The location, staff and cleanliness was fantastic! The check-in and out was fast, our room was even ready before the officail check-in time. The location is really great, literally one minute from the tube station. The room was clean and was cleaned/serviced every day during our stay, which was fantastic. I recommend this hotel.

As in some other reviews here say, the hotel could use some upgrade in decor/furniture, bathrooms and other, but we were aware of this when we booked the hotel so it did not surprise us. The only thing that really affected us was the showerhead (which needs to be replaced) and the bed was not to our liking; too "springy"/bouncy. When one person moved the other person moved like on a boat. But these things didn't really affect our overall stay experience. Other good things about this hotel weighed more than these things. But it's good to be aware of this before booking.

Great location as walking distance to the underground, a variety of restaurants & the Natural History Museum, etc.

Wish there were outlets at the bedside for charging phones (while using it) and not across the room. The pillows could be less firm, or have some options like some hotels.

Liked the view from 3rd floor window. It was clean and cozy. Nice firm mattersses. Fridge was good additive.

Children didn't like that there was no possibility to go under bed :D There was no toilet brush and the water pressiruse in toilet was minimal. Didn't like the window above the bathroom door which lit the hole room bright when someone in bathroom. The noise from street was quite loud in the morning.

Location, location, location. We booked primarily due to proximity nearby to the Royal Albert Hall (for a concert we went to see) but for overall London sightseeing it was also excellent. Lovely slow meander to Marble Arch through the centre of Hyde Park was a delight, and many other famous sights also within walking distance. London is big but you miss so much if always getting the Underground everywhere. When not walking, we caught the #49 bus (the stop for which is about 20 yards from the hotel entrance) and then changed to a connecting service in South Kensington. There are also direct bus services to Putney / Marble Arch from a stop just 2 minutes from the hotel. Hotel staff were literally amazing - couldn’t do enough for you and were absolutely exceptional. Additionally - stored our luggage (no charge) in the lobby at the start and end of our trip so we didn’t have to wheel cases around London whilst we maximised our time in the capital city.

Room size was small which was literally the only compromise we had with our stay. However, it had everything you needed (safe, ironing board, yea/coffee making facilities, en-suite) for a short stay (we spent 2 nights) and was extremely clean. We felt we could happily stay for say 3-4 nights if simply using the hotel as a base for a leisure visit - business people might want something a little bigger.

The location was very good, Breakfast maybe a little overpriced for what was available, The room was pleasant if a little dated. Located at the front of the hotel and very noisy at night.

The hotel took a pre authorisation fee which was half of the total value of my booking and a week later the payment is still pending in my bank. Usually the amount is a token amount nowhere near as much as what has been taken.

I can’t believe I discovered this place so late in life. I’ve been traveling to London so many times and this GEM has always been hidden. This hotel is TOP NOTCH. You’ll get a royalty treatment at a budget price and the location.. AMAZING. The staff is fabulous, the location is fabulous and I wish I could’ve spend more days there. Will definitely book again!

The location of the hotel was good for the purpose of our visit, mainly to go to Proms concerts, and very handy for Gloucester Road underground. Our rooms had everything we needed, with good cupboard space and facilities. The fridge was a very welcome feature. I particularly liked the en suite, which was large enough to have a bath as well as a shower, and which also had a window (not often the case). Also appreciated the air con and the fact that we could open the windows a little. We had the Continental breakfast and thought both the range of choice and quality were very good. The reception and restaurant staff made us feel very welcome and were very helpful throughout our stay.

It would have been nice to have had a little shelf above the bed for my phone, book, etc, but I could see from the layout of the room how this would have been difficult. It's a very minor point!

Much nicer than expected

I was in the basement room so maybe some blinds so the people in the laundry room can't see straight in with the curtains open

Great central location, really close to Gloucester Road tube station and really handy for getting to the Royal Albert Hall for a concert that I was attending, just a short pleasant walk away.. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was very pleasant with lovely comfortable bed. Lots of places to buy groceries and to eat right on the doorstep. Perfect place to get around London from. Very nice area. Nice and quiet, only a little street noise considering it's location.

I would definitely opt for a private bathroom next time and pay the extra cost. The bathrooms were very well kept but others using them don't always show the courtesy they should. Not flushing the toilet after use isn't acceptable but this was no reflection on the hotel themselves. No problems with them at all.

The location is ideal, perfectly located for exploring. The tube station is across the road, there are many eateries in the area for all budgets, even a Tesco express. The Natural History Museum is literally around the corner, which was a bonus! And the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had such a peaceful night sleep too.

The only small thing that I didn't like was the continental breakfast, as there wasn't much choice for the price. It felt like it was lacking and was too basic. It seems as though it was done on the cheapest budget. And the price of one night was a bit over priced, although to be fair it's in Kensington. Apart from that it was a great Hotel with lovely staff. And I will consider staying again for the convenience.
