Very clean and compact in a great location. It is simple and functional, just perfect for a short stay without frills or paying for space you dont need. Access to transport was brilliant and proximity to areas you would want to visit is excellent. We will definitely use Z hotels again.

Absense of a chair (or space for it) was a very slight inconvenience as the only place to sit was on the bed. I'd say the main thing I didnt like was that the bed is fully enclosed on 3 sides which means the person on the inside find it less easy to get in/out of bed. Apart from this, the only other disappointment was that the window did not open, which could make the small room feel a little claustrophobic, but the air con was very good and somewhat compensated.

Very (!) small room. No place to put stuff; no chair, no table (besides the one at the bed which was almost fully occupied by free tea, coffee, water cooker, ..). For one person this is less of a problem; with two persons, you really have to work out a strategy. Breakfast very basis (due to low price that's totally fine, but I think it's just worth to mention). All of this is basically also what you see in the description, so it would be unfair to downrate. I just thought it might be worth to point out again.

It was great experience to stay in The Z Hotel Strand,I'm really glad that I chose this hotel as the location played huge role in my short 3 days stay. I didn't use any kind of vehicles, just walking. Most of the main must see locations are around the hotel. Charing Cross station 6 min walking (to/from Gatwick airport), Leicester station Piccadilly line (to/from Heathrow airport) 8 mins walking, highly recommend to choose this hotel. Clean and nice. Very nice and polite staff whatever questions have been asked tried to their best to find the solutions.

Everything was GREAT. As I was 1 person with no luggage, the room size was perfect for me, but for 2 people with many luggages will be problematic a bit, there is no place for luggage.

The best things about this hotel are its location and price. If you are looking for a hotel in central London close to the theaters and other attractions, it would be hard to find one this nice for a lower price. Small rooms, but certainly adequate if your main goal is to just sleep in it and spend the majority of your time exploring the city.

Breakfast was adequate, but their marketing department was better than the actual execution. If I were to visit again, I will probably eat breakfast at one of the nearby cafes. There was nothing really wrong with the breakfast, but the way it was advertised made me think it would be more extensive than it actually was. I prepurchased it because they advertised salmon in the morning, but they were out one of the two days I was there.

Wonderful, polite, friendly and helpful staff who were more than willing to accommodate out request for early check in and also complimentary storage of luggage after checking out. Booked a windowless room but didn't even notice that it was windowless due to the room being so well lit and so well designed, making the room feel larger than it actually is. Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate in the room. Complimentary flavoured water and fruit in the lobby. Efficient air conditioning in the room as well as throughout the hotel. Free use of umbrellas Excellent location being on the Strand, easy walking distance to Charring Cross as well as London's touristy spots such as Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Chinatown.

Frosted glass panes/door separating the bathroom from the main room No proper cupboards, only a few clothes hooks on a wall with coat hangers means that you're pretty much living out the suitcase

We love Z Hotels as it seems to be the only hotel in existence where the rooms next door cannot be heard, and they have invested in soft door closing. What a difference that makes. I would imagine the Z Hotels have put thought and investment into sound proofing as it makes such a difference to have peace and quiet from within the rooms. We have stayed in a lot of Z Hotels and continue to use them for the reasons above. This hotel is the same great quality and such a fantastic location. We were greeted warmly by the reception team and from that moment on the stay was fantastic with 2 nights of comfort, cleanliness and 'peace and quiet'. Can't fault Z Hotels.

Don't let the quite high prices of the internal rooms dissuade you from booking, the comfort and peace and quiet from other guest rooms is worth every penny.

The location - slap bang central for what we were visiting London to do, watch the show ‘Six’ at Vaudaville Theatre - it was 20 yards away. The reception was minimal but functional - the bar had no dark rum but had other basics - had a G&T instead. In terms of check in and check out, super quick friendly and efficient - no messing about! The compromise for such a bang central location seems to be the room size. Perfect size for one, but a bit cramped for 2 - not much room to move around each other. So for me (52) and my wife (a touch younger, no revelations 🤣) it was a bit of a struggle. Once settled though everything was comfortable. Climbing out of bed (over my sleeping partner) was very tricky indeed, as was crossing paths in and out of the bathroom - but perhaps someone younger would not have had these issues. Being fair, the facilities were great as a compromise for such a good location, which I think is the concept of the brand. I’m just not sure that if I came again perhaps for a different purpose that I’d choose this hotel again for these reasons. It’s the perfect hotel for watching either “Six” or “Back to the future: the musical” though as they’re right next door. There’s a lovely tapas bar right next door for pre theatre eats (they did have dark rum) and lots of other restaurants and shops nearby for munchies (in room or out.) There’s a branch of Leon across the road (The Stramd) which we visited a couple of times across our long weekend. Staff were great and, within certain limits, couldn’t do enough for you (though we didn’t necessarily need them to do too much as we had everything we needed and were all set from the off.) Overall, great! 🫶

The hotel staff were really friendly and accommodating. The room was ultra modern (without a window option) and bathroom ultra modern as well. One of the best showers that I've been in with heaps of hot water. The bed and linen were of a high standard with a really comfortable mattress.

We requested a room without a window due to costs of accommodation. This was fine, however the room was extremely small with barely enough room for two people to stand up together. The TV didn't work properly with only about 6 channels able to be watched. I bought this to the attention to staff but it could not be rectified.

I've stayed here several times and I love it. Rooms small, but modern and really well designed. Everything you need in a small space. Comfortable bed and a huge TV. Great location just off the Strand. The welcome cheese and wine was a nice surprise!

One detail which is common to all the Z Hotel rooms I've ever stayed in: the washbasin plug doesn't work! You have to keep the tap running, as the water just won't stay in the bowl. Another minor snag: the TV channels weren't arranged in the order I'd normally expect (1=BBC1, 2=BBC2, 3=ITV etc) and I couldn't find BBC 2 at all. Overall, though, these are minor inconveniences.

The location of this hotel is amazing. Right in the west end. Even though our window fronted onto the strand, the sound proofing meant we heard nothing! Staff were super helpful and the room was modern and spotless.

If you’re unaware, these rooms are very small, the width of a bed, and contain a built in en-suite, which is glass sided. Someone will be climbing over their sleeping partner to get on and off the bed, and although the glass is frosted, if you don’t know the person you’re staying with very well, you may feel uncomfortable using the bathroom. I knew all this and was happy to compromise on size in order to get the location at a price I could afford.
