The location right in the town. The vegan breakfast was great. Staff busy but friendly and efficient. Room very modern up to date. Lovely toiletry items I was tempted to nick but didn't lol. Good range of tea and coffee biscuits etc.

I was expecting a bath so was pretty disappointed to have a wheelchair type wet room shower. Had no idea I was getting that when I booked it didn't say. It was next to outside bar area quite noisy at times although we did go out later. The bottom grouting in shower area needs a proper clean its got pink mould growing. We were in the newer building I'd have preferred to stay in the older bit personally.

Breakfast was delicious, with good choices. The Hotel Manager is phenomenal, well past “above and beyond”! The only problem :We first given a handicapped room. We had reserved a standard twin bedroom many months ago, but upon arrival, the handicap room is all that was available. Luckily, after one night we were able to switch to the standard room for the last three nights. The handicapped room would’ve been OK, but there wasn’t even a shower curtain around the shower, making for an extremely wet bathroom. Perhaps I can be rectified!

See above! Upon arrival, we did not get the kind of room we had we requested.

Breakfast was very good value with options for continental style plus full English. Very pleasant surroundings and friendly service. The room was excellent with modern style en suite facilities with plenty of soft towels and cleaning aides. As it had been so hot at 30 deg C, the management had put in a large fan already running. The bed was comfy and spacious. Dinner was very good and relaxing with excellent service, eating in the bar area with easy chairs. I treated myself to 3 courses which proved of excellent quality, being also able to see the calorie content.

Staff were very helpful and I was delighted to have my request for a quiet room with bath met without fuss. Toiletries supplied were lovely. I particularly liked that they were in refillable bottles, not small throw away plastic containers. Food and drink were delicious. Loved the enormous bed.

First impression of the room wasn't great. The first thing you see when you open the door are big chunks missing from the paintwork on the wall. Also thick layer of dust on the bin in the bathroom (enough to draw a smiley face - sorry, I'd had a drink or two). Strange, as the rest of the room was spotlessly clean.

A lovely hotel and in a good location. Bedroom was very clean and bed comfortable. We didn't arrive until 20.45 and staff were very welcoming on arrival. After unpacking we went to the bar/restaurant which was busy but staff seemed to be able to cope well with both the dining room and bar. Lovely comfortable seats to sit and enjoy our drink.

The hotel let itself down at breakfast. For some reason there was only one member of staff to deal with all aspects of the breakfast ie taking orders, getting extra toast and coffees etc. This resulted in breakfast being slow. However, to be fair when the breakfast did arrive it was woth waiting for. The only other critcism there was a handrail missing on one of the landings whilst climbing upstairs to our room. It would have been very helpful if it had been fixed.

The cooked breakfast was the best I had in all my travels. Bed the best in my travels, so comfortable. Excellent shower, warm, and good space to put this out. Bedroom was a little small, but adequate, made up for by the excellent bed. Meals, taken in the bar are, were acceptable, but of, for me, some limitation, in choice.

Parking not easy to find, and I had a strange email about paying for it, but it seems the parking, in the station carpark, as the hotel does not have it's own car park, is free. Recception for the hotel is not the most obviousl to find, in the bar!!

Good breakfast, friendly staff, lovely canal walk to Great Bedwyn, good real ale, old building with character, convenient for the rail station.

We were warned, correctly, that the Superior Rooms with double bed (ours was 104) face on to the busy main road. Bring ear plugs if this bothers you. Noisy plumbing. Our booking.com information stated that bathrobe and slippers are included in the Superior Room, but this was not the case: not a big deal, but better not to raise expectations.

Great location easily accessible to meet people by car or by train. The ambiance in the main bar restaurant area was great both day and night as guests switched from coffee and cake to drinks and evening meals. Great selection on the menu for multiple-night stays and the breakfast was very well cooked/presented. The staff were really friendly checking of you needed anything but not so much so that you could not relax. Would definitely recommend.

People seemed to have to wait at reception as staff were doubling up and not everyone was able to check someone in. Shame the fire was not lit - not even sure if it is used but would make a lovely feature. There was also some confusion as to if parking was possible or not although the car parks close by are reasonably priced. The room was over multiple levels and quite small so make sure you ask when booking if you have any mobility challenges.

This is a really pleasant place to stay, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the food and drink in the restaurant is good quality and good value, Breakfast is superb and the location is perfect for walks or shopping.

The room we were allocated was on the front of the hotel and due to the fact that the outer sash window was stuck open the noise from the road was obtrusive and sleep disturbing, the room was otherwise very comfortable and nicely finished.

The manager was a real breath of fresh air. Always helpful and happy. Room was very clean, and facilities were fine. Breakfast was ok, but poached eggs a little over cooked. Dinner was better than expected, as we don’t normally eat At the hotel, but good basic cooking, and value for money, and A really good kiwi Sauvignon blanc !! Perfect location in the centre of town. Free parking was important for our booking, but not that clear How to get in on arrival, maybe some information when booking On where to go to park. Will book here again on our next visit.

No serious gripes, other than stated above.
