The room was comfortable and ready upon our arrival - the lady on reception was lovely to deal with and very helpful. The bar space was also comfortable, with a range of seats and sofas available. The spa facilities were good. The waitress who was working the restaurant on our second night (9th April) was excellent.

The menu in the restaurant was quite expensive, particularly the Easter menu which was on offer whilst we were staying. We ate from the menu on the second night we stayed, and whilst the starters were good, the main course of bacon chop was lacking in any real substance and included only a few pieces of sweet potato. The bread accompanying the parfait was also not enough for the portion provided. These are small gripes, but when paying as much as we did for a menu with limited choice, we expected better. The drinks menu also seemed expensive, particularly having just come from another Marriott Delta hotel - despite being the same chain and us ordering the same drinks, this hotel seemed to charge more.

Jack at reception provided excellent customer service, from a phone call the day before arrival was a pleasant surprise to meet him at the front desk- very friendly and professional, sweets for the kids at check in was a lovely touch

I wouldn’t publicly post as I think the hotel is brilliant- if we’re in the area again we will be back! (At the kids request!) but some things in the room were a little tired- grouting in the bathroom discoloured, hair on the bed.

Air con didn't cool room sufficiently so extremely hot in room. Ordered room service one item out of stock however after trying room phone twice to tell reception discovered room phone not working had to go down to reception and tell them item was missing & phone not working. In morning had to repeat phone in room not working as night staff not logged it. Was offered a free drink for our journey as a good will gesture.

The hotel itself is lovely. Very clean, staff were friendly and the rooms were great. Beds were comfortable and there was complimentary tea, coffee and a very large TV with over 50 channels.

Breakfast is a rip off. £18.50 per person and the cooked options were very limited and not particularly tasty. The first time in my life I haven't been able to finish a piece of bacon!

Good spacious and comfortable room, with usual facilities. Good bathroom with shower that worked well. Tea/coffee making facilities good. TV good. Breakfast was good quality food and plenty of choice, with broad opening times. Dinner was good tasty food. Car parking was plentiful and free.

We would have liked a fridge in the room, expected one for the price we paid. The dinner menu was a little lacking in variety, we ordered pasta from the room service menu but there was nothing in the restaurant menu to tell you the room service items were available in there too. The wifi appeared to be chargeable, so we used our own data allowances rather than pay extra for wifi.

The rooms are nice, functional, parking is at the hotel, you should have a car, as the hotel is not close to anything nearly. Breakfast is good, english style, from a buffet, the staff is friendly and helpful.

The rooms are slowly aging, visible on the furniture, carpets, equipment, etc. If you take a room on the ground floor near the reception, close the separation doors at night, else its a bit noisy. Sleeping in is impossible, as by 8am the cleaning crews start, very noisily. Bathrooms have a shower curtain, no cabin.

The hotel decor and furnishings are very attractive. We stayed in a superior room which was large with a very comfortable bed. The restaurant and bar areas are spacious, and we enjoyed the food, especially breakfast. The garden area outside the restaurant is also quite lovely. I wanted to stay an extra day in order to use the pool and spa as unfortunately, we didn’t have the time. Really, this hotel has everything I want in a hotel for a stopover or short break, and is excellent value for money.

This was our second visit to the hotel in less than a week. The only minor downside is that the menu is rather limited after you have eaten in the hotel three times. Maybe offer daily specials as well?

Have stayed before it’s close to where we needed to be it has good facilities.

Some of the guests where noisy and when we returned from our day out our room had not been made up this was because the reception said they where saving the planet little unsure how making a bed and replacing dirty coffee cups and refilling the coffee and tea is saving the planet.

The breakfast was excellent. There was an extensive buffet with a huge selection and food available to order also. There was a choice of plant based milks and a good range of gluten free.

The choice in the restaurant for dinner was limited and more like bar food. There was very little gluten free which was a problem as one of my party was coeliac. Therefore we went elsewhere for dinner.

Room was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower is powerful. The staff were extremely helpful. The bar menu is limited but the food quality was very good. I didn't use the main restaurant for my evening meal, so cannot comment on the quality or choice. Using the bar food as a benchmark, I would expect the restaurant food to be of equally good quality. Breakfast has a wide variety of choice and was freshly cooked.
