Clean rooms and bathrooms, tasty breakfast, comfortable bed, great showers. Liked the fan in attic room (needed!)

TV and wifi didnt work in one room and staff unable to fix. Fortunately we were able to use it in 2nd room for children being looked after by grandparent. Younger/ newer members of staff need more training to handle issues relating to booking and payment system and facilities when main manager is off site. We had queries re room pricing and wanted to speak with someone in the morning about issues tv/wifi previous evening which staff were unsure / unconfident how to handle.

The breakfast was great i really appreciate that if you asked to swap items for other items you like they were more than happy to do so for example i dont like tomatos so swapped mine for an extra sausage which was great for me....the staff were very nice and helpful....also a clean room everyday with new towels without asking they do care for the people that stay...and of course the lovely yorkshire tea and kettle in your room to get you started each day a lovely place to stay and i will be going back for another visit

If there was anything the mattress was to firm but thats just my view my partner said she was really comfortable.

Location is right in the centre of Holmfirth so couldn't be easier from an access point of view. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was superb. The pubs below are also good.

There are no car parking facilities and so you need to use one of the local pay and display car parks. The annoying thing is that the charging period begins at 8.00 am and there is no carry over from the day before, which means you have to get up and go to the car park before 8.00 am to put a ticket on display. - this might not suit everyone and didn't strike me as visitor friendly by the local council.

Lovely spacious room. Comfortable bed.Crisp white bed linen and towels. Shower was great. The room was very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was especially good. The young man( Sorry we did not catch your name ) who served breakfast was so pleasant .Always appreciated! Excellent location across the road from the Picture drome. Nice touch with a kitchen available for guests to use too.

The only thing was the room was cold.The radiators seem to be set so you can not turn them up. Not a huge problem to us ,as we didn't spend much time in the room.And once under the duvet it was cosy.

Stayed here a couple of times. The rooms are nice and clean with all the facilities we need. Staff are helpful and friendly. The hot water was not working in the room when we arrived so we reported it to the staff and it was dealt with very quickly so it wasnt a problem. Property is in a great location being so close to the picturedrome. We will definitely stay here again.

The only thing we don't like about the nook is the breakfast. The quality is good but the portions are very small. Not what you want after a night out. If I could book room without breakfast I would but there was no option for this when booking.

Location was fantastic. Room very clean. Price of room was very high.

Breakfast I preordained a gluten free vegetarian and they replied with email saying they could do it . When it's came to Breakfast they'd not bought or made anything gluten free then my Breakfast came with bacon on so I took bacon off tried to eat my scrambled egg which was over cooked and dry baked beans tasted cheap and cold jst couldn't eat it even my partner who never leaves food actually left his ... Breakfast needs rethink coffee was vile 2 strong and cold

The lady who checked us in was brilliant. Explained everything we needed to know. The room was very spacious (we had the family room) it was well equipped. Our room overlooked the entrance to the pub, there was a little noise at kicking out time but soon dispursed. The bed was very warm and comfy though my other half who is 6ft only just fitted on the bed. The bathroom was very nice too. Everything was cleaned to a high standard.

Because the floors are laminate they make quite a lot of noise. The people above us sounded like they were tap dancing at 7.30am which we really didn't appreciate! Maybe a rug in the room would be a good idea. The breakfast portions could do with being twice the size and the coffee made stronger.

Second stay here and another lovely room, book in was quick despite a festival being on, great location and a lovely breakfast. Can’t wait to go back!

Fire alarm went off in the morning but was turned off shortly after, which happened when we stayed the first time, must’ve been coincidence. A little louder at night before the bars shut but there was a festival on so no real complaints with this, particularly as you’re booking rooms over a bar/pub.

Location was perfect, the staff were lovely & very helpful. Our room was exactly as described and it was a great size. We had to request a hair dryer and when we got back from a short walk it was already in the room.

Our room was just above the entrance to the pub and so was a little noisy at 2am. This was not a major problem for us as we got in quite late following a gig, but this could be an issue for others.

The hotel was amazing had everything you needed and more, has a communal lounge with tv & games and fully fitted out kitchen with fridge & microwave all cooking facilities for you to use! The room was fantastic. Breakfast was really lovely & the staff were just lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Best hotel we have stayed in in the UK. Parking 200 yards away and very cheap. 5*

Could not fault in any way.
