reception brought my bags to the room once it was ready, room was super clean and tidy. Didnt hear any noise from my room and had a quite nights sleep. Location is 1 mintue walk from the tube station next to shops and bars overall a great stay

Incredibly clean! I’ve rarely stopped in a reasonably priced place in London that’s so clean. I was a bit worried about picking up the key as I’d been sent instructions reminiscent of a task on Crystal Maze, but it turned out to be straightforward. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were great. It is ideally located for the tube and there’s lots of supermarkets and food outlets around. The pub next door is excellent.

As others have said, it’s not for people who are bothered by the noise of traffic (I’m not). Ear plugs are provided.

This place is the cheapest we could find for London. We had a nice room with everything we needed. We found the fridge and the small kettle very convenient. The room was clean and the bathroom very spacious. The Hotel is about a 20 min train ride away from the centre. It was nice to stay in a less busy area. The area itself is not to bad either. It has a lot nice pubs and restaurants also supermarkets and a little Park. Everyting within a 5 min walking distance.

For some reasons you will constantly hear the train. We couldn't be bothered by it but you have to expect to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the train running.

It isn't within walking distance to any significant London locations, but it's close to an Underground station, and it's a great price for being so close to London. Clean and comfortable beds. The restaurant next door is noisy, but the owner provided earplugs. Overall, I would stay again whenever I'm on a budget.

Heating, but no AC. The shower drained very slowly, so we were limited to 5-10 minute showers before the water spilled out of the shower. The curtains aren't blackout.

The location was great for tube station and getting around the rest of London easily. We could park our car on the opposite street with no hassle with meters. The room, although on the small side, was very clean and well maintained, and they even changed the bedding and towels on a daily basis. I thought it was excellent value for money and had a very easy check-in and out system.Tea and coffee provided in the room and refreshed daily. Plenty of venues nearby to eat and drink plus local supermarkets.

The downside was the noise on a Saturday night. There is a local pub nearby and various other venues close by which attract revellers to the early hours. We were located on the ground floor so it was quite noticeable, even though the hotel had kindly provided ear plugs. I didn't notice any noise on the Sunday night so assume it is a weekend thing.

I recently stayed at this hotel and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! The staff was friendly and welcoming, always willing to assist with any requests I had during my stay. The location of the hotel was also ideal - 3min till underground. But what really stood out to me was how clean and well-maintained the room was. It was clear that the housekeeping staff took great pride in their work, as every inch of the room was spotless and smelled fresh. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay in the area. The combination of great staff, self check-in/check-out, ideal location, and immaculate rooms make it a top choice for travelers. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to the area.

The Gateway hotel is a little gem and great value for money. Located very close to Clapham south tube station which is brilliant. Contact less check in meant we did not see any of the hotel staff throughout our 1 night stay but this was fine as the instructions to pick up our room key were perfect. Our room was spacious and so clean, the bed was comfortable and we appreciated the complimentary ear plugs on the bed as our room was facing a busy road. We will definitely be back! 😊

Nothing - good value for money in London just be advised that some of the rooms face out to the main road which is busy. You can also hear and feel the vibrations of the tube trains (only occasionally) underneath so keep this is mind if you are a light sleeper as the tubes run late and start early in the morning.

Rooms were very clean, the position Is perfect, close to a very good pub, burger king, costa cafè and most of all at 2 Min. Walk from the underground. +/-20 min. Only to Leicester Square Even though most of the times we were in when the reception was closed we have never had difficulties in dealing with them and when chatting with them answers were very quick

The Wall under our Window...sincerely rooms 3 & 4 are different. Room 4 Is lighter, wider and more comfortable. in my opinion room 3 should be cheaper

Great location, easy to find as well. My third time staying there. Some of the rooms are huge but my room this time was an average size room (still bigger than most double rooms)

No lift and my room was at the very top so quite a few flights of stairs, i was able to manage but would of been nice for staff to offer to help, particularly as I was right at the top. But also not a big deal. My room was weirdly very close to another room. Apparently the rooms are sound proofed but did still feel guilty when playing music.

Great location, good storage, very pleasant room in an old building. Comfortable beds, and host was very responsive to a couple of maintenance issues. Nice grounds, even saw a fox late one night. Convenient to food places, superettes, train. Good pub next door , but you certainly didn't hear any noise from patrons.

Road noise, when windows were open ( no aircon), small shower space ( hard to turn around without hitting and opening door).
