We were are group of 5 and brought our bikes. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and the staff couldn't be more helpful. It was a Friday evening when we arrived and the bar/restaurant was very busy but the staff were very patient and accomodating and even though we were a bit late for our dinner booking, the staff took it in their stride. The food was lovely too. The first time we stayed we had a room at the back with a huge newly refurbished bathroom and this time we managed to get a room at the front with a lovely view over the firth of Clyde. We would definately recommend this hotel.
Very minor complaint; the quilt on the bed was far too warm and could have done with a lighter one and maybe a blanket in the cupboard if you had travellers coming from warm countries. It would also have been good to have refillable wall mounted soap and shampoo rather than the small single use plastic ones.

Had a great room with a view. The bed was huge and super comfy with nice quality sheets. I was visiting family over Xmas & NY and popped there for a bit of space hehe. The macaroni cheese was the best we'd tasted in a long time, felt like a traditional recipe that my gran would have made. The right amount of sauce to Mac noodles, and unlike over priced London averageness we experience on a regular basis living here. We loved it so much we had it twice! The staff were super lovely. Felt like a really tight ship ran place and just really wholesome, having travelled the world and stayed in both high end and more basic - I would just sum up this was a great value for money, well thought out and cared for hotel with brilliant staff. Would definitely stay again and bring other family members!
There isn't anything I could say I didn't like tbh.

What a fabulous little hotel in an exceptional location. On arrival, the two gentlemen on reception were incredibly friendly and helpful (with parking and finding an atm etc). They even upgraded me to a sea view room (the view was spectacular). The room was large, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom is a little tired and the shower took some fiddling with before I managed to figure it out but that’s probably more of a me problem than a them problem. I struggled to find a socket for the hairdryer which was close enough to a mirror so I had to dry my hair ‘blind’. I’m scraping the bottom of the barrel here though, it really was outstanding value for money

Stuck at last moment for accommodation and access to a ferry terminal, went to booking.com. Took a chance on the Spinnaker. Was very keenly priced , so to be honest was a little apprehensive. But, was pleasantly surprised of the warm rooms ,food and drink on hand.
It’s niggling really but has a twisty stair case up to the rooms you must take care on and you must pass by the other customers at the bar with your luggage as you enter. Having said that, the staff did offer to help me upstairs with it.

Well appointed single room with TV, Kettle and Ironing board. Good quality solid oak furniture. Beautiful view. Very friendly staff.
I would have liked a towel rail in the bathroom as there was nowhere to hang/ dry the towels which meant that they had to be replaced after one day. The room and bathroom paintwork needed a bit of refreshing but this was minor point. I would have liked some information in the room regarding the hotel facilities, menus and local information.

great position, right by the shore of the Clyde estuary (which is stunningly beautiful). the room was pretty good, the bed was excellent size and comfort, the view over the sea was spectacular and we even had a clear sunset! The staff were friendly, helpful and competent and timely during our meal. The food was good - there’s loads o& stuff with chips if that’s what you want, but the pasta was good and my wife had a hot smoked salmon salad which they happily upgraded from a starter to a main.
if you don’t like parking in the road, then that may be a problem for you, but not for us, we had two good bikes on a rear rack, the people and place feel safe.

We loved the location as we looked onto the waterfront of River Clyde with hills in the distance. Very pleasant walk north or south along the waterfront. Public parking available very close to hotel. Helpful staff who booked us a taxi to attend concert at nearby Greenock. Excellent breakfast next morning with a good choice. A small shopping area with some interesting shops and a few restaurants and cafes about 1.5 miles north. There is also a public swimming pool! A ferry service go across the Clyde to Dunoon. Beacons Art Centre in Greenockh hold concerts; we attended a concert of the Scottish National Jazz Opera performing with Mugen Taiko Japanese Drumming group providing culture of a high standard!
Can't think of any. We were very happy.

We had a lovey room at the front with views over the firth of Clyde. The bed was super comfy and the breakfast was well cooked and presented. We also had dinner and it was enjoyed by all of us and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
We had to sleep with window open as it was a warm night and it was a wee bit noisy from traffic. Could have done with a lighter duvet or a blanket in the cupboard so that you could just use the sheet with a blanket.

The friendly informality of the hotel. First class food and an excellent room with superb bathroom. Staff were helpful and always available to assist. The location and views across the Clyde are breathtaking
Very difficult to assess. Perhaps lack of off road parking. However parking in front of or alongside the hotel was more than adequate . Had a rear bedroom with view into a yard

This is our 3rd stay in 2 years and we always pay extra for the view as it’s well worth the money to wake up to each day. Its on the front with a view across the Clyde to Dunoon. Gourock is a lovely little town with nice eateries and boutique shops leading round to the Battery Park. It’s always clean and warm with TV and kettle facilities. The staff are great, so friendly and offer a fantastic customer service. The breakfast is in with the stay and who doesn’t love a tatty scone?! The evening meals are amazing too! We’ve booked our 4th stay already.
Nothing. It gets busy at weekends but that’s simply a testament to the service they offer so book tables when you get there! Another plus, you don’t hear the noise of the busy bar downstairs when your in your room in the evening.
