For tourism purposes, The Savoy's location is top-notch. You can virtually walk anywhere from it and the most popular touristic attractions are nearby. Beautiful décor, amazing food, and clean, comfortable rooms. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

The A/C was broken in our first room (and it was hot in London during those days)--rather than cool, it heated the room despite being set at 18C!" They attempted to fix it unsuccessfully. We had to request a room change. They told us we would be upgraded due to the inconvenience, though we were actually downgraded into a smaller room (twice) in a lower floor (but the A/C worked in the third room). They later said they would apply a 20% discount to our stay, but our stay had been prepaid and the discount was not credited, which is quite disappointing.

The staff where incredibly polite and helpful and the location was perfect for our stay in London.

I was surprised that nobody asked to take my jacket in any of the restaurants and bar. also we had room service on our last evening and we asked for it to be collected twice but it was still there after we checked out the following morning.

From the moment we arrived we were treated as valued, special guests. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone worked hard to make our stay the best experience of our lives. We were upgraded to a superb room with the best view in london. The food in all the restaurants was delicious and service impeccable. The seating manageress at the American Bar worked particularly hard and found us perfect tables on both evenings, ensuring our bookings were quickly confirmed by text.

We hated having to leave and walking out through the revolving doors to return to a less magical world, however, the memories will last a lifetime and we have promised ourselves a return visit one day.

Wonderful location and a hotel full of a history of luxury. The staff are very welcoming and professional. The food and cocktail bars are excellent. The rooms are extremely comfortable and have all the amenities you’ll need.

The breakfast quality was excellent. That said, they forgot 2 items one day and on the 2nd day, despite telling us breakfast was until 11:00 they wouldn’t take us at 10:15, saying the kitchen for the River Restaurant was closing in 10 minutes. One evening, I didn’t like not being able to get in the cocktail bar, despite being a resident. Didn’t like the hotel adding a discretionary tip of £175/night for the room, yes £175/night - amazing. There was no mention of this prior to receiving the bill at check-out.

The hotel is absolutely spotless and the staff were lovely. The Savoy exceeded all of my expectations in it's beauty. It is pure luxury from the minute you drive onto the courtyard, exactly what you would expect from an establishment of this caliber. The breakfast delivered to the room was delicious and plentiful. I also appreciated the little touches on our arrival to the hotel room, it made it all the more special for my whole family and a stay they will never forget. It is in a fabulous spot for exploring London.

I appreciate it is an old property but some soundproofing on the windows could be beneficial as they didn't quite close as well as they could and I did hear some sounds from the world outside during the night

Everything. Staff professional friendly attentive to your needs without being overbearing. We felt completely comfortable Food wonderful

We had a long standing reservation in the Savoy Grill for 8pm. The table wasn’t available on our arrival. We were told to return in 15 minutes. Table was still not ready and sent away again. Told to come back in another 15 minutes. So we decided to go into the American Bar. A staff member collected us from there. My party of 6 was finally seated around 8.40pm. Which was very disappointing as it cut down on our time in the American bar after our meal.

Fantastic welcome, every member of staff were friendly and helpful, but a big mention to "Manny" who made our dinning experience truly fabulous, his attention to detail, guidance was second to none! Room was wow, facilities wow, atmosphere wow, a special occasion for my wife to celebrate her 60th birthday in style in a special hotel surrounded by special people. It lived up to all our expectations and more. Thanks to all at the Savoy for creating a magical memory for my wife and me.

I didn't like handing my key back in at the end of our two night stay! That was the only thing we didn't like!

The whole experience. Beautiful hotel with wonderfully welcoming staff who are charming from the second you meet them. Runs like clockwork, thanks to the hidden army of back of house staff who do a magnificent job. Hotel dressed beautifully for Christmas. Loved it

Everything exceptional and so rated accordingly but dropped a notch for value. This is only because of 'hidden' costs- the expected cost plus the 'service' charges that actually amounted to hundreds of pounds for our family across accomodation, food and drink which whilst optional, non-payment of, would somehow suggest unhappiness with our service. I can't fault the service so wouldn't not pay but worth considering when factoring in your trip. As it's quite a high percentage and we went at an expensive time of year, it all added up. Still had a great time though.

Excellent room with river view and London Eye, the bed was very comfortable, the pillows a little firm for my taste but acceptable. As it was my special birthday the hotel had laid a large bowl of crudités and dips with a separate bowl of fresh fruit also balloons in the room. The bathroom was lovely with underfloor heating, however, the roll top bath could be dangerous getting in and especially out, there was grab rails but still awkward, used the large walk In shower following nights.

Some of the hotel facilities were being renovated on our stay, we had breakfast in the Thames foyer with excellent choice although quite pricey, on the evening we ate in Riverside restaurant, the service was good although I was a bit disappointed in my choice of fish pie, the overwhelming taste was fennel and not fish, the sticky toffee pudding more than made up for it. The American bar had a great atmosphere and excellent choice of cocktails, although the automatic dish of nuts and olives placed on table where not complimentary and you were not informed of this, so the bill became more than expected.
