Great location if you want to explore London as a tourist. Literally three steps away from Leicester Square and 5 min from Piccadilly Circus and Soho area, all very crowded and touristy in the peak season. But the rooms are quiet! It is the theatre district. Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, and the National Portrait Gallery are just around the corner. Also walkable distances to Covent Garden, the British Museum, and Westminster Abbey. You can take The Tube or buses to most other famous sights, and Heathrow. Lots of restaurants and pubs in the area. Great service, very friendly.

The rooms are very small. I am fine with that but other travelers may take notes.

Z Hotel was excellently located, easy walking distance to several of the underground stations, and very easy to get around London from. The staff were pleasant and friendly, and the room was tidied daily. The hotel was overall nice, clean, and exactly what we expected when we booked.

The morning breakfast was nice, however a little overpriced for what it was. The room is small, however this was expected when we booked, and for the price I think it's honestly decent. It would be nice if there was slightly more shelving or storage in the room as we had to place most things on the floor. The only other thing to note is the bathroom - it was weird. The shower and toilet were surrounded by frosted glass, but placed in the centre of the room. This means you can see into the bathroom when other people are in there. As a couple this was fine, however worth noting if you are travelling as friends.

This was my first "experiment" with a Z Hotel--and I would rate it a success. Its affordable price allowed me to spend a few extra days in London. If you have any claustrophobic tendencies just be sure you don't book a room that says it is "windowless." The rooms are small, and the bathroom is a closet with glass walls. But for one person it was fine, and in fact the room was nicer and more comfortable than I expected. And the location was simply great. If you are in London to see shows and art museums you can walk nearly everywhere you want to go. And it is on a small side street so not noisy (which is why I picked this Hotel Z over another one nearby). And the staff were very nice and helpful, I can't say enough about how kind and helpful they were to me.

One thing seemed to me way below par: while the lobby and the room itself seemed clean and nice enough, the hallway carpet (at least on my floor) was BADLY stained, a dingy gray with big dark spots, which caused me to wonder about the state of other things I couldn't see.

Absolutely loved the location! Convenient to so many iconic sites in all directions. Close to transportation and the staff was willing to assist in hailing a taxi for a guest. The rooms were clean, efficient, and modern. Each room had a boiler with tea and coffee as well as filtered water. There were ports to charge phones beside the bed! Enjoyed the water pressure in the shower and had good hot water! AC worked well and was adjustable in the room. Plush, large bath towels. The cheese tray was lovely, the pizza and toastie quite tasty! Apples and water were available in the lobby Cafe. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly! We appreciated having a lift.

I mentioned that the rooms were efficient - some might say small. 4 of us stayed in 2 rooms with nowhere to gather well but the lobby. We slept comfortably, but the guest that sleeps by the window must climb over the other guest if the restroom is needed during the night and the window side of the bed seemed worn/sloped. There are only hooks for hanging clothes, but that was not an issue for us. No good place to hang wet bath towels to dry.

Very clean, neat, entrance. Room was tiny but we were surprised how well it 'worked'. Good air conditioning. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable and bilingual. Perfect price and room for a few nights. Excellent location for the event we were attending and for central London. Nice selection of hot drinks in the room. Plenty of towels, complementary hair and body wash and a decent hair dryer!

The main thing for me was the matress. I am a large lady and I felt I was sleeping on a board. My husband, who is slim, thought it was ok. Also we were by the lift and we could hear every time the call button was pressed and people chatting whilst waiting and coming out of the lift.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. The location was fantastic! Very central to all the tourist spots and the show we booked to see! Just around the corner from Leicester and Trafalgar Square and only 15 minutes from Buckingham Palace. All the staff were very nice and Mío who checked us in was very helpful upon arrival. Luggage storage was very handy which gives you more time to explore the city. The room was very clean and good price for our budget. Thank you!!!

Booked a room with a window but the window didn’t open. But there was air conditioning so it worked out.

The location is perfect. The best location to stay in London, close to many bars and tube lines. The hotel has very new facilities. Impeccable cleanliness. Uncomplicated check in.

We tried to check in earlier (at 11 am) as we arrived tired from a long trip and were willing to pay for the difference. The woman who received us was extremely kind and said she could help, as our room was already clean. But another employee who seemed to be the manager, was very annoying and rude, said that it was not possible to check in early and told us to come back later.

Without exception the staff was extremely pleasant and beyond helpful! I needed sudden help getting a cab in the wee hours and the night desk person went above and beyond supplying a cab company name and writing down for me the information I would need to make the call and schedule the appointment. The hotel is literally steps away from Her Majesty's Theatre and attending "The Phantom of the Opera" there was the purpose of my trip. 168 steps door to door!!!!

My room was so very charming. I think it was 403? It has a lovely semicircular window. Just needs a little attention to the curtain hooks on the right side, something is off or missing there.

To be right in the heart of London was good value for money. Staff are superb - friendly and helpful. We are return visitors so that tells you what we think. Nice cafe and foyer and so close to the west end. For such a teeny tiny room it had what you needed.

No fridge was disappointing. Be aware the bed is next to the wall so you have to climb over your sleeping partner to get out. Also the shower is sectioned off with frosted glass so you get a good idea of which bits your companion is washing even if you can't see detail. But as long as you don't mind being in very close proximity this hotel is perfect for a short and value for money stay.

the locations was the thing that sold it for me! in under 2 minutes up the road is piccadilly circus and you are directly in the theatre district so perfect if your going to see shows! the rooms were immaculate and the bed was comfortable. the tv was big and had sky channels! the staff were also very friendly and understanding of all our needs.

only downside was the size of the rooms but honestly, we weren’t in the rooms that long to care. i would recommend buying a room with a window as the daylight made it feel bigger!!
