Very nice country pub with helpful friendly staff. Large rooms with plenty of space. We stayed as a group as we had entered various parts of LCW Yorkshire - quite a travel to the start but not the pubs fault as the event moved the start after booking accommodation. All of our requests were accommodated and everything was really nice.

The rooms are spacious (king) rooms but are a little dated and just need updating but saying that they did have everything in them that we needed. The only negative was the noisy people outside until early hours when we needed a good nights sleep to be up early to race.

It was outside Harrogate on our way home so it was ideal. It wasn’t as expensive as Harrogate being quite a bit away. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we had booked to have dinner that night which was delicious. Slept well. It was quiet.

Unfortunately the next morning’s breakfast let this place down. It was poor. Different staff. The poached eggs and toast came as dry toast with one poached egg and some butter on the side. The waitress said she’d told the chef to put two eggs on. That hadn’t been done. More pride needed in the presentation.

Upon arrival I was greeted by a lovely member of staff who couldn't of been more helpful. She kept a smile on her face the whole time and made sure she had explained everything and checked if I needed anything else while I was there. I hadn't prebooked a table for a meal but they were more can welcome to accommodate me and made sure the table they gave me was to my liking. The food was amazing and the breakfast the next day was very filling. I arrived the the dark but in the morning seeing the scenery was amazing. It is perfectly situated.

Room was airy, very clean and spacious. Facilities provided were very good. The breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. The staff were warm and friendly, nothing was too much. Beautiful building in a lovely location and would have no hesitation about staying again.

The bath mat... mat seem trivial but it did not stay put and both my husband and myself had slips and minor accidents when it moved as we were either in the middle of a shower, or getting out of the shower. Would suggest it needs replacing with something a bit heavier and more traditional.

The management and staff were helpful, welcoming and efficient. My bedroom was clean, well equipped, spacious with super views. The breakfast was overall fine and well prepared and cooked deliciously. That said, my preference for fruit was unfulfilled. The reception and bar areas both inside and outside were clean, tidy and presented well. Yes, one will return to stay as it is good value for money. I would recommend it definitely.

Apart from the lack of bowls of fruit at breakfast, nothing else springs to mind.

A cosy and welcoming venue. All the staff were friendly and approachable. Extensive, great fresh quality menu. Catered very well for Fluten free options. Room was clean, smart and well presented, would definitely stay again and will be sure to recommend, great place! Great sports room and very dog friendly. Huge car park and lovely grounds with plenty of outdoor seating.

My only tiny gripe would be to offer gluten free sausages on the breakfast menu, but not a complaint by any means, just a suggestion

This was our second visit within a couple of weeks, and and I'd paid a bit more to get a larger room, which was very comfortable. The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly, in the main, and we really enjoyed our stay.

When you've paid a decent price for a room and for a meal, you don't expect one of the staff to start putting the chairs on the tables around you at 10.10pm. I found that a bit rude; its a long time since I've seen that tactic of encouraging you to leave, particularly when you're a resident, being banished to your room by 10.30pm on a Saturday night. It's little things like that which tarnish a visit. Also (this is a minor thing which is fixable) within two hours of making the booking I received 6 emails from the Inn via Booking.com. That's about 5 too many. A lot of the information was duplicated, and some of it was contradictory. One of the emails asked if we were still coming to the Inn!

The room was larger than expected -- very quiet, very comfortable. We had an evening meal, which we really enjoyed, and then sat in the very comfortable bar area; open fire, oak furnishings, a very old fashioned style that is so warm and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is in a very pleasant area, and easily accessible. Certainly an Inn we would visit again.

Nothing to complain about, nothing at all. I've genuinely considered this as the questionnaire wants me to write more! So, Doe a deer, a female deer; ray, a drop of golden sun; me, a name I call myself; far, a long long way to run. There, the IT is satisfied and has turned green.

arrived late evening, got shown to my room, the room was warm, very clean, great decor, facility to make tea and coffee and biscuit provided, clean and tidy bathroom, my room also had a three seater sofa nice and comfortable. I had an evening function elsewhere so didn't have an evening meal there. had a great nights sleep in a comfortable double bed. breakfast was excellent, the lady serving really looked after myself and other diners very well, ( great coffee). Im not one for city stays, so the Wellington Inn was a great rural place for me to stay. will defiantly be staying there again, only next time I will be taking my wife. all in all 10 out 10 from me.

Very friendly, helpful staff always with a smile. Cosy hotel with a good sized room with all the amenities needed. Had a lovely meal on New Year’s Eve and the food was really delicious. The staff are there all the time making sure your dining experience is just how you want it to be. Breakfast the following morning was equally as good and freshly cooked with lots of choice.

Can’t really fault the Inn apart from as we were leaving a family arrived for breakfast with a large Alsatian dog. I don’t think dogs should be allowed in dining areas and wouldn’t have felt comfortable if I had still been eating.
