The hotel is really cute with interesting decoration and atmosphere. I appreciated how they handled our reservation that was a complicated one, divided in three separate parts. Especially, the fact that they took into account my preference for a specific room and they reserved it for our whole stay, although they explained when I made the booking that this might not be feasible. The room was spotlessly clean. There was an issue with the drain in the shower at some point, but the staff handled it effectively and without being intrusive in the room, exactly as I had requested. The breakfast room was beautiful and the breakfast itself acceptable, but without being something special. The location of the hotel is a little off center of London. We needed about half an hour, taking the Tube to reach most London attractions, which for the size of London might not be that much. The Bank station, though, which is at the limits of central London and an underground hub for many lines, is only two stops away from the Limehouse station, which serves the hotel (5 min walk). The hotel is located on an avenue and a neighbourhood with not much to do around. However, it is very close to the picturesque Limehouse basin, and we enjoyed a lot the stroll from the hotel, through St Catherine's area, and following the Thames path along the river. The walk took about an hour and revealed many interesting places in that residential area. In summary, we loved the hotel and the staff. If I was to consider something before booking next time to the Limehouse Library hotel, that would be only the location. However, that would probably not stop me from booking again and definitely from highly recommending it.

Our room was facing east, and in the morning the curtains failed blocking the light. The curtains need to be thicker and also longer to not leave any gaps.

This hotel is amaaaaaaaazing I fell in love with it from first instance Super clean and super classy Decorations are amazing and every corner speaks a beauty story. The staff are SUPER polite and helpful. I can't complain. The breakfast is tasty and has some sort of varieties. Will definitely come again if I visit London again.

The rooms are tiny. I read in the list of facilities that it has a gym inside but when asked the staff they said it will be coming soon.

It was stunning. Lovely old building and very clean. Love the literary theme and the many reading areas. They even gave us oat milk from the bar for our coffees.

The fire alarm going off repeatedly very early in the morning woke all the hotel guests up. It went off 4 or 5 times during the space of an hour. We had to go down to see what was going on. A faulty fire alarm apparently. Although another member of staff blamed a guest so no clue what the truth was. We got no apology either. No clue how or why a guest would repeatedly ring the fire alarm. I had a migraine the whole day from that incident. Ruined our day out in London

My husband and I stayed for an extended bank holiday weekend as we were in London celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and we arrived to a complementary bottle of wine and fruit platter in the room, which was a lovely touch. The hotel was easy to get to from St Pancras via tube (5min walk from hotel) and you could easily access the rest of London from the hotel and Canary Wharf on foot. The décor is lovely and we loved all the vintage touches and the individual bedroom designs. We experienced an issue with our bedroom, which prevented me from sleeping on the first night. I alerted staff the next morning and they were delightful and moved our room to another one, which was actually an upgrade from what we booked. It was very thoughtful and meant the rest of our trip could be enjoyed. We were grateful and bought the staff two boxes of chocolates, wished they received gracefully. The hotel is different without compromising quality. We would definitely stay again!!

After our issue was resolved, there was nothing we did not enjoy!

I have received a 5 star treatment at the Limehouse Library Hotel in London. It’s a beautiful and authentic property that offers the concept of each room being designed after historical figures. I did request a quiet and calm room, and I received the one named after Mahatma Gandhi! I got presented a sweet treat for my birthday upon arrival, which was lovely and made me feel welcomed. My room was always perfectly clean and ready. Thank you to all the staff for the effort, specially to Hazel and Levent! Staying at the Limehouse Library Hotel will make you feel like an oasis in non-stop London life. I had the chance to rest properly and be ready for new adventures every day. 10/10 I would recommend it and stay here again in the future. Additional plus: You can access the sauna (B floor) to help you fully relax or you can sit in the garden upstairs too.

Minus: The room needs a bin.

The interior of the hotel is very quirky in the common areas, lots to see and explore, very whimsical and unique. Bar offers great cocktails. The rooms themselves are sleek and well appointed. We stayed in a superior double and the size of the room was excellent, very spacious. Great aircon in the rooms, good water pressure, beds super comfy, and despite being on a main road I did not hear any traffic. Location was perfect for us (it is very easy to get to Mile End, Canary wharf and Poplar). Staff were very helpful and accommodating.

Any complaints are very minor ones, it's a lovely hotel and I'm so glad I stayed there. The light from the mini fridge probably could be covered with a contact paper or similar as it does stay lit in the dark. A bin in the main room would be helpful. A staff member did enthusiastically come in to drop off more tea even though my partner asked them not to come in as I was undressed (I'm sure that was just as traumatic for the staff though, oh dear!) A map of how to get to your room on the keycard. It's a bit confusing at first haha.

It was such a beautiful hotel, room was very spacious, clean and tidy, lots of storage.. they leave you little nice touches which was nice. About 5 or 10 mins (walk) to tube and rail station... Great links to other parts of London. There's a Tesco and Sainsburys not far either.

I felt on edge due to the £100 bond they had taken I was more careful than normal and very cautious about everything. Had it before at another hotel where damage had already happened in the room but we got blame and never got money back. Hadnt read about the bond when booking so wasn't actually aware of it till week prior to going and it was too late to cancel... Glad we didn't tho cos we'd of missed out on this lovely hidden gem!

While the location is a bit out of the way for many tourist activities in London, the hotel is beautiful. The renovation from a library into a hotel was done very well. The common areas are done up in a very kitschy style that works very well for the space. Each room is based on a different author and my friend and I shared the Melville room. There was an informative video about Melville playing on the TV on a loop when we came in and the decor matched the idea of Melville's Moby Dick while still being modern. The breakfast was excellent (a buffet where you could easily put together a full English breakfast, nosh on avocado toast, have some cereal, or some Turkish treats.)

The location could be better.

The building and renovations are beautiful. Our room, which had a double and a twin bed, was bright and airy. Everything was modern. It was a bit of a walk from the nearest tube station, but the walk was pleasant. It's easy to get a bus to the docklands area.

This is a minor thing, and others may see no issue. The beds were very low to the ground. It wasn't easy for me to get in and out of the bed because my back sometimes is tight, and with all of the walking on our trip, it was extra challenging. If the beds were just a bit higher, I'd have been fine.

This is a fantastic, quirky, immaculately clean hotel. It is in a building that used to be a library and the owner has maintained that connection with a wonderful homage to literary figures from across the world. I was in the HG Wells room and it had copies of his books and amazingly, when I turned the television on there was a short film about the life and work of Wells - this was a lovely literary touch. It was such a pleasure to stay somewhere where the owner has ensured a personal touch and not complied with the corporate look. The hotel feels homely and welcoming. The staff were friendly and informative, the room extremely clean and the general areas full of interesting artefacts. The location is good and close to Canary Wharf if you need to stay in the area. We did not have time to have breakfast , so cannot comment on it. I strongly recommend this hotel if you want to stay somewhere that is architecturally and decoratively different.

Everything was good - no down sides.
