The staff are all very friendly (especially one young chap up in Sora who went out of his way to explain the menu etc when we popped up for a nosey on check-in). If you stay longer than one night, you can opt for eco cleaning of your room and receive drinks vouchers for the bar (valid in both). Breakfast was extremely good, delicious and well presented. The hotel is in a fantastic location. There are two free bus services in Manchester (number 1 & 2). We took the 2 from Piccadilly station to Deansgate (3 stops) and then it was a quick walk to the hotel. In the other direction, a few minutes walk will get you to St Peter's Square with all the tram stops. We took the tram to Media City for the Lowry Theatre and Imperial War Museum. We also took a tram back to the airport on our last day. I can also recommend a walking tour (Rock n Goal) which gives a great insight into Manchester.

The only thing that let the rooms down for me was the lighting. It is really difficult to see properly in the mirrors in the bedroom (for example when drying your hair). It would also be good to have some hooks to hang wet jackets on (maybe near the door).

Breakfast excellent . Good choice and high standard. Also had lunch which was very good from the bar. The beds comfy The hotel was nice and cool , you could turn the temperature up in the rooms but usually I find the heating too high in most hotels so made a nice change.

Booked two rooms and advised booking.com that I required a twin room as it was myself and my son staying. I had paid for a larger room on that basis. They had allocated a double room and said booking.com had not advised them of this. We therefore had to move rooms to a standard twin room.

The hotel was clean, staff were pleasant, and for a last moment booking and getting to the hotel early, I was very pleasantly surprised the room was ready, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. Will definitely be coming back again one day

The one thing I didn’t like about the hotel if I had pick something is that, after a certain time only one lift was available to use as the other was mainly used for the restaurant and some times was a bit of wait for the lift. But other than that it was an excellent stay.

This is a fantastic new hotel with great facilities. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were fantastic, - with great facilities and a great shower. Everywhere was exceptionally clean. The breakfast was great with lots of choice. We also enjoyed the rooftop hotel bar and service. It is in a great location and was reasonably priced. I would definitely stay again.

The Town Hall is being renovated and there is a lot of building nearby. That said, there is nothing the hotel can do about that.

Lovely and clean hotel. Loved the decor! All staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Loved the little 'special touch' in our room - it was my husbands 50th birthday and the team left a card with free vouchers for cocktails (although we only saw it on the day we checked out and so couldn't use it as it was no longer valid!)

The lighting in the room was quite low and while I understand that this adds to the ambience, I struggled to see properly to dry my hair and do my make-up!

Gorgeous contemporary rooms, excellent level of aesthetics, lovely for celebrations, spoilt with choc strawberries and a complimentary cocktails as celebrating at 30th birthday! Location brilliant for city centre.

Some elements of the room did now work- some lights around the bed/ towel rail in bathroom, nowhere to plug fridge in without moving it across the room. No affiliations with parking providers.

Stayed for 2 nights, first night I was on the First floor which was SO noisy - I did not sleep. I was moved the following night to the 6th floor which was lovely. The room had a ceiling light fitting that would not turn off - I had to try and block the light so that I could sleep.

We loved the Unique decor! Which is normal for the malmaison hotels. Very Comfortable bed and perfect location.

We was on level 1 and with that came lots of traffic noise. Luckily me and my daughter can sleep through this but I know a lot of people would find it very difficult, if this is the case for you definitely request a higher room. Also can get quite warm in the rooms.

Design. Just as on pictures. Modern, stylish, and individual. Super clean bathroom. Late checknout and great breakfast for two included. Location literally in the heart of the Centre. We left lagguages when we left for the conference without any problems.

There was no bathrobe in rooms. Didn't have to be, I know. But it would be lovely if there was

Lovely staff. Clean, modern and beautiful hotel. My room was more spacious than other malmaisons I have stayed in and the offer to get a free drink instead of changing my bed sheets each night was a treat!

I would have liked a little more light in my room to be able to see properly in the mirrors... But it's a Malmaison and the darker aesthetic was to be expected
