November 2022

I was in London many times, staying at 3* and 4* properties but never had so much space in my room or should I say in my accomodation unit, as we ( two of us, with a work collegue) had a flat with 2 rooms ( very spacious), 2 ensuite bathrooms ( surpise, since the flat's description indicated 1 bathroom), a huge living room with a courtyard view (a lawn to rest your eyes in the middle of London, that is a pure luxury and I am sorry I didn't get much of it, since I was attending a fair and was in the room only early in the morning before breakfast and during the night to sleep), a fully equipped kitchen ( not that we needed it, but somebody reading this review might). Than I was pleasently surprised with a visit from an executive manager during the breakfast, asking how I was and chatting with me to find out my opinions (since the hotel is an old convent and still run by the church, and as I don't practice any religion, and since the executive manager wore visible signs of being vikar or similar, I was kind of worried that the conversation might take the turn towards religious content, but none whatsoever). Extremly professional and pleasent. I had 3 nights of great sleep ( great bed and since at home I sleep on a very comfy boxspring matress, it almost matches the comfort of the home) The breakfast was excellent (fried eggs would be nice to have and that is about the only thing that I missed) The property sent me detailed information on how to get there and once you get out of the Limestone station it is impossible not to see all the indications on the street walls (al least 4 indications clearly visible for maybe 150 - 200 meteres and 2 turns) - never had such an experience. The property exceeded my expecations and since I work in the hotel too, it is my pleasure to give maximum marks to this property and write this review. Keep up the good work and definitely I will get back when in London.

lovely place, nice people, a safe good place to get a really good nights sleep whilst being in london to do what we are there for. so good to eat and shower and have a lovely green area ( with NO pets there thank goodness )to realx in.. so so good to relax in the grass and trees area with nice decent quiet people around, and as said ''NO PETS''there. ''thank goodness for that!!! fantastic..

( my ) room all be it very nice and clean etc was a ''basic'' room , so, price wise very pricey for a basic room. i like every thing about staying there and want to return, time and time again, but the price needs to come down a bit . please . other than that thank you and yes, i hope to return. some time soon.

Ideal location for me as was attending an event at troxy. very close to the venue and train station. very nice clean room/bathroom. comfortable beds. it was really hot the day we stayed but thankfully there was a fan already in the room. the garden is so serene and peaceful. breakfast was exceptional. we enjoyed it with garden view.

although the room, bedding and bath were very clean I believe there is a need for occasional hoovering under the bed. my medicine fell and went under the bed so I had to look for it. couldn’t find it but wouldn’t have taken it even if I had found it there as it was quite dusty.

the room was clean and tidy .Breakfast area and food was really very good and staff very friendly .

We had a top floor room ,which was higher than the walled gardens ,so sound from the main roads was noisy at times ,but not late evening .The hotel is on the DLR train route ,on our visit this was not running .This is the only train route .We had to walk 30 minutes to nearest tube station tower hill ,we made this journey 4 times during our one night stay .Buses run ,but the road is so busy at times we walked past four so no gain using them or even a cab .There are lots of bikes for hire so that could be an option .Expect to walk if the DLR is out of action .plenty of parking if you arrive by car though.

Very calm and serene location, old hospice grounds Right by Limehouse DLR, or 45 minute walk via Thames Way to Tower Bridge Walking distance to Canary Wharf Right by Yurt Cafe, which in itself is a wonder for breakfast and coffee Fantastic room for family of 4 (we got Flat #5) - two separate bedrooms, great living room and a separate kitchen All amenities, including dishwasher and washing machine Great for a short stay, especially if you're looking for a near-river location with a good price/value ratio

Wifi wasn't working in all rooms Our room as close to street, so may be an issue for light sleepers Some parts recently refurbished, but some have seen better days

We stayed in one of the apartments which was clean, tidy and super spacious for 4 adults. It had a fully equipped kitchen, a mini sitting room facing an inner courtyard with trees and a lawn, a bathroom and large twin or double bedroom and a double bed with ensuite. The rooms have soundproofing and dark curtains. It was quiet (unless you open the soundproofing window to let air in, in which case you hear the road traffic) and had a great breakfast included for us. Staff are nice and check in was super easy. Next to a lovely Yurt cafe and the DLR (Overground) Limehouse stop with frequent trains - 2 stops away from Bank station where you can get on the tube). We would 100% stay here again.

The double bed in the ensuite room could do with a new mattress. It's firm which I don't mind, but it's lumpy in places because you can feel some bumps from the springs. The cupboard in the ensuite room could do with a clean and some paint.

The check in staff were friendly and efficient. We loved the Yurt cafe, the food was lovely for lunch. The continental breakfast was really nice. The garden was lovely to enjoy in the sun. The hotel is right next door to the DLR, a bit noisy but really convenient for transport links. It is really central to walk to Canary Wharf. The free car park was a real bonus for such a central location in London. We'd definitely return there.

Our room was basic but good value. The bed was pushed up against the window and there was a drain smell from the bathroom. It was clean though. Just needs some drain cleaner!!

Nice quiet location in a busy city. 2 minutes walk to train station. it takes about 30 mins to get to the tourist sites in central London. We stayed in flat 2, which had 2 bedrooms and a living room, which I loved because you can just sit on a couch instead of laying on your bed like you usually do in hotels. The master bedroom was perfect, bed really really comfy. Breakfast was excellent. had everything one could want

The 2nd bedroom was small and had no window to open which made it really hot in the room. Ot was April and in no way warm weather but my kids complained about the heat in their room.

Sitting room/kitchenette, big windows that we could open to get air, the lovely and peaceful inner courtyard, the continental breakfast with extensive choices, the Yurt Cafe. The calm and peaceful vibe!

It was very warm in London during out visit (85 -88 degrees F) and the air conditioning was marginal. One bedroom had no window and was particularly uncomfortable. Fans were provided, which did help. The only bed linens were a duvet, which was inappropriate for the weather.

No cooked breakfast, disappointed, but what was supplied was very good. Tea, coffee, juice, plenty of toast , croissants, cereal and cold meats if you wanted it. The location was good for the O2 with the train station just around the corner. Not the best area outside the hotel, but the views inside the grounds were very good. The hotel is very old building saved and renovated lovely. Nice and quiet also. The room it self had tea, coffee and water. With a really good shower and bed. No TV. Overall would definitely stay again.

No cooked breakfast. No TV, but we were only there one night, do it wasn't that missed.
