The owner (Joe) and staff are all exceptional hosts. The food is excellent, as is the choice of draft beers (inc Heverlee). Entertainment on both nights was first class. This was our second stay and we will be back again. No hesitation in recommending this friendly hotel to others including friends and family.

Breakfast was Great! Shower was great. We are not a fan of duvet without a top sheet, so consequently either sweated or froze all night. The staff seemed very disinterested and bored except one local chick (in her 50s?) who was very chipper . Not a place to recommend too highly but ok.

Dinner was very average. Both of our meals were "ok". The hotel advertised award winning restaurant, but that certainly didn't come through with our meals. Frozen peas and corn for vege??? Sort of dried chicken and crusty other things. I asked for a sauce just to get some flavor. I've had worse meals, but certainly I've had better!

Nicely decorated family hotel in a very good location. Room and bathroom very clean. Wonderful breakfast. Night porters and day receptionist were very friendly.

- Breakfast staff could be more warm and welcoming, a tiny bit of small talk would have been appreciated. - not the hotels fault, but a very misbehaved family on the same floor were banging against their room door (he seemed to have locked her out on purpose) and shouting at each other until 2 am (by this time the night porters were alerted and reprimanded them and thank God after that they were quiet. However, as we didn't get enough sleep because of this, we couldn't do the hike up the stairway to heaven the next day and we had extra come all the way from County Limerick to do it.

My partner and I were attending an event close by so the hotel was perfect for this I have mobility problems and had asked for a room on the ground floor, It was excellent with a large bathroom suitable for anyone with disabilities Bed was very comfortable Large spacious room Had an evening meal the night we arrived and the food was delicious and value for money. The parking was a problem The car park at the rear was full, I have a blue badge but couldn't get in to park, although they only have 1 disabled parking space as I found out later. We had to park further away which for myself who has problems with walking was not great On arrival and granted we were early the receptionist was not very welcoming She was folding sheets of paper and continued to do so while we stood waiting then left I assume to give them to someone while we still stood there, not very professional Having worked in the hospitality business you just don't do this or you say to the customer " Sorry I will be right back"

Breakfast was lovely,no complaints & staff were very helpful.

With our meal in the bar area we ordered a btl of wine & also lemonade.When it came the lemonade was warm & I asked our waiter I wanted it chilled.All waiters & waitresses were exceptional but the barmaid that attended to the our young waiter was so rude to him that I felt I had to go up & sort it myself.I did & her attitude changed completely when she realised I had heard her comments.Otherwise I had no complaints with any other staff members.

shower in room could do with updating, it is a fixed head above a bath, as a lady with curves I prefer to use a shower that can be removed from a holder to wash oneself; the liquid dispenser for the shower is fixed so high at only 5’2 I struggled to reach it to use; other observation (room 108) there is a rubber bath mat which was very grubby and needs replacing (they are very unhygienic and are old fashioned to use) the rest of the room was however spotless

Room was fantastic. Very spacious, beds were so comfortable, powerful shower. Breakfast was included in our deal and the quality, quantity and service were all excellent. We also dined in the bar one evening and had a great meal. It was quite busy which created a great atmosphere.

There were some works going on. Wasn't too intrusive and there was no noise until mid-morning by which time we were heading out. This should have been advised to use before booking.

We visited for the new year and were telling our friends how amazing this hotel was we loved everything from the staff to the food to the locals. We had such amazing craic and banter with staff and locals. The price of the hotel is such good value and the price of the food is great value for money. The food is sooo good and great portions. We are already trying to plan our next trip back love this place so much.

The staff in this hotel are excellent. Very friendly service. We were attending an event at a local yacht club and didn't get to the hotel until very late. They confirmed by telephone that this was ok, and the lovely lady on reception turned her car and directed us to the door, took us in and booked us in, and this was despite her being on her way home ! And she was there at breakfast time again. Lovely room. will definitely be back.

The staff where out of this world, couldn't do enough for us. It was such a warm and cozy inviting hotel. Food was out of this world.made to feel so welcome. Would like to say a special thank you to a lady member of staff(didn't get her name) but was very tanned, just back from holiday..she is an absolute vital part of the hotel and a credit to you. Loved our stay here .
