This property was excellent from the minute we walked in to be greeted by James the excellent bar staff, he was so courteous and informative and welcoming. Thereā€™s also was a another you g girl bar staff who was all so lovely. The rooms where comfortable and clean and the bed was so comfy. We where there for a family wedding in Colshaw hall and the location was excellent. Parking was good even though we had to park in a car park 5 mins away it was still easy to park and bring in our luggage. The staff where amazing thank you to you all.

There was nothing I could say that I didnā€™t like about this stay. The property is an old building and quirky which I loved and it had many creaky floorboards which would be expected, but our room was 1st floor and through doors to other rooms and very early in the morning it was very loud with the constant creaking floor past our room and from rooms above as guests walked around their rooms, including ours, which couldnā€™t be helped and it didnā€™t spoil our stay. Just a thought maybe for the property.

This is a nice pub with a separate portion of the building with rooms. I found the room comfortable and clean, the staff is really kind. I liked that they give you a little breakfast basket to take to your room and they provide fresh towels daily (I think? I was only there for 2 nights). I also had dinner at the pub one night and it was delicious!

I got lost trying to find my way back downstairs! There are indications on the walls but itā€™s not the easiest to get around upstairs with lots of doors and stairs. In the room the only thing I didnā€™t like was the floor, very very creaky. I suppose itā€™s an old building.

Warm, comfortable bedroom. The hotel is right in the centre of town which is really good for restaurants/shops etc. Small breakfast basket in the morning. Didn't eat at the pub but it looked good. Parking wasn't a problem for us, Sunday is free and we parked on the street outside the hotel until 9am Monday.

As with most old buildings you can hear corridor noise, room noise from above, and our room was over the bar, so we could hear bar music. Quietened after 9 PM. Nothing to do with the hotel but aeroplane noise is something we are not used to.

Location was perfect, friendly staff, lovely little continental breakfast, good facilities I.e hair dryer, Kettle. very comfortable bed, t.v. Clean, towels and soaps available, lovely decor easily accessible even when pub was closed. I felt safe as a solo traveller.

I was on the first floor, room 3. Everything was perfect apart from the extremely noisy floorboards, I was worried about disturbing the neighbours and I could hear them moving around too. You can hear everything from downstairs during the day. I arrived back in my hotel around midnight and even though the downstairs pub was closed I could hear loud band style music, not sure where it was coming from, may have been a near by pub. Was woken to the sound of roadworks right outside my window at 8am which understandably was not to the fault of the hotel however I noticed road signs on my way out so it would have been nice to have been pre warned by the hotel on my book in date. There was also rips in the bed sheet but didnā€™t affect the comfort.

Clean and comfortable room with ability to open the window for fresh air. Location in town excellent. Restaurant very good. Complimentary breakfast a nice touch but would have been better to ask guests to collect in the morning as milk included which although put in a cool bag would not have kept cold in the summer.

Plain croissants would be a better option than pain au chocolate. Not sure cereal and milk a good choice but would be okay if breakfast collected am.Orange juice would be a good addition if again breakfast could be collected am and OJ cold.

What a great stay with the Angel, King Street, Knutsford. The communication and help from the staff even before we arrived was perfect. Happy helpful attitude for our stay. It was a great size room with a lovely bathroom and we had the chimney breast in our room from the fire below in the restaurant; so it was cosy and warm even with the plummeting temperature outside. The restaurant/ bar food was stunning and as someone with a Dairy allergy I had lots of vegan options. Don't be put off by the lack of Breakfast; as they leave a breakfast basket outside your room - which I thought was lovely. And if you need that fry up (even a vegan one) you can head minutes away to 'The Tea Room' 73 King Street for all your hot breakfast needs. Also don't miss out on The Tea Rooms all day service and the loveliest fresh (dairy free if you want) cakes and bread. Both Hotel and Tea Room were a real find and we will definitely go back.

The other guests kept letting the door at the top of the stairs /to the hotel rooms slam which was on the other side of our bed head - but did not go on too late or often - just surprised me when it did happen.

This is a 200 year old building and comes with its creaks. It was comfortable and clean. I stayed four days. There is no air conditioning but there are fans in the room. The temperature was fine without the air conditioning. There is no elevator but staff were happy to take my luggage upstairs to my room and back down when it was time to go. There is a pub below the rooms but I was not bothered by any noise. They have a variety of food choices in the restaurant/pub. I was in room 8. The staff delivered a continental breakfast in a basket outside the room. And they were liberal with the towels. There were very small bottles of body wash, and shampoo and conditioner combined. If you need more then all you do is ask. A kettle with a tray of coffee, creamer, sugar, and little cookies was in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. Bathroom was very clean. Train station is about a 15 walk from the hotel. Even though ALL the staff were friendly and helpful, James really stood out. We had great conversations about our countries. Iā€™m from the USA. When it came time to go, James dragged my luggage all the way to the train station. I had heavy luggage with only two wheels so it was not easy to move around. James recognized this and to prevent me from struggling with the heavy bags, he dragged them to the station. I would stay here again.

I was in room 8 and just couldnā€™t get a WiFi connection. I told Justin, the manager, and he did call the IT people but it didnā€™t do any good. He even gave me his personal access but i just couldnā€™t get a signal in room 8. I was able to connect on my iPhone to someone elseā€™s free WiFi at times. If I did manage to get a signal, it was very weak. I had to go downstairs to access the WiFi if I wanted to do any business in a timely manner. I think that was maybe a blessing because I was able to talk to the staff for company.

Greeted on entry and carried the bags for my partner, whilst I was still on my way. The location of the stay was just perfect, live music in the bar area downstairs was brilliant .. just a shame we didnā€™t eat there because the food looked just as great ā˜ŗļø Also the lovely woman that let us go back to bed with the late checkout was even better! Overall top stay, highly recommended and will use again next year for my works do šŸ‘šŸ½ *****

The location of the pub and accommodation was great and easy to find. The thing that struck me the most was just how friendly the landlord and the barman both were. As a woman travelling alone with work they made me feel very comfortable. I thought the room and facilities were very clean and nicely decorated. The. Lovely basket of continental breakfast was a very lovely touch and the dinner menu was very good with an amazing selection. I had lovely Moroccan chicken kebab and it was really delicious.

Nice room. Clean. Lovely bathroom Facilities. Food was very good.

Would have liked supplies ie tea to be restocked on second day. The breakfast was delivered outside the room at late night. It was ok but didn't show up on second morning. Don't know if someone took it or if was just not delivered. There was no one there in the morning to ask. Also when we left it was just leave key on hook by door. Not secure so anyone could have come in and taken something after we had left.
