This is a 200 year old building and comes with its creaks. It was comfortable and clean. I stayed four days. There is no air conditioning but there are fans in the room. The temperature was fine without the air conditioning. There is no elevator but staff were happy to take my luggage upstairs to my room and back down when it was time to go. There is a pub below the rooms but I was not bothered by any noise. They have a variety of food choices in the restaurant/pub. I was in room 8. The staff delivered a continental breakfast in a basket outside the room. And they were liberal with the towels. There were very small bottles of body wash, and shampoo and conditioner combined. If you need more then all you do is ask. A kettle with a tray of coffee, creamer, sugar, and little cookies was in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. Bathroom was very clean. Train station is about a 15 walk from the hotel. Even though ALL the staff were friendly and helpful, James really stood out. We had great conversations about our countries. I’m from the USA. When it came time to go, James dragged my luggage all the way to the train station. I had heavy luggage with only two wheels so it was not easy to move around. James recognized this and to prevent me from struggling with the heavy bags, he dragged them to the station. I would stay here again.

I was in room 8 and just couldn’t get a WiFi connection. I told Justin, the manager, and he did call the IT people but it didn’t do any good. He even gave me his personal access but i just couldn’t get a signal in room 8. I was able to connect on my iPhone to someone else’s free WiFi at times. If I did manage to get a signal, it was very weak. I had to go downstairs to access the WiFi if I wanted to do any business in a timely manner. I think that was maybe a blessing because I was able to talk to the staff for company.

Nice room. Clean. Lovely bathroom Facilities. Food was very good.

Would have liked supplies ie tea to be restocked on second day. The breakfast was delivered outside the room at late night. It was ok but didn't show up on second morning. Don't know if someone took it or if was just not delivered. There was no one there in the morning to ask. Also when we left it was just leave key on hook by door. Not secure so anyone could have come in and taken something after we had left.

The room was clean and well presented and of a good size. More space than I expected. Decor a bit dated but quirky with the original ceiling beams, so it tied in, which was nice. Clean bathroom with a good shower and some toiletries provided . Tea and coffee facilities. Continental breakfast provided which was ok. Filled a hole until we went to a cafe across the road. Overall the room was what we needed. Bed was comfortable and a bonus being a king size too! Some people complain about parking, but parking was cheap at £3.40 for 10 hours and only a short 2 minute walk. Its free from 6pm-8am. We arrived 12:30pm, paid parking 10 hours which covered until 6pm (5.5 hours), free 6-8, and then from 8-12:30 next day (4.5 hours)! Can't comment on the area really as we stayed for a wedding so we we were in and out on arrival and bed, up and out next day. The gent who checked us in was lovely and friendly, walk us all to our rooms (travelled in a group) and answered questions we had.

Although the milk was in cool packs for the continental breakfast, as they were put out at night, by morning it was warm. Being over a food establishment, a cooked breakfast really could be introduced. Could do with adding some bottled water to the room.

The location was perfect. Once checked in we got taken to the room which had everything you need for your stay including the usual tea and coffee facilities, tv and lovely shower room. The room was lovely and clean. The room was quirky with old beams and uneven floors which is to be expected. Staff were lovely especially the lady. She couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast hamper was a lovely touch for the morning.

Check in took a little while Mattress was very soft (memory foam) but that’s just my preference. Doesn’t do a hot breakfast but there’s a nice corner cafe over the road from the pub and other shops etc.

Lovely room. Spacious and well decorated etc. ideally located for the town centre, restaurants and bars. Also Tatton Park is just 3 minutes walk away. Staff were very nice and helpful.

These are just minor issues for us which could then give top marks. Windows hardly opened and it was a very hot weekend. Although a fan provided did help. There’s no lift. And we appreciate not possible due to the age of the beautiful historic inn we were in the top floor with quite heavy bags. Breakfast is a little disorganised. Left outside the room the night before. No nice coffee/teas. Just room kettle. We would have preferred option of slightly cheaper rate without breakfast to have been available. As then we would have gone to the very nice next door cafe for breakfast.

Lovely rooms, great location, car park was cheap enough, food was delicious and reasonable priced as well as drinks. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Nice area to have a walk and mooch around shops and other pubs. Definitely would book again.

Would have preferred a cooked breakfast but was not essential. The room became was extremely warm whilst trying to sleep, so a fan in the room I'd recommend. Shower leaked onto the bathroom floor tried to move the shower head but it still happened. This didn't upset our stay however as was only small things.

It’s central location- very convenient to walk to shops/restaurants and bars! beautiful building too! rooms were pretty basic- comfortable and clean- no frills. bathroom was lovely- looked like it had been recently decorated and refitted. very creamy floorboards- Hope no one was beneath us as we were up very early! staff were very friendly on arrival too!

Rooms were pretty basic. No parking but there was a pay & display nearby and you could park for free from 6pm- 8am if you could find a spot!

Everything about the venue was pretty much spot on, great surroundings, welcoming staff, comfortable room with everything you'd need, and good value for money.

If i'm being honest, the only thing I believe could be improved is making a full cooked breakfast available. In accommodations that are situated in or above eating establishments i feel this should be as standard. Although the continental breakfast provided was better than nothing, it's not really to my taste.

I loved the size of the room which was very comfortable. Great location in the centre of Knutsford and I thought that the breakfast box was a good idea. Plenty of towels provided and top up tea and coffee.

The staff were wanting in basic hospitality skills. When my husband and I was checking out I mentioned that I was a bit surprised that check out on a Sunday was 10.30. The girls reply was curt and rude and my husband said she had been the same previously. We had had a fabulous weekend in Knutsford but after this unprofessional attitude we decide to stay elsewhere next time.

Location was brilliant- very central so walking distance to a lot of restaurants. The staff were very friendly when we checked in. Room was lovely and very comfortable, and the shower was spacious and spotless. The actual pub was very cosy.

Breakfast was a small hamper with a packet of pastry, cereal and fruit. There were no staff around in the morning to ask if anything was required. Check out was 10.30, and we managed to get this extended to 11.15 which was when we needed to leave for a funeral, but it probably could be an 11am check out.
