Quiet as our stay was mid week and just after the new year as I know it is much busier at weekends and school holidays. The swimming is good and the gym and swimming pool are open long hours too. Also we were given a room facing the sea this time I had not booked this room but was delighted with it. All the rooms we have been allocated at the Dalmeny over the last few years have been good and roomy. Hotel is maintained well, staff are lovely and there is plenty of parking.

This is our 3rd year at the Dalmeny at this time of year and so we very much like the hotel. The breakfast is good but not the very best, probably because the cooked breakfast is not made to order as it is a buffet type. My husband would like Kettle bells in the gym but that is all. We don’t eat dinner at the hotel so cannot comment on that.

We were upgraded to a front facing family room which really made our holiday as previously when we've stayed we were overlooking the back of the hotel in a room which hadn't been upgraded yet. Staff, breakfast, hotel all great. We also used the pool and jacuzzi every day (sometimes twice!) and really liked it.

I think the prices in the main bar are a little too steep and although we did have some drinks here we would have spent more time in the bar in the evening if it wasn't so expensive. We went outside the hotel for dinner every night as the restaurant menu is limited and very pricey.

The room was great, the sea view was lovely. The activities for kids were great we really enjoyed the Halloween party too. Breakfast was brilliant and the staff were all very nice and helpful.

Although we still enjoyed going in the pool with the kids it would have been better if there was a shallow end as one of the kids has only just started swimming without armbands and couldn’t stand up anywhere. Also the car park was full and there were 2 cars parked selfishly to the edge over the line preventing anyone one parking next to them. Our daughter struggles to walk far so we have a blue badge. We did eventually manage to park but it was a struggle and I wasn’t aware there may be a parking problem (and no disabled space free either). It isn’t a major problem and wouldn’t put us off coming again just a point to note.

Very nice breakfast, room very spacious and staff very pleasant. Superb entertainment on Wednesday evening from couple playing good mix of music, but again not advertised they were playing as only realised when came back from going elsewhere for food and drinks

Need clear communication of when swimming pool used for child swimming lessons. Poor management of locker system as appears given out close together rather than distributed around room to give more space. If it was my hotel I would reduce price of bar drinks and advertise the fact to attract more people as too expensive.

We were able to arrive early and take part in the activities ahead of check in, and we were welcome to stay after check out also. The lady in the Children's activity room was lovely. So welcoming, friendly and patient with the children. She made a special effort to learn everyone's name and the children made some lovely crafts to take home. Parking was for the duration of our stay, and location was excellent so the car could stay parked at the hotel. The food was excellent in the restaurant for evening meal and breakfast. The evening entertainment was very good for families. Our ground floor family room was very quiet.

The room was a little tired and could be updated. It was a ground floor room, so you had to draw the curtains if you wanted to change as there were no blinds or privacy at the window.

Great location, loads to do to keep the kids happy, would have been just as happy without the kids enjoying the the bar and live music upstairs. Breakfast was organised, plentiful and hot. Staff were brill. Was defo with paying the extra for a sea view. Our room was at the front and lovely. Some people were moaning they were at the back without a lift so I’d make sure you’re at the front… We paid for breakfast but not evening meal. Beautiful Greek restaurant pretty much across the road (stairs to the back, lift to the front) called something like Atlantia???!! and that had a sea view. Big enough for families to sit away from couples… (we had a wild 2 year old with us!)

Everything was great 👍

Food was very good but, because of Blackpool lights just starting and last days of school holiday dining area was a little frantic. This was somewhat expected but, gentleman seeing us to tables was excellent. The Sunday breakfast was a little more calm. Room was nice with good view across sea front. Car park quite busy (as one would expect) but, we managed a space in the 'below' car park which kept the car cool.

Not a case of what we didn't like but felt that with no bath mat or rail it would have been easy to slip. A 'not too expensive' rectification I'm sure!!

Speedy reception and greeted with news of an upgrade in both rooms which was nice. Lots of facilities I might have used on a different kind of break. The breakfast offered was good with all staple ingredients served freshly cooked. We enjoyed a relaxing drink on the terrace adjoining the bar on one evening. The rooms were large and the en-suites were well maintained, bright and clean.

The underground section of car parking was a little tight at the entrance for a family saloon so care is needed negotiating this. The small lift struggled to cope with remembering it had been called (1st and 3rd floors in this case) leaving you stranded for over 5 minutes at times

Lovely clean hotel in a very convenient location on the promenade at St Anne’s. The leisure facilities were wonderful and the hot tub/jacuzzi was amazing and just what I needed. My room was very spacious and the bathroom was massive with separate shower to the bath and a separate toilet room. There was a lovely little veranda to sit out on which was a lovely touch. The bed was so comfortable for me also. Would highly recommend The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We've stopped here before so new this hotel was excellent. Arrived at 4ish plenty of parking space. The staff on reception where very helpful and friendly. A lift upto our room , the room was a large double with a great power shower and a bath if you wish. Hairdryer, tea coffee making facilities, balcony with table and chairs the bed was really comfy with good pillows. Breakfast was excellent in the morning the staff where very attentive and friendly the food was lovely the kitchen staff kept everything topped up. Check out 11am

Only thing I can think of is the bar prices are a little expensive
