The hostel is in a beautiful building, well facilitated, very friendly staff, and a nice part of London. I used it for the night to see a gig in the O2 Academy which is just a 15/20 minute walk from here. Very convenient and the cheapest place to stay in London that I've ever found.
The only downside to this hostel in my experience, was how loud it was at night. It is in London of course which is very busy, the road was loud through the night which made it difficult to sleep, but they do at least give you free ear buds! Also not the hostels fault but there was a long term resident in my hostel dorm, a polish chap, he kept farting throughout the night which was at first funny but when you are awoken by the thunderous caverns of this man's anal cavity on the hour every hour it soon became not so funny. Please help this man to have a better diet and lifestyle. God speed.

Good comfortable beds, very warm and they even put available another heavy thick blanket next to you just in case. As the bed frame is metal, they clank a little bit but that's alright. The lockers are not big and are not inside the room but as they are for putting your valuables, they're more than enough. As to why they're not in the room, it is because of security as the lockers are under camera surveillance and that's great. They have cameras in all the areas and that is great (they even have one aimed at the kitchen fridges to stop food thieves). The staff is very friendly. There's a free earplug supply in the reception lobby that is great for the light sleepers in the party nights the pub has (located underneath the hostel). The breakfast times are very extended so it allows big flexibility on vacation day planning!
The shower could be hotter but that's just a personal preference, so it's totally okay!

The location is near the Brixton underground station, under the hostel there is a lively venue with a wide set of music performances. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beds are relatively comfortable and the general stay is a great value for the money spent. They offer free towels, earplugs and basic breakfast. The hostel has a separate side entrance, which makes getting in and out a breeze. There is also a Sainsbury's across the road and a fridge / boxes in the kitchen where you can store your groceries.
The showers weren't the cleanest and they didn't have locks on them. Some beds are extremely squeaky, which makes it close to impossible to get up onto the top bunk without waking up the person underneath. The room also had poor lighting - there was just 1 weak light right above one of the beds.

Nice staff, a living experience in an Edwardian house, linen and towel included, good location to public transport and to an affordable market. "My" room was further away from the noice of the bar, I could sleep well with the earplugs provided. I liked the names of the actual guests written on the beds. In the kitchen, big plastic boxes are provided to store private food. Kitchen and fridges are big enough. I liked having the bathroom away from the room, so that the noice of taking shower or drying hair did not disturbe. Two types of tea are offered (black and ginger-lemon) constantly.
"My" room had only one lamp exactly above my bed (not in the middle of the room). Luminence was rather low, not enough to read. Breakfast is rather limited (toast bread, butter, jam, marmite).

It’s like a tardis in there - but brilliantly laid out and the facilities were great!! On needing a place to stay in London for after a concert I ended up booking this place admittedly as I couldn’t find anywhere else -I was dubious but hopeful and the price was incredible with breakfast included (toast /cereal/tea/coffee) plus you can cook your own stuff. We was met by a lovely girl who showed us all around, living room ,a great kitchen, laundry, showers etc and how to get in and out etc 3 of us shared with 3 other people in a basic room, bunks with quilts/pillow and as “older ladies” didn’t quite know what to expect - we had a blast! And met some lovely people in there Infact one of my friends was the problem because of her snoring!! Yes it’s above a very popular pub with loud music into the hours and we had the windows wide open for air but yet again my friends snoring was way worse than any music below!! Plus they supply earplugs.
Nothing to not like -it had everything you would need but possibly a little update on the shower room.

people is so friendly, helpful most importantly, like to smile, UK people. its their culture i guess. room is mix with different age, different background no backpacker dirty style. clean all the time. kind of quite even opposite main road and bar. simple transaction. i dont felt discriminate as an Asian tourist.
location. management should put signage, no food label will be throw or food for free next to the freeze. i lost my fruit quite a lot for my trip. which i so valuable as its my first time travelling to UK.food can be steal or whatsoever.

Very friendly staff always willing to help. They provide you with lockers and towels for free and there is a place to leave your luggage in order to come back to get them .You always start the day with a nice breakfast. It’s not at the city center but public transportation takes you there in 40 minutes. Beds were very comfortable and there is also a bar just beneath the hostel so you can enjoy a glass of beer with friends. Plus there is an event almost every night . Definitely recommend it.
Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner.

Amazing hostel, what a venue, vibe and location. Decent facilities (showers, bathrooms, lockers and rooms), they provide bfast and earplugs for the rooms and locked lockers. Just great vibe tho, and nice spacious place. Great location with the music venue/bar below and Sainsbury’s opposite. Stayed for a music festival across the road — best place u could possibly stay for it. Just walk a couple minutes and your back to your bed. Epic Just love the vibe of the place. Staff generally great too :)
Hard to find entrance if you arrive early: but just read the sign on the door to ring the bell and they’ll come down for you — now you know 👍

The location is brilliant, nice venue. Everyone I met & in my room seemed really nice. Quite chill. Kitchen, showers, balcony & common room free to use. Music downstairs was great from what I could hear & a pleasant vibe, can come and go as you please & little locker for any valuables supplied on check in.
Squeaky bunk bed & being on top, felt it was awkward as everytime someone moved it was rather noisy. No one sleeps. 2am lights still on, everyone chatting & coming & going throughout the night with music downstairs too…don’t plan to actually sleep. By time lights got turned off & people chilled out it was 3/4am and before you knew it sun was coming up and through the curtains relighting the room. But for the price & the location…I can live with it. Room stated no food to be kept in rooms…however everyone in my room had food or snacks all laying around. Not going to help with ‘pests’.

Spacious rooms with lots of natural light and ventilation. Not too many beds in one room like other hostels. A living room, fully equipped kitchen/dining room and a balcony. Small size / total capacity of overall hostel. Feels relaxed roomy and not too busy.
The bathrooms were a bit basic, old fashioned and rough around the edges. More modern high quality flooring tiling etc in bathrooms would have been better but they were good enough.
