the hotel location served our plans very well. Also the interior design of the rooms and lobby/restaurant areas really added to the sense of a luxurious stay. the fact our two booked rooms were located next to each other was so helpful.

for the price I’ve stayed in better appointed hotels with much more attentive staff in prime locations in global cities, so I felt Seacontainers could do a little more to offer value for money. also one small point - I’m no prude but the idea of bringing my early teenage daughters to hotel rooms that offer ‘couples bedroom toys’ in the mini bar is not something I wish to deal with again.

The lighting in the reception area is too dark. We booked 2 rooms and ha dto pay 300 pound as bond per room, it should have been 300 for the booking.

It's a nice hotel with quirky decor.

A lot of families and breakfast was very busy; we had to wait for a table. The room was nice, pretty basic and not huge. I don't feel it was great value for money.

My husband and I traveled to London over the New Years weekend and booked a room for 7 nights. The location of the hotel was excellent with a variety of public transportation options. We were also able to walk to a number of sights. The room was very comfortable and well organized. The staff were very friendly and even though the hotel was very busy, we were always greeted with a smile. The best part of our stay was the Lyaness bar, the staff was amazing. The cocktails were amazing. At the end of our stay we felt like family. In my book that is a sign of an excellent stay.

I was offered an upgrade via email for a reasonable, additional fee which I agreed too. I got an email response back that my upgrade was agreed to and confirmed by the hotel. When checking in however, there was no record of the upgrade. The hotel was fully booked (it was New Years Eve weekend) and my upgrade could not be honored. This was a disappointment, though in the end, my husband and I were very happy with the basic room that we booked.

The hotel was in a perfect spot on the Southbank, the room and beds were perfect. We loved the spacious bathroom and shower. The house keeping staff were polite and courteous and willing to go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable, even selecting the lift for us.

Maître de( probably Italian) at the restaurant lacked humility, to the point of being rude ,more than self assured, and did not make us feel welcome at the restaurant. On one evening, housekeeping turned up at 18:15 to clean our room… too late. Wife was having a shower at the time and had to rush to finish.

Location is fantastic, the interior is five star and the staff and amazing. Outstanding breakfast buffet

The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring London, we especially love South Bank so it couldn’t be better placed! The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, amazingly clean and the staff are always friendly and professional. The rooms are fantastic and one of the things we noticed (and loved) were how quiet the rooms were, the soundproofing is brilliant; I don’t think we heard any other guests! The breakfasts are amazing with a massive choice of food all done to an exceptional level. It is pricey but you get what you pay for. This was our third visit and we’ll definitely return soon, we just need to save up a bit first!

It is pricey and when we checked out the invoice showed an ‘accommodation service charge’ which was £12.49 on the first day and £13.13 on the second day. I’m not sure what this was for as we left the ‘do not disturb’ sign on our door so no cleaning was carried out.

I have stayed here in the previous year and I just love the area. Right by the river and close to Borough Markets and walking is ok to Green Park, Covent Garden etc. I stayed in a River View room so there was more space and the bed was huge! Really great hotel for a stay in London. I used the gym and there was a good selcetion of machines to use. We also went across the road to the Rebel 1 gym which was so handy.

There was a good selection of food for breakfast but the hot selection was warm not hot- especially the bacon! Also would have liked to have a coffee without having to pay extra for a barista made latte. I feel for the price we were paying these should have been included in the breakfast. Also didnt like being asked at check out whether we wanted to pay extra as a "tip" for the door staff. This was about an extra 20GBP a day. We declined as have never been asked this before.
