From entering the building to leaving, everything was exceptional. Let me explain why. We were greeted with a warm, friendly greeting from who we later found out was the owner of the business. We were shown up to our room ( Anne) all the rooms are named after queen's. The room was a large double room with onsuite. All facilities are available from hairdryer to tea and coffee. We had booked a table for our evening meal. The food was all homemade, good-sized portions, and cooked to perfection. It was nice to be in a bar where there wasn't any TV or music blaring so people could talk. Drinks were perfect as well. Nice to have a real ale pub. Bed was comfortable. We had a great nights sleep. We went down for breakfast, which has a large selection of cereals to choose from. We had the full English with both tea and coffee. The food is cooked fresh every morning by the owner, so please wait patiently as the wait is worth it. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. The price for our whole weekend was a lot less than we were expecting just because of the standard, I was amazed it was as cheap as it was. We will be booking again later in the year this time for longer and with friends. It's definitely worth staying at. Just for the owner, we loved the tomatoes ( she will understand). Thank you for making us feel more like family than just guests.

Nothing. Everything was perfect.

This is one of those places where you can feel the owners take considerable pride in really maximising and caring about their guests' experience. It's a family run business and it shows. For example, we arrived after food serving hours (because our car had broken down) but Louise asked us if we were hungry and made sandwiches and chips for us especially - like you would family! The bed was huge and very comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean, quiet and well equipped - again clearly there had been thought put into what any guest might need. I had the best night's sleep in a long time! Breakfast was great (full English plus cereal and toast) and the recommendation for a local garage extremely helpful! Thank you for a extremely pleasant stay. We will return at some point with a fixed car, so we can explore the beautiful area surrounding the Queen's Head like we had originally planned!

All fantastic!

The food was amazing, we had an evening meal the night of our stay and my husband said the wagyu burger was the best burger he's ever tasted. Breakfast was served quickly after ordering and was amazing. The venue itself is lovely and cosy, very inviting and a lovely atmosphere. Our room was very cosy, warm and clean, plenty of tea and coffee and other drinks options like peppermint tea and hot chocolate sachets which I thought was a nice touch. All the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We will definitely stay here again

The only thing we have to complain about is the bed was a little hard for our liking

Lovely quiet location in a pretty village but still only about 20 minutes drive to all amenities of Harrogate. Our host was so friendly and professional - she made us feel very welcome. We stayed in Jane and had 2 excellent nights sleep. Large comfortable beds. Good Wifi. Lots of parking. There was an extensive bar menu and the food we had both nights plus the breakfasts were superb. We would definitely return.

One small thing is that the first night was very warm - I think our room was directly above the restaurant (no noise though which was great). We left the window open during the day and the second night was perfect. Just a really tiny thing though and all down to personal preference.

The location is great being out in the countryside. A very small village and very clean. Landlady and family and staff were very helpful caring and considerate. The breakfasts were great and included in price. Also serve lunches and evening meals which are delicious and have a good choice. Its a family run pub off the beaten track but don't let that put you off. It has a big car park and is bigger than you think with enough room outside for entertainment in summer. We are definitely going back. Its not far from Harrogate Skipton RHS Harlow Carr Knaresborough. Bolton Abbey and Fountains Abbey. Also excellent for walks nearby. We saw plenty of ramblers. .

Excellent food would recommend to anyone. Due to road closures we were later getting there than planned, despite this the food was kept ready even though the kitchen had closed by the time we got there. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially when on arrival the twin room turned out to be a double. This was quickly sorted out with no problems

Room was too hot for us but soon sorted by turning heating down. Unfortunately room had high windows so unable to open them for fresh air but soon sorted with a walk before breakfast.

We received a very warm welcome when we arrived before being shown to our room. The room was very spacious with good views of the Dales. The bed was nice and big and super comfy. We were lucky enough to have good weather during our stay and sitting outside in the sun with a beer was great - lots of outside space to enjoy. Our cooked breakfast hit the spot and we didn't leave disappointed - all in all a great stay.

The only slight disappointment was the poor shower pressure.

This is a superb place to stay, this was my second visit and not my last. Accommodation cosy and very clean. Food excellent and freshly cooked. Staff welcoming and extremely helpful. My visit this time was to celebrate New Year's Eve, and the pub looked amazing re Christmas decorations. An extra bonus was the firework display for everyone to enjoy at midnight organised by The Queens Head. This is a truly a lovely place to stay anytime. A big thank you to Louise and all her staff.

The Queens Head is a great little pub in a great location. The rooms are very spacious, clean and warm. The host was great, she showed us our rooms and I felt like she really wanted us to be there. We had booked a table for 4 for evening meal and we were not disappointed. The menu was great with lots of choice and the food was delicious. Breakfast again was great, everything you would expect there to be and cooked lovely. There is a large car park at the back and the village is lovely and only 12 mins from Harrogate.

It was the King's Coronation weekend when we stayed and there was live music on in the afternoon and evening. This wasn't a problem at all until it went on until 1.30pm with a few drunk people trying to spoil the evening and being very loud which kept us awake. We have been assured it isn't normally like that and they were extenuating circumstances.

We were greeted with a warm welcome on arrival. The staff were friendly and couldn’t go enough for us. The atmosphere in the pub was lovely and the locals were welcoming. The breakfast was amazing with tasty ingredients and a good variety.

Only one thing. We expected a double bed however we arrived to two single beds pushed together. The mattress was generally comfortable but with the two beds shoved together there was a hard dip in the middle which was a little uncomfortable.
