The location and our sea view balcony room were Amazing so clean and bed real comfy It was a lovely Birthday night away.

Well for us the breakfast service On entry were seated asked what we wanted to drink and brown or white toast It didn't come . Then asked a second time with our order. A young girl asked in between 3rd time we smiled said already ordered well our breakfast came we still hadn't got a pot of tea or toast My hubby was getting annoyed by this point not a nice end to my birthday treat away been to places and paid a lot less and got better service he had paid 255 quid.

I have stayed in many hotels in my 69 years & I can honestly say The Clifton Arms was one of the very best!I’m disabled & use a Wheelchair. The Staff couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. It was like a family. We were served for Breakfast by an Italian Waitress who was lovely. I have a friend in Italy & we had a lovely chat but I noticed she was discreetly watching the other tables in case they needed her. The room was massive and extremely clean. I loved the Swan Towels. A lovely touch! The bed was extremely comfortable. Not too hard or soft and the linen was extremely clean and ironed. Even though there was a Wedding Party going on, which we were made aware of by the Staff, and we could just hear them but it wasn’t a nuisances. The food was absolutely delicious and served extremely well. We will definitely be back! Thank you to all the Staff for an extremely enjoyable stay! Best wishes and take care all of you! I can honestly say there wasn’t one thing I didn’t like about the property!

We were given an upgrade for our room. Amazing room with amazing view across the sea. Beautiful. The room was a joy to stay in with all the comforts we could expect. Thank you. We hope to stay in this room again when we next visit. The breakfasts were really ver good indeed, combined with excellent service from the staff. Pleasant surrounding made the experience very good indeed.

There is really nothing not to like. If we were to be 'picky' then the car park is tight in terms of parking, with a chance that there may not be spaces available on returning to the hotel. We do however understand that this is a possibility and accept this situation.

The food was of a high standard, excellent, the staff very friendly. There was some concern with the length of service in the restaurant in the evening.... A very long wait where one had to complain which is not comfortable to have to do and somewhat spoiled am excellent stay...one where one would probably not eat in the restaurant in the evening if we returned as we would like to do in the future. The breakfast and service and staff was excellent. There were some maintenance issues which should be kept up to scratch given the hotel rating. But the chambermaids work was excellent as was the general decor and quality of the hotel.

The heavy chairs in the dining area meant that it was hard to manoeuvre them on the wooden floor... Surely the chair manufacturers should be able to fit appropriate gliders on the bottom of the legs. The noise and discomfort of trying to move the chairs was quite intolerable almost impossible to tuck oneself up to the table edge..... we could even hear the movement in our first floor room when we retired.

Good location friendly staff and very clean and comfortable..

There was lots of loud very irritating noise from chairs being pulled in and out below us in the dining room. it wouldn't take much sorting out with some rubber chair leg ends to stop them scraping on floors..It sounds a bit of a whine. but it is very loud and disturbing in our room above.. Also, we asked for scrambled eggs for breakfast and they were the worst we've ever had, I think they were microwaved..My wife and I both left them as they looked horrible and wet. Other than that the breakfasts were great with fried egg the next day.

I was in Room 105 overlooking seafront. I particularly liked comfy chairs in bay window from which I could enjoy view and comings and goings from hotel. Every single member of staff was friendly and eager to please and the breakfast menu was extensive and delicious. Had the Garden (think that was name) breakfast one morning - a first for me and delicious.

Nothing I didn't like, although would like to comment on an environmental issue. Personally speaking, I didn't need clean towels both days. Many hotels nowadays give the option to have towels changed by placing a notice in bathroom advising to place towels in, e.g. bathtub, if clean towels required. The towel swans on the bed were quaint, but not necessary. I stress, it wasn't something I didn't like, just a personal opinion.

Wow,Where to start.The location is perfect,the room was large and spacious with a sea view.The breakfast varied and delicious.The terrace when the sun out ideal to sit and enjoy the views. The evening meal was excellent and tasty. There are so many places just to sit and have a drink and the decor is beautiful throughout.

Well not dislike exactly buy maybe improve.The wifi was very weak and had to reboot all the time. The toilet in our room even though maintenance looked wasnt brilliant. The radiator was on permanently in the bathroom and very hot.Perfect when freezing.

Faultess. The room was lovely clean and spacious. Staff were all lovely polite and helpful. Nothing was too much for them. Went above and beyond for breakfast, also for helping source a particular drink in the bar. Breakfast choice was fantastic especially for being served to the room. Not many hotels would include such a good choice to your room for no extra charge . Will definitely be returning

No disabled parking spaces that we noticed /could find however we were able to park on the car park before check in time and car park is secure .

We ate in the restaurant for dinner and both the meal and the service were excellent. The room was lovely - bigger than we expected - with comfy beds and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

The room was very hot but as it was one of the hottest days of the year this was to be expected. Not many hotel rooms in the UK benefit from air conditioning and as our room was on the side where the sun came in, this couldn't be helped. It certainly wouldn't stop me from staying there again and we would even ask for the same room.
