light sleeper and I would still stay again at the rate we paid.

The location was great! Close to bus station, shopping and restaurants. Very clean and nicely decorated room, comfortable bed.

No communication with the rental agency! I asked questions about the possibility of early luggage drop-off and got no answer. I asked about the use of the laundry facility, and it took them over 24h to respond. However, the agency was very quick to ask for our passport and credit card numbers in order to check in online. We did not like to share our credit card information with the third party, as this reservation was made by booking.com. The apartment was located on the 3rd floor with no elevator, which was not disclosed in the description. Hallway doors lacking stoppers and next-door tennants and cleaning staff woked us up with loud door slamming every morning.

Super clean, well equipped and comfortable. Beautiful decor. Comfortable beds.Great location although can be a bit noisy at times.

Check out at 10am???? I had to pay £10 extra to be able to check out at 11am. Cleaning lady at the door at 11o’clock! I find that a bit cheeky when the flat is already expensive.Most hotels have a midday check out. We were in St Andrews for a birthday party and went to bed late the night before. We felt we had to rush in the morning. For that only reason I might consider a hotel next time. The other flats in the property didn’t seem to be occupied so I don’t understand the very early check out.

No. 1 Apartments in Mary’s Place are in the heart of St. Andrews, everything can easily be reached on foot. We were advised to park in a nearby parking lot, which is free of charge, it is just a five-minute walk away. Street parking is available, too, at 1,10 GBP per hour. There are two buildings with apartments all rented by the same owner, one facing the street while the one we stayed in (no. 9) was in the second row behind a small courtyard with chairs and tables. Our apartment came with two bedrooms with each a large double bed, two bathrooms (one of which had a shower) and a sitting room with a small kitchen with dishwasher, oven, fridge, Nespresso coffeemaker and tea kettle. The bathrooms all contained high quality toiletries (refillable). Everything looked new and well-kept, the only issue we faced was closing the door to the courtyard which was so distorted that it was almost impossible to get it shut. There is no reception on site, all doors are opened with a 4-digit code provided before arrival (it’s the same code for all doors, including the one to the apartment itself). We found the concept of a serviced apartment in the middle of St. Andrews very comfortable.

The place is gorgeous, very tastefully decorated, super comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, a wonderful experience overall. We spent the last night of our 1 week trip in Scotland here and, after having seen a series of 4-star accommodations in various places in Scotland,, this was by far our favorite. Needless to say the location is perfect, right on the main street of the town, close to every nice restaurant and shop worth visiting. This place really feels like a home away from home and not a hotel, we loved it.

The only part we didn't like was the check in process - we were supposed to get an email with all the instructions, but that email never arrived. We called the property owner and got help pretty quickly though, but a smooth check in process would have been preferable.
